Another frost stomp instead of the rock stomp Gold Godfrey, Godfrey, Hoara Loux, Crucible Knights and Messmer Soldiers use.

Seems bugged with the magic scorpion charm. It does less damage for some reason when equipped.
Seems like it has a slightly lower frost buildup than Hoarfrost. Not by much though, on the enemy tested, this would inflict on the 3rd cast during the ice crystal burst, and Hoarfrost would inflict immediately on the 3rd cast. Damage difference is immense though

I’m not saying it doesn’t look cool because it does. It’s just kinda lame for a boss spell to be almost the same as hoarfrost stomp, could have been something… anything different =/

Interestingly, this is quite a bit different from Hoarfrost Stomp, at least more than I thought. With Hoarfrost, the damage of the skill is mainly backloaded by the shatter of the ice, where as the main portion of damage on this on the initial spawn of the ice.

Not a bad AoW, its a better Frost Stomp which is a good AoW but I feel dissapointed that being a Remembrance reward feels a bit undelwhelming, Waves of Darkness which is also a Remembrance Reward is very strong and unique, I wish this one could alternate between Frost or Lightning or add a follow up move.

Don't know if anybody already mentioned, but the damage isn't increased by just intelligence, it's increased by whatever the weapon scales with. For example, if you have a weapon with keen affinity, the ash will increase in damage with dex. I don't know if everyone already knew that and I'm just dumb, but I thought ashes like this only scaled with intelligence.

Worth noting this Ash is kinda neat in that the skill can combo in the light attack chain. I've been using it with the Rotten Greataxe and you can go stomp -> light attack 2 -> light attack 3 which is kinda cool because that first stomp comes out pretty quick and can stagger a few light enemies at a time pretty easily.

It's super cool looking, but I can't see a single thing in that ice effect.

I wonder how this will work on the Clayman’s Harpoon, since it deals Magic damage and can benefit from a while bunch of talismans.

Sounds like pre-nerf release day Frost Stomp, but looks cooler. I like it.

so this works with godfrey icon, shattered stone talisman, and of course alexander's shard and magic scorpion charm (but not the enraged divine beast talisman, sadly). damage numbers can get pretty crazy if you stack all the magic damage buffs out there

such a badass boss fight. after grinding it for hours i am a little disappointed at the rememberences. i was hoping there would be some weapon or skill that utitlized the whole lightning wind and frost combination; some cool ass ****ing power that the lion does... but its just a really specific talisman and an ash of war that already exists
Hoarfrost Stomp but chargeable? Kinda like the three Carian AoWs (Greatsword, Grandeur and Sovereignty)

Pretty decent with Cold Dryleaf Arts. Remember to use the Shattered Stone Talisman! It will buff the damage of both the stomp as well as your various kick attacks. Double dipping!
Currently unsure which is better, the Palm or the Stomp. Both are pretty useful. Palm has hyper armor and does more damage, but is lower range, lower AoE, and slower. Stomp has more AoE, is faster, builds up frost, but does less damage.

Was hoping due to the name this would be a Faith Scaling version of what Hoarfrost offers Int scaling, disappointing to see from searching it up that it's still an int scaling but it will be fun to see what Hoarfrost users do with it.

This and Waves of Darkness have an interesting interaction when used at the very edge of cliffs or floors. They will go down to the very bottom of large chasms, making them highly useful against players "button squatting", that is, sitting on an elevator's button to prevent you from being able to call an elevator via a lever. Waves of Darkness and this will also be useful if you are above any enemies that can't reach you, or if you are above them while they climb a ladder. You do have to be careful of positioning while doing these attacks, as too far back, and you won't send the attack down below you, and too far forward, and your attack may make you slip off the edge to your death. Get a feel for it. There are other attacks with this property, namely some Dragon Cult Lightning Incantations.
