Ash of War: Palm Blast is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material in Elden Ring. It is a brand-new Ash of War in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Ash of War: Palm Blast provides Standard affinity and the Palm Blast Skill. Ashes of War can be equipped on Weapons and Shields to modify the Skill or an equipment, or to apply affinities that modify scaling values. Palm Blast allows the caster to imbue the palm of the hand with energy and use it to strike a devastating blast.
This Ash of War grants no affinity to an armament, but imparts the following skill:
"Palm Blast: Skill of the spiritual seekers known as the Dryleaf Sect. Imbues hand with energy before using a palm strike to unleash an explosive blast. The already formidable power and impact can be bolstered by charging the attack."
Usable on hand-to-hand weapons.

It's a shame that equipping this on dane's footwork doesn't dynamically turn it into a kick

i loved how this was before, especially since you could run in and punish it and get away safely, but it baits you into continuing to hit them and getting deleted in return
hope poise nerf wasn't too bad

I wish it was a ash of war so I could place it over the dryleaf arts and add damage with the quality affinity

keep it as a swap for invasions, wall banging people with the fully charged version is so stupid and fun

Please correct these assumptions if incorrect:
1) damage scales purely with AR and upgrade level
2) damage type (element) is based on weapon infusion (i.e. fire infusion means this skill will deal fire and physical damage like the weapon itself)

I got one shot by an invader. RL200. I had full HP with 60 VIG, Boiled Crab active, Dragoncrest GreatShield talisman, and armor (35 Endurance), and Scaduetree Blessing level 18. Still got one shot. Seriously? This is most likely broken...

This thing stole poleblade of the buds hyper armor and then some

Damage of this ability appears to be tied to weapon damage, so anything that increases your weapon AR will increase the damage of this ability.

Good for bosses, since it seems to give you a lot of hyperarmor during the charge. If you know which attack to trade with, it's pretty good.
I'm guessing Alexander's Shard + Godfrey's Icon to get full use of it.

Deal very high damage, the whole animation (charging and attacking) make you gain +25% damage negation to all resistance. (of course not counting the little cooldown at the end)
With the DLC we can really get to a high damage negation especially with the verdigris discus, making this ash very good in the first NG cycles. But, when it come to NG+7, rolling MIGHT be more viable : because every enemies hit like a truck, and thus even high defense often look like a joke.
One host tried to hyperarmor my Maliketh's blade wa with this *skull emoji*

Invoke the power of a drunken father coming home after an exceptionally stressful day at work. Combine with Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon and the domestic abuse lawsuit is all but guaranteed

You can stunlock most normal enemies with this until they die. When they're pushed back by this and you do a heavy, their stance gets broken.

The hyperarmor on this! Other than grab attacks, there hasn't been a single instance of me getting knocked out of this. This is better than rolling sparks, atleast in PVE.

YOOOOOOOOO... this is the answer to Swift Slash Spam! It can win trades easily with the hyper armor, damage reduction, and heavy damage!

This is amazing on a faith build. At this point I feel like I'm just bullying these bosses.

it give you too hiper armor and protection when you are charching(I d'ont now how much). For the PVE you con do very cool thinks

Well, I guess I shoulda looked at the wiki before the penultimate boss fight. Now I can never get this awesome ash of war unless I go to NG+ or somebody drops it for me

I killed him late game and he only dropped the weapon. I went back and he's gone. Does this mean I lost the opportunity to get the ash of war?

My 58vig got nuked 70% of my hp by a fully charged blast my god and i thought i was winning

This move has so much hyper armor its insane. Almost nothing will knock you out of it.

you will NOT get the ash of war if you do not kill him through any other means than emoting ):
