Ballista Bolt is an Arrow in Elden Ring. Ballista Bolt is specifically designed for the Hand Ballista and Jar Cannon weapons. The Ammunition for these weapons cannot be used in Greatbows, Crossbows, Longbow or Shortbow.

- x15 can be purchased from the Isolated Merchant for
300 Runes. He can be found in his shack at the very west of the Weeping Peninsula. [Map Link]
- x8 can be bought from the Nomadic Merchant at the eastern side of Weeping Peninsula, for

- Unlimited can be purchased from the Nomadic Merchant in Mt. Gelmir for

- Unlimited can be purchased from the Hermit Merchant at Hermit Merchant's Shack for
300 Runes.
- Unlimited can be purchased from the Nomadic Merchant in Mountaintops of the Giants, on the ledge above the Snow Valley Ruins grace.

How to Craft Elden Ring Ballista Bolt
- The Ballista Bolt cannot be crafted by the player, instead the player can craft the Bone Ballista Bolt which does 10 less physical damage compared to the standard Ballista Bolt

Buy and craft bolts instead it’s much easier

These seem all around better than the explosive bolts. Youre not going to one shot important crowds with the explosive, but the regular bolts get full counter damage and most things youd want to shoot from a distance are weaker to pierce than fire.

The Hermit Merchant at Leyndell also sells an unlimited amount of Ballista Bolts.

Ballista bolts fired by either the Hand Ballista or Jar Cannon have innate punch through. You can hit multiple enemies with a single bolt.
Note, the other explosive bolts don't have that property (but they explode in an aoe anyways).

Bolts are 300 runes everywhere. Mt Gelmir merchant does not sell them for 160.

Not sure which Cookbook gives you them, but you can craft "Bone Ballista Bolts" with Hefty Beast Bones.

Can you craft these? I don't there being any way to reliably use the hand ballista without the ability to make or buy the bolts permanently
