Alluring Pot is a Consumable Item in Elden Ring. It can be thrown to lure foes of human build, and requires an empty Ritual Pot to craft.
Craftable item prepared using a ritual pot.
Enchanted with assasin incantations.
Consumes FP. Throw to create a pale shadow.
The illusion will lure in and distract foes of human build outside
of combat, while demi-humans will be lured in even during combat.
Alluring Pot use in Elden Ring
Alluring Pot uses FP when thrown to lure humanoid foes to its location. Most foes are only affected outside of combat, but Demi-Humans are affected even if they're in combat.
Elden Ring Alluring Pot Crafting Guide
To craft an Alluring Pot you need the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [21] as well as the following Crafting Materials:
- Albinauric Bloodclot x1
- Human Bone Shard x5
- Empty Ritual Pot x1
Elden Ring Alluring Pot Notes & Tips
- You can hold up to 10 Alluring Pot, depending on how many Ritual Pots you have
- You can store up to 600 Alluring Pot
- Sell Value: Alluring Pot cannot be sold
- Once a Alluring Pot is thrown, its Ritual Pot will be available for crafting another throwing pot
The Virgin Alluring Pot:
- Requires an uncommon crafting material dropped by frog bois (annoying to farm for)
- Requires an uncommon crafting material dropped by skeletons (annoying to farm for)
- Requires one of ten container items which could hold a powerful elemental bomb instead and can't be repurposed in combat
- Outclassed for stealth purposes by Shattershard Arrows (or just standard arrows), which are significantly easier to craft and can even do damage
- Can't lure ANYTHING but humanoids (???) OUTSIDE OF COMBAT or demi-humans during combat
- Requires FP to use (????), and MORE FP than a Glintstone Pebble (?????)
The CHAD Alluring Skull:
- Readily available for purchase from multiple merchants
- Can hold 10 at a time WITHOUT sacrificing potential damaging consumables or other utility items
- Works IN COMBAT on every enemy you'd want it to affect (dogs, thralls, etc.)
- Works vs. NPCs, allowing you to gain a brief respite for healing or manuevering to backstab/ready a spell cast
- Is a skull, which is COOL
Looking over how HARD they nerfed the luring consumables, it's clear that someone HATED how useful it was previously. As it stands, save your Ritual Pots for a Giantsflame or Sacred Order pot; they'll destroy groups of enemies or Deathbirds, respectively. This is just pitiful, really.

Finally an effective counter to powerful Demi humans. Thanks Miyazaki.

Better off throwing a Kukri at a wall to get attention, these last maybe 3 seconds.

So, these don't work vs NPC summons while you're invading. Which is a shame because they worked in DS3 when using alluring skulls. Which means you're forced to deal with an NPC that does good damage and has 5000+ hp as an invader. Good thing the NPCs are as dumb as rocks.

Foes of human build includes demihumans and invaders. This especially includes invaders that use Rivers of Blood. They do look and act like demihumans but are not (not in game at least)

Wish these lasted longer. Can't even get a horde of 6 enemies to group up for a Cannon of Haima (uncharged)

Nerfed from DS3 because they're afraid of you making NPCs jump off cliffs for easy kills lol

Useful for the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, as it works on the omens there.

Completely useless item and why the heck are the upgrade materials so hard to get? We had alluring skulls in other games, easily accessible and worked on most enemies and "during combat" (the moment where you actually need them), Miyazaki why you hate no hit runners.
Should have put Ranni in the pot. Like "Here boys, come get a free waifu".
