Beast Champion Armor is a Chest Armor in Elden Ring. Beast Champion Armor is part of the Beast Champion Set, and is a Heavyweight chest armor that boasts superior Physical and Magical defenses. Beast Champion Armor is an armor piece worn over or around the player's torso to obtain an increase of defense and resistance. It also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Silver armor engraved with tiny beasts.
Worn by Bernahl the Recusant.
Beasts are drawn to champions, and to lords. And this armor befits a champion worthy of becoming a lord. And that is what Bernahl was.
Until his maiden threw herself into the fire.

So why did she throw herself into the fire? Who was his maiden? So many questions! Love it

Cannot believe how much of an improvement the unaltered version is. Love the double cape and...whatever the shiny thing is!

I like to pair this set and the cape with the Shining Horned Headband, it goes amazingly for a Greatsword Strength build with some faith sprinkled in.

Odd lore implication with this armor. If his maiden threw herself onto the fire, why didn’t the tree burn? Perhaps it needs a certain amount of sacrifices, perhaps only Melina can fulfill this role or perhaps there is a requirement a maiden needs to meet before it could work.
Ugh, the DLC better give us a veritable mountain of lore.

I got this and the bell bearing early by killing the snake boss before completing all of the invasions, I think.

"Until his maiden threw herself into the fire."
why she do that???

Take any other chest armor and have boc "alter" it and you just take the cape off and with it maybe 1 unit of weight or so, and lose 2-3 poise and ~1% across the board on your absorptions. Makes one think capes add a lot of poise and are fairly weight efficient. This chestpiece has a uniquely-incredible-looking cape that somehow does NOT add any poise or much defense, but adds a considerable amount of weight as well. Ain't no way

Unknown but at 7:30 pmish I have an unaltered version of this chest piece... don't know how

I just killed him at war masters shack and got his whole set, altered chest piece and devourers scepter and his bell bearing

Beast Champion Armor? More like DRIP Champion Armor! If only the helm was just as cool as the rest of the set.

As of the current patch you can no longer get the cool purple cape. rip purple cape.

can anyone expand on the lore of his finger maiden throwing herself into the fire?
There is a glitch with this piece of armor that can make the cape an alternate purple texture.
There's 2 ways to do it but the easiest way to do it is requires both an altered and unaltered version in your inventory (Get an extra in NG+ or have somebody drop it).
Equip any armor, then switch to the altered version, then switch to the unaltered version, then you'll have the purple cape.
The other way to do it involves unaltering the armor while it's equipped but you cannot do this in coop or PVP because you need to access a grace

Actually looks really nice with the Bull-Goat legs and gloves, if you want high poise but don't want to sacrifice style; and this armor has a lot of style with the cape.

Add the cape to this chest, put on Loretta's Royal Knight Helm and thats some sick Elden Bling right there

i think the cape is bugged in some way for this amor, bc u can get 2 different version of the cape. one is blue and the other one is kinda a violet color
the way to get the violet version is 1. unequip the armor, 2. remove its cape (or u have it without the cape to begin with), 3. alter it when u are not wearing it. 4. wear it again and u have a violet cape

would be nice if you could remove just the blue cape and leave the white one

This item set can be obtained by going to the Warmasters Shack in Limegrave and killing the vendor. You will also receive Devourers Scepter.
Just killed him at the first shack and he dropped the altered version of the chest piece.
