Bloody Finger Hunter Yura Location in Elden Ring
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura can initially be found under an overpass directly northeast of Seaside Ruins in southern Limgrave. [Map Link]
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura Questline: How to complete Bloody Finger Hunter Yura's Quest
- [Required] Bloody Finger Hunter Yura can initially be found under a ruin directly northeast of "Seaside Ruins" Grace [Map Link] in southern Limgrave. He will warn the Tarnished not to explore Agheel Lake because of the danger of a dragon. In order to progress Yura's quest, the player must speak with him at least once, either in this location, or after the Nerijus fight at his location north of Murkwater Cave.
- [Optional] Kill the Dragon in Agheel Lake
- [Missable] Yura will congratulate the player and inform them of the location of Church of Dragon Communion, where they can use the heart of the dragon.
- [Required] Upon approaching Murkwater Cave, the player will be invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus.
- [Optional] Yura can appear as a white summon to help against the invader.
- [Optional] After defeating the invader, Yura can be found directly north of Murkwater Cave, he's under a tunnel-like ruin. Here he will explain about his task of hunting down Bloody Fingers. [Map Link] After the player talks to him in this location, he will move back to the campfire near Seaside Ruins.
- To progress the questline player must find a Red Summon Sign at the Main Academy gate site of Grace in Raya Lucaria [Map Link]. From the Main Academy Gate site of grace, travel north past the blue seal, and Yura's invasion sign will be near the first break in the bridge. Enter his world and defeat Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin, if defeated you will get Ash of War: Raptor of the Mist. Afterward, talk to Yura who will be standing against the railing near to where his summon sign was unless the player has progressed too far in the game; if so, he will leave Nagakiba in his initial location, northeast of Seaside Ruins Grace .
- You must speak to Yura at least once for him to move to Raya Lucaria.
- If Yura or the player dies during this fight, Yura will not die, and the player can try again.
- Winning this fight will reward first a Rune Arc and Furlcalling Finger Remedy, upon returning to your own world you will recieve Ash of War: Raptor of the Mists, and upon speaking to Yura you will receive Smithing Stone [5].
- If Yura has been helped in Raya Lucaria before doing the optional quest line path, then they won't be there to congratulate you winning against the dragon etc., nor they won't appear against Bloody Finger Nerijus, nor will they appear directly north of the Murkwater Cave inside the tunnel-like path after defeating Bloody Finger Nerijus.
- You must speak to Yura at least once for him to move to Raya Lucaria.
-
[Required] Yura may be found at the Second Church of Marika on the Altus Plateau. Talking to him will reward the Nagakiba and lead to a battle with Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger. [Map Link]
- Defeating Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger will reward you with the Purifying Crystal Tear, Eleonora's Poleblade, and one Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
- Yura, whose body is taken over by Shabriri, can be found at the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace [Map Link]. Shabriri will try to persuade you to follow the path of the Frenzied Flame. You can kill Shabriri to obtain the Ronin's Set, or if you accept the Frenzied Flame from the Three Fingers, the set will be found on the ground where Shabriri stood.
- If Yura's quest is incomplete before he is possessed by Shabriri, you can still obtain most of the related items. Eleonora will invade at the Second Church of Marika, and defeating her will still grant you the Purifying Crystal Tear, Eleonora's Poleblade, and a Furlcalling Finger Remedy. The Nagakiba can be found at Yura’s last location before being possessed: at his camp northeast of the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace [Map Link], under the pass below the Murkwater Coast Site of Grace [Map Link], or near the edge of the bridge close to the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace [Map Link]. Yura will disappear after you enter the hall of the Rold Lift.
Dialogue in Elden Ring: Bloody Finger Hunter Yura
Introduction
- Ah, you must be the new Tarnished.
You'd do well to steer clear of Agheel Lake, fledgling.
A dragon roosts there... And it's as fearsome as it it majestic.
So, unless you're mad, or wish to be burned alive...
Stay clear of the lake. - Don't be a fool. Turn back, before it's too late.
During Bloody Finger Nerijus invasion
- If it isn't Nerijus, The Bloody Finger. The end is nigh. For you, and your cessblood.
After Bloody Finger Nerijus invasion
- Ah, we meet again. To have fought Nerijus and lived, you must have seen your share of battle. I am Yura, as you might recall, hunter of Bloody Fingers. Tarnished held in thrall by cessblood. Zealots who stalk their own. If you stay the path, you are certain to face more of them. Just remember, no kinship with their ilk remains. Their madness precludes it. Don't let your emotions stay your blade.
Introduction if not spoken to before Bloody Finger Nerijus Invasion
- Just joining the fray, Tarnished?
Well, you fought Nerijus and survived. That alone deserves commendation.
I am Yura. Hunter of Bloody Fingers.
Tarnished held in thrall by cessblood. Zealots who stalk their own.
If you stay the path, you are certain to face more of them.
Just remember. No Kinship with their ilk remains. Their madness precludes it.
Don't let your emotions stay your blade. - One last word of warning.
Stay clear of Agheel Lake. A great dragon roosts there.
And it's as fearsome as it is majestic.
So, unless you're mad, or wish to be burned alive...
stay clear of the lake. - Be on your way.
Perhaps we will meet again, if fate permits.
After dying to Agheel Lake Dragon, and returning to the Seaside Ruins location
- You bloody halfwit. Picking a fight with a dragon? Well, I can tell you want to see it through. Seems I'm forever crossing paths with hotheads like you.
- I can tell you want to see it through. Fools will be fools. Fight all the dragons you like.
§After killing Agheel Lake Dragon, and returning to the Seaside Ruins location
- Beautiful work, felling that dragon. And as such there's something you might like to know. That heart you brought back, its used in Dragon Communion. If you should find yourself overcome by hunger for the heart, yearning for its strength, then seek the decrepit church, on the little island off the western coast.
- You must not forget though. Those who partake in Dragon Communion will one day shed their humanity. Their hunger for dragon, their yearning, only worsens. Until the floodgates burst, unleashing eternal torment. The strength of a mighty dragon. Magnificent, but deadly. Its no surprise that Dragon Communion is ruinous.
After summoning Yura to help kill the Agheel Lake Dragon, and returning to the Seaside Ruins Location
- There you are. That was my first dragon hunt in quite some time. Paired up with a hothead like you, it was just like old times.
- Now that you've so impressively felled that dragon, there's something you should know. That heart you brought back, its used in Dragon Communion. If you should find yourself overcome by hunger for the heart. yearning for its strength, then seek the decrepit church, on the little island off the western coast.
Other
- Be on your way. Perhaps we will meet again, if fate permits.
After invading Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin
- Wretched worms, leave me be...
- Ah, oh, it's you. Thanks for your help there.
That Bloody Finger was a thorn in my side. And now I'm finally rid of him.
Here's a token of thanks. Please take it. - I may not have much time.
I'm dying to see you, Eleonora... Violet Bloody Finger... - Yes, I've been tracking Eleonora for quite some time.
She is the deadliest of all the Bloody Fingers. She's felled many an old hand already.
But in spite of her cessblood zealotry, Eleonora is a proud knight.
If she comes for you, do not think twice. You must flee.
There is no shame in self preservation.
§At the Second Church of Marika
- Eleonora, it seems I am no match for you.
But I've learned a thing or two myself, you see.
I've sliced the finger off.
Please, please, Eleonora, yield to the cessblood no longer.
Do not stain the immaculacy of your sword, your flesh, your fire...
After being attacked
- (Combat) Too late for you, eh? Well, if you've succumbed to cessblood... it's better that I finish you here.
- (On player kill) I had no choice. Your death could have been much worse.
Upon defeat
- I must not die... until she is eradicated.
Elden Ring Notes & Trivia for Bloody Finger Hunter Yura
- In combat, Yura wields a Nagakiba. When fighting him after he is possessed by Shabriri, he moves his sword to his left hand, and now has a Frenzied Flame Seal, using it to cast Unendurable Frenzy, Inescapable Frenzy, and Howl of Shabriri (insert other spells)
- Eleonora appears to have taken part in Dragon Communion based on her armor and spells used during the invasion. This explains how Yura knows about Dragon Communion and how it works, as well as the dangers of it.
- If you reach the capital, you will miss an ash of war, Raptor of the mist, his armour set and the katana can be obtained later in the game even if you miss entirely his quest (not sure about Eleonora's Poleblade) Need further confirmation: after I reached the Capital and killed the golden shade of Godfrey, I still receive the Ash of War and the Poleblade after doing the above steps, despite not doing any of his questline before that at all.

if you can't find him at raya lucaria or by seaside ruins I was able to find him underneath the ruins near where you fought Nerijus. I think I didn't speak to Yuri right after the fight so thats why he's still there.

Can we use the needle to reverse his frenzied flame? Like we can on ourselves?

If you don’t talk to him outside of the nerijus invasion you might not be able to find his summon in Raya Lucaria so make sure to not just leave after getting reduvia.
- Anonymous
Why doesn't he warn us about Okina?
He's a bloody finger and a samurai.
That should have been his nemesis.

I didn't even meet him before the posession... I have a feeling Shibariri would make a lot more sense if I had lol

Hi, going for the plat and i want the nagakiba fast. Is this guy's quest needed for the plat? From what I can tell he doesn't lead to anything needed for the achievements.
I 'm about to kill Mogh, and didn't care about his quest until now. He helped me in the river invasion, and nothing else. I just found him under the "bridge" in the river
- Anonymous
Yura disappeared from the game after I exhausted all of his dialogue. He repeated the lines and I moved on, but he still never appeared at the church of Marika. He is not under the bridge or on the raya lucaria bridge, nor is he at the second church. I have not defeated morgott yet. How do I spawn him in?
- Anonymous
For some reason Nerijus never invaded me, and that broke Yura’s questline.
- Anonymous
Apparently you can still get Raptor of the Mists after speaking with Shabriri. I completed all Limgrave parts of the quest(Nerijus & Agheel) but never was to Raya Lucaria, went to mountaintops, spoke with & killed Shabriri, but when I then came to the academy main gate the invasion sign was there. I killed the assassin and got the ash. Yura was present during the invasion itself obv, though he didn't came back from the dead to give me a smithing stone.

Why didn't Yura use the blue cipher ring when facing Eleanora? Is he casul?
- Anonymous
Can I still get Ronin armor set if I killed Yura early game in Limgrave?
- Anonymous
I did the reverse. I killed neferpito or whatever and talked to Yura. I then went to Hogwarts/Raya Lucaria and invaded. I won, got the ash. I went to find him at the second church of Marika and he’s not there. Just a npc. I haven’t killed the dragon, i checked his camp under the rubble too
- Anonymous
I actually never spoke to him, I somehow completely missed his first campsite, was walking AWAY from murkwater cave when I was invaded and missed the raven mount summon entirely. After fighting the invader I saw him next as shabriri. A shame.

So I beat Morgott and went to the Forbidden Lands before entering Raya Lucaria, and when I got to the Academy Yura’s sign is still there and I was able to help him with the Bloody Raven, but then he’s nowhere to be found at Altus…

CORRECTION: Talking to Yura in Murkwater after fighting Bloody Finger Nerijus is *not* optional, if that's the first you've spoken to him. The red summon sign at the Main Academy Gate did not appear until after I'd spoken to him there.
- Anonymous
I still managed to get Raptor of the Mist AoW despite having reached the capital.

"If the player doesn't complete the questline, the Nagakiba can be found at the last location the player spoke with Yura prior to being possessed." -> "When he is possessed, he fights with his Nagakiba in his left hand." Well then how the heck did it end up at Seaside Ruins

Just to put it here i just killed Morgott before coming back to do his quest so its definitely not cut off at the capital

Trying to get him to show up during the invasion outside of Patches' cave, and he takes his sweet old time coming to help. I'm so strong that all I can do is run, and trying to perfect dodge everything for that time is a chore.

The only thing I needed from him was raptor mist and aparently is the only thing I can't get so now I have to play at least 5 more hours just to get It :) thanks Miyazaki

Just to clarify the initial meeting conditions after some testing: while his initial location is indeed next to Seaside Ruins south of the lake, you can also consider it his primary location. He only moves temporarily north of the lake in the river, under the ruins next to the jellyfish, during the invasion that happens when walking through the middle section of this long river. Also, the invasion itself is the trigger for him to switch places, not the kill itself. You don't need to defeat Nerijus in order for him to move there; fleeing the invasion by continuing north to find Yura will give you a small variation of his line where he says "made good on your escape from Nerijus" (missing here in the wiki) instead of "to have fought Nerijus and lived" if you do manage to kill him instead. So this can be Yura's first location if you simply happened to have gone through there first.
So the wording about his movements in the Limgrave section isn't exactly clear in this regard as it states "If Yura is not at this location [Seaside Ruins], he may have moved. Yura will move to his next location if the player defeats Bloody Finger Nerijus with or without him". Rather, it's more of a temporary and conditional location until you take care of Nerijus, after which he simply moves back to his primary location, next to his fire and shelter near the Seaside Ruins.
Also, his dialogue and involvement with the dragon in the lake happens from either of the two locations above as well.

Seems like Yura is inspired by or references the Mound Makers covenant in Dark Souls III. The covenant allows you to be a mad spirit killing everyone. The rewards for the covenant are a katana called Bloodlust and a pyromancy, Warmth, which has an icon that looks like the frenzied flame/three fingers.

If you succesfully do the first step of his quest, then progress the game to the point his body gets possessed, you can still go back to Raya Lucaria and use the summon sign to do the 2nd step, even though thats no longer him

For those of you still searching for Yuras damn summon sign for Agheel when you've done everything necessary for it to appear, it's between the very northwest corner of the Dragonburnt ruins and the big ruin chunk in some trees. There's apparently another stake of marika there but for some reason the game respawns you at the one further south on the shore so it's easy to miss this one. Map coordinates -194:105 to be exact.

Never spoke to him this playthrough prior to meeting him as Shabriri at the mountaintops and I just defeated Eleonora at the church and his Nagakiba was there.

skipped to Killing Nejirus and Eleonora without ever interacting with this guy and now I can't seem to find him anymore. havent fought the ravenmount assassin but Yura's sign is nowhere to be seen. I also checked both his initial spot yet i still cant find him -_-

I literally missed this guy completely and then he showed up in the mountains saying his body must be familiar to me. I was extremely confused.

Mf really went like, "Do not eat the dragon. Do not taste its heart's supple flesh, mixed in with sharp, rocky scales that betray their ancient, deific origin. I repeat, do not eat the red, juicy, persimmon-like dragon heart. Lest you become a lowly wyrm, rhytmically slithering across the ground in an aesthetically pleasing fashion for an eternity."

OK wow, I don't understand how so many people have not understood this - spoiler warning if you care but here's a bunch of important bits about Yura (lore-wise mostly):
- When you meet Yura early in his chain, he's a "normal" Tarnished with perfectly human eyes (just swivel camera to see under Bellhat, he's got shaggy grey hair and beard and unremarkable eyes).
- If you respond to the red summons on the Academy bridge and talk to him afterwards, he tells you about Eleonara. If you think back to his second place under the fallen ruin north of Murkwater, he tells you to "let not emotion stay your blade" when fighting the Bloody Fingers. This aligns with the idea that he has some kind of personal connection to Eleonara - he's speaking from personal experience.
- Eleonara KILLS HIM. When you get to the Second Church, hurry over to where he's bleeding out on the floor and listen (or read the dialogue on the wiki section lol), he states that he was "no match" for her. After his dialogue ends, he DIES of his wounds and becomes a lootable corpse and that's why you can take his sword lol. On this spot for the rest of the game is a large bloodstain.
- It seems folks who encounter him again after this point just assumed he was still alive all that time... he was not. Shabriri took over his dead body. It's only after Eleonara kills him that he has the burning eyes of Frenzy as the other poster noticed.
hope that helps anyone confused at the sequence of events :)

First interaction with him was in the Mountaintops of the Giants, proceeded to find his Nagakiba near the Seaside Ruins, killed Bloody Finger Nerijus, but there is no red summon sign on the north bridge from the Main Academy Gate grace in Raya Lucaria?
"If the player doesn't complete Yura's quest prior to being possessed by Shabriri, they can still acquire most of the items."
- Anonymous
I just found out that it's possible to do the invasion at Raya Lucaria even after Yura is possessed. He doesn't stick around to chat after the fight though. Still, you can get all the rewards except the smithing stone.

Note: You HAVE to talk to Yura after defeating the Ravenmount Assassin on the bridge north of Raya Lucaria to continue the questline and make him appear at the Second Church of Marika and trigger the invasion of Eleonora.

I missed most of his quest in my first run and now that I've done it in full in ng+ and heard all his lines, I have to say his character has some of my favorite voice acting in the game, along with Varré. He doesn't have that many lines but man the ones he has are delivered with such raw emotion. The inflection is so genuine it really dug into my heart.

I noticed when I first met him that if I moved the camera down I could see his face, and that he already had the glowing eyes caused by frenzy. Is there some reason behind that? I think it has to do with why/how Shabriri possessed him. But I want to know more about how he got the eyes of frenzy, and if that has any significance or if it was just some visual bug?

Just watch the Witcher and notice right away how similar King Foltest's voice is with Yura.

What does he mean when he says "I've sliced the finger off"? (at the Second Church of Marika)

Not seeing him at the 2nd Church but I've done everything else. Maybe because I've defeated Mohg, the game doesn't wanna give me the chance to get the Purifying Crystal Tear

This page should be updated with the following info:
1. In order Yura's NPC summoning sign appear near the stake of Marika, the player must initially die during a fight with the dragon AND respawn at a site of grace. If a player respawns at the stake of Marika, the summoning sign will not appear. Same true for Yura's monolog berating the player for trying to fight the dragon. To trigger this dialog, the player MUST respawn at a site of grace, not at the stake of Marika. Because this additional information was missing, it took me some time to figure out on my own. Not sure if this is intentional or just deficiency in the game mechanics.
2. Once Yura has been summoned to fight the dragon, he will disappear from his initial location under the overpass nearby. From that point, the player must kill the dragon in order to trigger Yura's reappearing at the "overpass" location. This remains true regardless of whether Yura is summoned again to continue fighting the dragon.
- Anonymous
For the red sign to appear north of the main academy gate grace, you must have killed margit, the fell omen
- Anonymous
Yura will return to his starting point after murkwater regardless of if you killed the dragon or not, you just need to exhaust his dialog in murkwater
- Anonymous
If you progress too far, he'll leave his sword at his last location - not always the first. I killed Nerija but never talked to Yura and the sword was in the Murkwater cave location

This guy is absolutely useless against the dragon unless you’re underneath him. I’m a mage and he just chills next to me while I’m avoiding fire.

I've had a look through the comments but I can't see anyone mentioning it. So for anyone starting Elden Ring now or anyone just getting around to Margit and want to use the shackle, but are struggling with the npc invader the way I did, the Nerijius fight can be made a lot easier. Approach Murkwater cave from the Agheel lake end of the canyon, but take the time to kill all the skeleton enemies you'll see on the way, including those hanging from the bridge, you'll be fighting the npc invader quite close to where the skeletons are and they will agro and join in if you get close enough to them. I killed the giant mosquitoes as well to make sure they couldn't interfere either. Next equip a bow and walk towards Murkwater cave, stop moving forward when you see the message saying you are being invaded, when Nerijius spawns in and starts running towards you, try targeting him until you get a target lock. As soon as you do, shoot arrow after arrow as quickly as you can at him until he gets in range and one hits him. If you have the arrow's reach talisman or if you can hit him before he gets close enough to target lock by aiming manually all the better. As soon as you've hit him with an arrow, equip your weapon of choice and run back towards Agheel lake, you might need to practice it once to see the sweet spot of getting as close to Agheel lake as you can without Nerijius going back to his own world, but he may get to you before that can happen anyway. When he does catch up with you, for now concentrate on staying alive rather than fighting him. The point of doing all this is to be fighting Nerijius alone for the shortest amount of time possible. The timer for Yura to come and help you fight this npc apparently doesn't start until you land your first hit, so shooting Nerijius with an arrow before getting as close to Agheel lake as you can means Yura will get to you as quickly as possible. This npc invader is a lot easier to deal with, especially for low levelled characters, when Yura is there to help. As soon as Yura turns up, switch from concentrating on staying alive to killing Nerijius. I don't know if all this is obvious to everyone else, but it wasn't to me. I died more times fighting Nerijius trying to get access to Margit's shackle than I did to Margit himself, it feels like an intentional f-you from the developers.

I spoke with him initially late game and the last time I spoke with him was near Seaside Ruin. Nagakiba was where the map said he was just east of Seaside Ruin grace

"The Nagakiba can be found at the last location the player spoke with Yura prior to being possessed: 1. at Yura's camp northeast of the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace, 2. at the underpass below the Murkwater Coast Site of Grace, or 3. on the edge of the bridge a little way away from the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace."
This is false. I've reached the Mountaintops, killed Shabriri, and the Nagakiba is not in any of these 3 locations.

the worms look the same in every animation but look more like grubs or maggots than earth worms, and theres no fly people in the base game and no deathroot growing out of any of those enemies. so what do they all have in common and why do they all have worms? are the flies in deathblight the same flies as the flies in bloody excriment and golden excriment? wtf happened to yura to make him start decaying like the other enemies and get worms?
