Baldachin's Blessing is a Consumable Item in Elden Ring. Most Consumables grant various effects such as restorative properties for recovering HP, removing certain negative status effects or applying temporary buffs and debuffs, while others can be thrown at enemies to deal damage.
Favor bestowed by a deathbed companion. Protection of a hidden temple in the guise of a bedchamber.
Uses FP to temporarily boost poise.
The favor allows one to forget any aches and pains. In Death, there is only peace, for in Death, there can be no sensation.
Baldachin's Blessing Use in Elden Ring
Baldachin's Blessing has the following effects:
- When in Inventory, Max HP is reduced -5%
- When used, grants +35% physical damage negation and +34% poise for 15 seconds
- Also prevents stagger from attacks with damage level 0/1/2/3/5/8/11 for 15 seconds
This is a Body Buff and will not stack with other buffs of the same type.
- See Buffs and Debuffs for more information on stacking buffs.

Trivia
- From Wikipedia: "A baldachin, or baldaquin (from Italian: baldacchino), is a canopy of state typically placed over an altar or throne. [...] In the Middle Ages, a hieratic canopy of state (or "estate"), cloth of honour, or cloth of state was hung above the seat of a personage of sufficient standing, as a symbol of authority. The seat under such a canopy of state would normally be raised on a dais. The cloth above a seat generally continued vertically down to the ground behind the seat. Emperors and kings, reigning dukes and bishops were accorded this honour."

took one of this right before you went to the colosseum it one of the best buffs.

This is essentially one of the MOST powerful buffs in the game.
33% damage reduction which is multiplicative with your defences meaning you sherk off roughly 50% of damage you recieved.
+50% stagger resistance.
With any good armor you're attacks become uninterruptible.
This means you will win EVERY attack trade. All of them. There's no trade you don't win. You also get the follow up attack, while your enemy staggers.

Would have been cool if the game let us stack these blessings along with a bigger HP penalty. Literally overdosing on simping.

This is one of those items I never actually use because I'm never sure "is THIS the point where 15 seconds of heavy durability will be the difference between life and death?" so I never actually try it (especially since Fia has left the Roundtable Hold by now so I only have this one). Hell, I never even use Rune Arcs because I'm never sure whether it would actually help me, or just be a waste, despite having HEAPS of those. So I've just been wearing this 5% max HP penalty since practically the beginning of the game for no damn reason.

Basically like the special blood vials in bloodborne. Something extra to help people get through early to mid game bosses.

Does anyone know the status difference when using this in PvP? Is it 5% instead of 35 or what?
- Anonymous
You can get an infinite amount of these, here's how:
Get FIA to the deproot depths and defeat her champions.
DO NOT talk to her in secret. DO NOT give her the halowbrand from Ranni's quest. (Don't pick it up to be sure) This will keep you from fighting Fortissax or get the rewards from winning.
DO NOT interact with D's brother. To be sure, you should also kill him so he can't kill Fia.
BOOM INFINITE BALDACHIN'S BLESSINGS.

You can however hold 1 regular baldachin's, and the greater variant.

This item essentially makes your super sayan for 15 seconds. If an annoying boss has very little health, pop this and facetank trade them for the win. The only problem is remembering that you have this item with you, and the actually use it. The other problem is remembering to get one before a boss.

The fact people think this item is bad or useless speaks volume of how little people understand poise and damage negation. This is my favorite item in the game. 5% hp is nothing. I'd give that up in a heartbeat to make this item similar to the wonderous flask (refills when resting). I pretty much pick one up b4 every remembrance boss and the occasional tough boss. Get em about 33% hp pending boss hp, pop this, and then just rampage while being able to easily trade and practically unstaggerable. Between the Shackles and this, the Omen twins are a joke.

Probably one of the subtlest trolls in the history of gaming

This is actually kinda good. Lets you get off charged attacks off. I use Axe talisman+crimson dagger and that paired with the spiked cracked tear+opaline bubbletear means everything gets staggered and critically hit

I played the entire game with -5% HP. Over 100 hours I had this in my inventory because (as with literally every consumable) I was saving it for later.
- Anonymous
Had over a hundred hours and barely used it awhile ago to remove the debuff lol. I could of had used it before but didn’t really know about the debuff it gives until I saw a YouTube video. Thing is I should have used it on against a better enemy and I won’t get one again until another play through or ng+

I got this pretty early, then forgot about it, since I thought I would just keep it for later. Always made me wonder why I had less health then I should. I think it took me until after the second story boss to realize, that she metioned something aboout "sharing my warmth" that meant sacrificing HP.
While I am really greatefull for the (de)buff indicators, it would sometimes be great to now where each comes from.

A reminder from Miyazaki that simping is not done without personal cost
Why does this only last for 15 seconds. it should last WAY longer than that like 1 minute or something. Also doesn't help that after doing fias quest it is longer obtainable until NG. I think that you could actually just remove the radiant baldachins blessing and copy and paste its effect on this item and it wouldn't be so bad.

wait this reduces your HP ? its been in my inventory since the beginning and im on ng+3

What this thing debuffs??
No wonder theres always a sign at the top left corner lmao

This item is extremely powerful. But you're NOT supposed to hold onto it. It is intended to be received just before a big fight, and USED right before a big fight. An extra 50% poise is UNBELIEVABLY strong. It makes you essentially unstaggerable for 15 sec, which is plenty of time for a very strong opening ion a boss fight, (like say a really long animation Art of War or spell). This Item alone is enough to make incantations like Scarlet Aeonia viable if timed correctly, especially in PvE.
And then when you consider that the debuff disappears as soon as you use the item, the downsides become very easy to work around.

I think it should be said that you can warp during the animation of her releasing you from the hug upon getting the blessing, if you really don't want to see it of course. I feel like half of the reason everybody hates this item is that you have to stand still for a solid 20s.

It now gives exactly 52% poise actually, I tested it myself with the bull goat set at 100 poise.

I hate her :( I didn't realise that she debuffed me till I had a close look at that status and there was an arrow pointing down
- Anonymous
I'm up by the fire Giants and I just realized this has been debuffing me 5% of my health

Half way through my third playthrough I just discovered this was debuffing me the entire time.
- Anonymous
I kept it in my inventory and didn't find out about the debuff until near the end of the game and never used it lol
- Anonymous
What on earth is the use of this if it is a one-time consumable that is available ONCE per playthrough? WTF.....
- Anonymous
Patch 1.03 updated the blessings from giving outright Hyperarmor to just giving 33% bonus poise for regular and 45% for Radiant version (damage reductions remained the same).
Still worth getting a hug for damage reduction, but no longer a extra discount Physick.

Going to try popping this before I open with Dragon Communion Incantations. Maybe I can get one off XD

When I recollect my runes, I dont get all of them back. The blessing is the only thing that's special in my inventory, is that also a side effect of it?
- Anonymous
Whoever doesn't get the double meanings here should look at this image more carefully.
The blessing drains your vigor, but makes you bold, 'nuff said.
And the legend of useless items in fromsoft's games continues.

I had both the radiant and the non radiant versions in my inventory after completing Fia’s quest and getting the rune. I just used the non radiant version and got rid of the debuff. Having just the radiant in your inventory does NOT give you a debuff, so use this information as you will.

So.... accidently sold it before later realizing about debuff.... anyway to get another?

Great, spend the entire game blissfully unaware that your missing hp... and go to town doing PvP for 40 hours straight with the debuff on.

This item is absolutely terrible. I've been playing this whole time with lower health.

- Motherly affection weakens you
What did Mitsubishi-san mean by this?
- Anonymous
"Poise boos"t is in fact not poise but hyperarmor to all small/low damage hits.
- Anonymous
so THAT’s why my hp was a bit lower than it was supposed to be. i’m a ****ing idiot lmao
- Anonymous
Post nut clarity. Numbs you to pain but also saps your vitality a little.
- Anonymous
Am I the only one who got the debuff but no Item to remove it? I searched every part of my inventory and talked to her again and again - no item to remove it. Any ideas what to do?
- Anonymous
since nobody mentioned this below, having it in your inventory reduces your max health by 5%
- Anonymous
There's also a 'Radiant Baldachin's Blessing' to be obtained from her.
I don't think you can get it more than once, considering what happens depending on your choices after giving her the mark.
- Anonymous
That one dialogue option with her, is quite possibly the chaddest line our main character says.
He just straight up asks for it.
Stop being dumb, if you used the items and looked at your stats, you would had noticed the +35% physical absorption that last for a whole 15 seconds, also works in multiplier and i can reach 55% damage negation XD

Anyone know exactly how much Poise this gives you?
Also you get a 5% health debuff while it's in your inventory and it stays on until you use it then rest at a grace.
-Matt Robot

Use it to remove the -5% hp debuff, given by the Lady after she hugs you. After used it, rest in any Site of Grace and let time pass.
- Anonymous
Wait. She hugs you, and then she gives you this thing to let you forget "aches and pains..."

This gives you a health debuff after she hugs you, which only goes away after you use the item.
- Anonymous
This item lowers the player's max health as well while being in its inventory! Health status effect with a black arrow pointing down.
Consuming it removes the status after the poise effect wears off.
- Anonymous
While you have this in your inventory, you appear to have a permanent healh debuff, though the effect goes away after you use it.
