Very reliable if you are using a slash/piercing arcane weapon and you are fighting something resistant to it and bleed. Even a dagger can do massive damage with it. It's so cheap and precise, good to defeat enemies behind walls, birds, hit dragon heads. My savior in my daggers only run.

You can get it by siding with Leda in shadow keep and killing him, then you get this with his bow but your locked out of obsidian lamina, right? Let me know pls.

really wish we could Alter the head piece to get rid of the hair and beard. I'd love to get that 5% boost to Bloody Slash, but I can't have the hair and beard sticking out so noticeably and unaesthetically on my stealth character.

I never just killed him in Shadow Keep so I can't say but you definitely get his set (and bow) if you side with Leda against him.

If you have a face you want to show off. Fang Helm works surprisingly well. Aristocrat Headband matches the pureblood knight's medal. Any piece of the High Priest set with Ansbach's Attire. The Juvenile Scholar Hat if that's your vibe.

Hmm, what helmet would go with this set, other than Sanguine Noble Hood? I don't want to use Ansbach's own helm because that's specifically his look. I want to honor him, not copy him.

I think bloodblade dance isn't effected because it isn't orginating from Mohg's dynasty, but instead Eleonara had it before joining and it only got 'blessed' with blood.

Why the hell doesn't it work with Eleonora Poleblade if it works with Reduvia and Rivers?! Or any of Mohg's stuff? If it only works with some of them then why lie in the item description smh. I'm not saying they need it, but I am saying that the armor does not do what it says it does and that annoys the hell out of me. What's with the DLC leaving the damage bonuses and boosts out of things like this and the Godfrey Icon?!

Would making this set boost bloodflame incantations really have been too much to ask? I can understand not wanting to torque the human rights violations that are Bloodblade Dance and Blodboon ritual even though those are probably as dynastic as a dynastic skill can get, but missing out on a damage buff to something like Bloodflame Talons or the Bloodboon incant is a huge missed opportunity. Oh, and the fact that ANSBACH’S armor doesn’t boost Furious Blade of ANSBACH is almost as hilariously depressing as the headpiece that “boosts the power of Miquella’s light” and yet doesn’t affect the incantation literally called Light of Miquella.

I absolutely screwed up (as I really didn't have the knowledge) about this. I ran into him at the Specimens room, raid the whole building. Burned the tree, fought Radahn, killed him. No summon option or dead body near site of grace. What now? Any place where he invades you and you get his armor set? Or NG+?

The problem of this armor is that now, whenever I plan to build a blood tax or bloody slash build, I certainly would feel compelled to use this **** cause otherwise isn't optimized damage and this will be biping in my head all the time.
I dont know, for me this is a problem for Elden Ring and DS2 the fact that there are so many armors with special effects and fs putted this dilenma to we to choose between fun and competitive optimization

It's possible to hit 51 poise with 3 pieces of this armor set on if you forgo the chest piece. Lots of chest pieces will get you to 51, basically anything with 34 poise or more: Armor of Solitude, Veterans, Radahn's Lion Armor, Tree Sentinel, Gaius' Armor, etc. With any other 3 pieces on, the most you can hit is 50 using Verdigris Greaves.

When I use this set and do the one heavy follow up attack on obsidian lamina, I do 2500 damage. Without the armor, I do 2700 damage. No talismans that increase damage with lower weight load or anything.

However, If i use flame grant me strength and golden vow with this set, I do 3500 damage. Without the set, 3100 damage.

I do more damage without the armor using the aow the armor is supposed to buff If I dont use any incantations, but if I do use incantations, I do more damage wearing the armor than not.

Wtf? Is it glitched? Is it buffing the incantations but not the weapon skill? Even then it shouldn’t do less damage.

You do not have to summon in the Radahn fight to get his drops.

But if you don't summon him for the NPC gank fight then you will be locked out of his drops.

Does not seem to buff Morgott's Cursed Sword skill despite him being brother of Mohg and the skill being blood flame. Sad days. Did the exact same damage with and without the set equipped.

i tested this and can confirm this only buffs ash of war skill not the incantation. the skill is : all the blood AOW, rivers of blood ash of war, and reduvia but not the mohg spear which is odd.

Ok, this set apparently increases ALL skills related to the Blood Lord, even weapon skills and Ashes of War
The damage of the Reduvia and Rivers of Blood skills is increased by this set (I tested it)
Ash of War: Bloody Slash's damage is increased (I tested it)

You can just kill him in the shadow keep's 1st floor for his armor and set. For his scythe and incantation however you need to keep him alive until the final boss.

Looks like each piece of this set increases the damage of Blood Oath Incantations and Dynast Weapon Skills by 3%, so 12% for the full set.
