Bloody Finger Hunter Yura is an NPC in Elden Ring. He is a hunter of Bloody Fingers and possess knowledge of the Dragon Cult. He can be summoned as an NPC Summon for the fight against the dragon he mentions, Flying Dragon Agheel, after speaking to him.

Bloody Finger Hunter Yura Questline: How to complete Bloody Finger Hunter Yura's Quest
- Bloody Finger Hunter Yura can initially be found under a ruin directly northeast of "Seaside Ruins" Grace [Map Link] in southern Limgrave. He will warn the Tarnished not to explore Agheel Lake because of the danger of a dragon.
(If Yura is not at this location, he may have moved. Yura will move to his next location if the player defeats Bloody Finger Nerijus with or without him). - [Optional] Kill the Dragon in Agheel Lake
- [Missable] Yura will congratulate the player and inform them of the location of Church of Dragon Communion, where they can use the heart of the dragon.
- [Required] Upon approaching Murkwater Cave, the player will be invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus.
- [Optional] Yura can appear as a white summon to help against the invader.
- [Optional] After defeating the invader, Yura can be found directly north of Murkwater Cave, he's under a tunnel-like ruin. Here he will explain about his task of hunting down Bloody Fingers. [Map Link] If the dragon is not killed yet Yura will go back to its starting position close to the Seaside Ruins.
- To progress the questline player must find a Red Summon Sign at the Main Academy gate site of Grace in Raya Lucaria [Map Link]. Walk through the bridge just before where the bridge drops off. Enter his world and defeat Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin, if defeated you will get Ash of war: Raptor of the mist. Afterward, talk to Yura who will be standing against the railing near to where his summon sign was unless the player has progressed too far in the game; if so, he will leave Nagakiba in his initial location, northeast of Seaside Ruins Grace .
- [Required] find him at second church of marika, to get Nagakiba and help him to defeat Eleonara
- If Yura or the player dies during this fight, Yura will not die, and the player can try again.
- Winning this fight will reward first a Rune Arc and Furlcalling Finger Remedy, upon returning to your own world you will recieve Ash of War: Raptor of the Mists, and upon speaking to Yura you will receive Smithing Stone [5].
- If Yura has been helped in Raya Lucaria before doing the optional quest line path, then they won't be there to congratulate you winning against the dragon etc., nor they won't appear against Bloody Finger Nerijus, nor will they appear directly north of the Murkwater Cave inside the tunnel-like path after defeating Bloody Finger Nerijus.

- Winning this fight will reward Purifying Crystal Tear, Eleonora's Poleblade, and one Furlcalling Finger Remedy
- Yura, who has had his body taken over by Shabriri, can be found at Zamor Ruins Grace. Shabriri will attempt to convince the player to take the path of the Frenzied Flame. The player can kill them to obtain the Ronin's Set, or find the set on the ground in Shabriri's place after accepting the frenzied flame from the Three Fingers
- If the player doesn't complete Yura's quest prior to being possessed by Shabriri, they can still acquire most of the items. Bloody Finger Eleonora will still invade at the Second Church of Marika. Killing Eleonora will still reward Purifying Crystal Tear, Eleonora's Poleblade, and one Furcalling Finger Remedy. The Nagakiba can be found at the last location the player spoke with Yura prior to being possessed: 1. at Yura's camp northeast of the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace, 2. at the underpass below the Murkwater Coast Site of Grace, or 3. on the edge of the bridge a little way away from the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace.

Elden Ring Notes & Trivia for Bloody Finger Hunter Yura
- In combat, Yura wields a Nagakiba. When fighting him after he is possessed by Shabriri, he moves his sword to his left hand, and now has a Frenzied Flame Seal, using it to cast Unendurable Frenzy, Inescapable Frenzy, and Howl of Shabriri (insert other spells)
- Eleonora appears to have taken part in Dragon Communion based on her armor and spells used during the invasion. This explains how Yura knows about Dragon Communion and how it works, as well as the dangers of it.
If you reach the capital, you will miss An ash of war, Raptor of the mist, his armour set and the katana can be obtained later in the game even if you miss entirely his quest ( not sure about Eleonora's Poleblade)
AnonymousFor those of you still searching for Yuras damn summon sign for Agheel when you've done everything necessary for it to appear, it's between the very northwest corner of the Dragonburnt ruins and the big ruin chunk in some trees. There's apparently another stake of marika there but for some reason the game respawns you at the one further south on the shore so it's easy to miss this one. Map coordinates -194:105 to be exact.

Never spoke to him this playthrough prior to meeting him as Shabriri at the mountaintops and I just defeated Eleonora at the church and his Nagakiba was there.

I've never completed his quest because I never noticed him after beating the ravenmount assassin. I always got the item on the bridge then fought the assassin, so there was never any point for me to go to that bridge again.

My first interaction with him, was when I had just started playing, accidentally fell off a cliff, and just as I was about to teleport to heal, he was summoned and killed me. How fun.

OK wow, I don't understand how so many people have not understood this - spoiler warning if you care but here's a bunch of important bits about Yura (lore-wise mostly):
- When you meet Yura early in his chain, he's a "normal" Tarnished with perfectly human eyes (just swivel camera to see under Bellhat, he's got shaggy grey hair and beard and unremarkable eyes).
- If you respond to the red summons on the Academy bridge and talk to him afterwards, he tells you about Eleonara. If you think back to his second place under the fallen ruin north of Murkwater, he tells you to "let not emotion stay your blade" when fighting the Bloody Fingers. This aligns with the idea that he has some kind of personal connection to Eleonara - he's speaking from personal experience.
- Eleonara KILLS HIM. When you get to the Second Church, hurry over to where he's bleeding out on the floor and listen (or read the dialogue on the wiki section lol), he states that he was "no match" for her. After his dialogue ends, he DIES of his wounds and becomes a lootable corpse and that's why you can take his sword lol. On this spot for the rest of the game is a large bloodstain.
- It seems folks who encounter him again after this point just assumed he was still alive all that time... he was not. Shabriri took over his dead body. It's only after Eleonara kills him that he has the burning eyes of Frenzy as the other poster noticed.

I just found out that it's possible to do the invasion at Raya Lucaria even after Yura is possessed. He doesn't stick around to chat after the fight though. Still, you can get all the rewards except the smithing stone.

I missed most of his quest in my first run and now that I've done it in full in ng+ and heard all his lines, I have to say his character has some of my favorite voice acting in the game, along with Varré. He doesn't have that many lines but man the ones he has are delivered with such raw emotion. The inflection is so genuine it really dug into my heart.

I helped him with the Raya Lucaria invasion and there was a grace that wasn't activated there, even though I had that one activated. I wonder if you can teleport to it if you do activate it? I didn't test it.

I noticed when I first met him that if I moved the camera down I could see his face, and that he already had the glowing eyes caused by frenzy. Is there some reason behind that? I think it has to do with why/how Shabriri possessed him. But I want to know more about how he got the eyes of frenzy, and if that has any significance or if it was just some visual bug?

This page should be updated with the following info:
1. In order Yura's NPC summoning sign appear near the stake of Marika, the player must initially die during a fight with the dragon AND respawn at a site of grace. If a player respawns at the stake of Marika, the summoning sign will not appear. Same true for Yura's monolog berating the player for trying to fight the dragon. To trigger this dialog, the player MUST respawn at a site of grace, not at the stake of Marika. Because this additional information was missing, it took me some time to figure out on my own. Not sure if this is intentional or just deficiency in the game mechanics.
2. Once Yura has been summoned to fight the dragon, he will disappear from his initial location under the overpass nearby. From that point, the player must kill the dragon in order to trigger Yura's reappearing at the "overpass" location. This remains true regardless of whether Yura is summoned again to continue fighting the dragon.

I've had a look through the comments but I can't see anyone mentioning it. So for anyone starting Elden Ring now or anyone just getting around to Margit and want to use the shackle, but are struggling with the npc invader the way I did, the Nerijius fight can be made a lot easier. Approach Murkwater cave from the Agheel lake end of the canyon, but take the time to kill all the skeleton enemies you'll see on the way, including those hanging from the bridge, you'll be fighting the npc invader quite close to where the skeletons are and they will agro and join in if you get close enough to them. I killed the giant mosquitoes as well to make sure they couldn't interfere either. Next equip a bow and walk towards Murkwater cave, stop moving forward when you see the message saying you are being invaded, when Nerijius spawns in and starts running towards you, try targeting him until you get a target lock. As soon as you do, shoot arrow after arrow as quickly as you can at him until he gets in range and one hits him. If you have the arrow's reach talisman or if you can hit him before he gets close enough to target lock by aiming manually all the better. As soon as you've hit him with an arrow, equip your weapon of choice and run back towards Agheel lake, you might need to practice it once to see the sweet spot of getting as close to Agheel lake as you can without Nerijius going back to his own world, but he may get to you before that can happen anyway. When he does catch up with you, for now concentrate on staying alive rather than fighting him. The point of doing all this is to be fighting Nerijius alone for the shortest amount of time possible. The timer for Yura to come and help you fight this npc apparently doesn't start until you land your first hit, so shooting Nerijius with an arrow before getting as close to Agheel lake as you can means Yura will get to you as quickly as possible. This npc invader is a lot easier to deal with, especially for low levelled characters, when Yura is there to help. As soon as Yura turns up, switch from concentrating on staying alive to killing Nerijius. I don't know if all this is obvious to everyone else, but it wasn't to me. I died more times fighting Nerijius trying to get access to Margit's shackle than I did to Margit himself, it feels like an intentional f-you from the developers.

I dont understand? I did everything up to the raya summon,killed raptor dude, was careful not to him yura. Tall to him there. Then he never showed up at the second church, nor does elenora.

This is false. I've reached the Mountaintops, killed Shabriri, and the Nagakiba is not in any of these 3 locations.
If you run away from the Nerijus invasion, you can find him leaning against the wall in the jellyfish tunnel. He'll have some unique dialog about how you ran away. You can reset the area and fight Nerijus as normal afterward.

I feel like a lot of people miss the subtext of his quest. The only person who's worse than someone who hunts down others by trade is someone who hunts others and has to tell themselves that it's righteous. If you speak to Yura after helping him with his target at Raya Lucaria, he's clearly already half-mad, rambling to himself about how these "wretched worms" should leave him alone. This ultimately leads him to confrontation with Elonora and his demise. When you find Yura, he's on the verge of death but still pleading for Elonora to stop being a Bloody Finger. Ironically, if you look at Eleonora's NPC model, she's missing the trident mark the other Bloody Fingers have. You also get the Crystal Tear you need to resist Mohg's curse from her. Her title, Violet Bloody Finger, might be another clue to her true nature. She's straddling the line between blue and red. Whereas she was making her own path, presumably seeking to subvert Mohg's plans, Yura abandoned himself to a fanatical hatred of Bloody Fingers that is, in a way, not so different from them. I don't think it's a coincidence that Shabriri chose him as vessel.

In case people dont finf the katana after kill shabiri on giant mountain, me after run all the locations, i found the katana on Raya lucaria main gate academy grace, on the bridge, behind some drebris. i dont see anyone talking about this location, lots of people dont find the katana. hope it helps.
What exactly should I do? I followed all his quest steps, got to the Altus Plateau, went to the Second Church, and immediately got invaded. I killed the invader and checked all around the church, and Yura was nowhere to be found. Does this mean he'll be in the Mountaintops of the Giants possessed by Shabriri? Or did I screw up somewhere along the questline?

It's VERY possible to finish this quest as a starting Bandit. You can aid yura with arrows or backstabbing nerijus after he shoots reduvia. After that go to dragonbarrow for greyoll and put everything to VIT, and you're set for everything else. Raven guy won't do much damage and Eleonora will never kill you from full health. I used the bandit's knife and reduvia both +1.

I accidentally killed Yura in the Second Church of Marika because from where I was I thought he was a Black Knife Assassin on the ground so I 1-tapped him and he just died and dropped the Nagakiba, but I wanted his set too ;-;

If you never see Yura in Limgrave or Liurnia he will show up at the Zamor Ruins grace in the giants area. Introduce himself as Shibiri and act like you recognise him (even though I'd never met him).
I went back to check his Limgrave spawn locations and found the Katana under the ruins in the river.
And the invader appeared at the Altus Plateau church as mentioned in the wiki.
Basically if you missed him. Go to the Zamor Ruins grace and then backtrack for the items.

I was doing all the npcs perfect until this guy at the second church in Altus. He’s injured and looked like an enemies and hit him once and he died. Tell you if your ocd like me this is the worst. I guess better luck next time as you can’t bring npc back from dead. So use caution ⛔️

I completely missed that this guy has a questline in my first run, gotta pay more attention in NG+ I guess. Didn't have the tear to help with Mohg - won the fight by basically chugging estus through his curse to stay alive.

If you do any of Yura's encounters make sure to talk to him after. After killing Nerijus you have to talk to him in the underpass north of Murkwater Cave site of grace. I spent a long time looking for him in all of the other spots mentioned here, and it was that one chunk of dialog that was stopping him from travelling elsewhere. Hope this helps someone finish his storyline.

It seems I'm stuck unable to get Yura's weapon skills, since he's gone now. No bell bearing either, which sucks.

I helped Yura at the Academy. Never met Shabiri. Was burnt by the three finger before ever going to the mountain top of the giants. I picked up the Ronin set not knowing anything. Looked Yura back up after Fire Giant to finish lose ends before burning the Erdtree. found his sword at the Second church in Altus Plateau then was invaded and got the Poleblade. I guess i'll see if I can get his summon sign to help with Godfrey when I get there.

I accidentally hit him at the second overpass whilst tabbing back into my game, I already tried using a celestial dew but he disappeared from under the overpass and I can't find his red summon sign in Raya Lucaria, any tips?

Never talked to him beyond the part where you get Reduvia, and Eleonora invaded me at the church, wonder if they hotfixed something. I've done his quest and skipped his quest on many characters this is the first time this has happened

Voice actor did an outstanding job, every emotion Yura displays is delivered perfectly. Coupled with the fact Yura is a total bro and comes at Nerijus like a badass makes for a superb npc. Shame we didn't get more of him.

I killed Bloody Yura because I wanted his sword. Should have finished his questline, oh well.

I found Shabriri at the Zamor Ruins, not really knowing who he was. But recent play sessions I've been trying to clean up some NPC quests. I never saw Yura the first time. But I saw him identified on my map in his first location when I checked today. But when I teleported to the Seaside Ruins his NPC map marker was gone. The item was there though (crazy that I didn't get this). Following this guide, I went to his 2nd and 3rd locations (also not there). But when I got to the Second Church of Marika on the Atlus Plateau I still got invaded by Bloody Finger Eleonora. So that was great. I was afraid that I missed the NPC quest and then missed that invader.

Didn’t know people thought she was hard till coming here. Sorcerer build has no problem with her, most NPC invaders roll when the spell is cast, not when it’s fired. So Moon spells and Phalanx spells almost always hit. And then for melee, Queen’s Black Flame 1-shot her at only 30 Dex / 20 Faith with a +10 Godslayer Greatsword. Just….don’t use a thrust weapon and she’s a joke in my experience, easier than most invaders.

Did the dragon and reported back to Yura, then after Morgott got Nerijus with no help. Met Shabriri on the Mountaintop and went to the guide to see what I missed. Found Nagakiba at location 2 (where I never met Yura), got invaded in the Second Church (which I did visit when I first got to Altus, with no invasion), found summon sign in Raya Lucaria (complete with a Yura invader). Somehow not a single unique item missed despite skipping the whole quest, but I have no idea what caused the sign to appear.

Apparently he just disappears once you go to Altus plateau. I collected the great runes from Godrick and Mohg and returned to Raya Lucaria after visiting Altus and his sign wasn't there. It's a bummer, Raptor of the mists is a really fun AoW.

I just reached the altus plateau and I can not find his summon sign by the main gate. I just finished rannis questline. Unsure
I just noticed that on one character, I killed Yura early for the Nagakiba. Can I still get the the Purifying Crystal Tear (the thing against Mogh's blood attack) later, respectively: will I still get invaded by Eleonora at the 2nd church of Marika?

His entire questline is still doable long after you've cleared the Academy or even after stepping foot on the Atlus Plateau. The cutoff point seems to be when entering the Mountaintop of Giants.
I had completely forgot about this dude after meeting him like the first day I played the game when he helped me with the invader in the river. A month later I went back to check and found him at the underpass just north of the cave, talking to me as though no time had passed at all. After that I warped up to the Academy entrance and his summon sign was still there (along with a Golden Seed I had missed) and I got the Arts of War from it. Then I warped over to the Church on Atlas and he gave the weapon to me there alongside the final invasion.

In my experience, I had to go to the Church of Dragon Communion (where I found the site of grace and got one dragon power) for the invocation sign to appear in Raya Lucaria. Before that, I did (2), then kill the dragon, then did a lot (up to unlocking the elevator to Altus Plateau). Maybe I just missed the invocation sign first, to be confirmed...

if you meet him intially during the invastion then go straight to zamor ruins he seems very out of it.
"Burn the erdtree to the ground and incinerate all that divides and distinguishes. may chaos take the world. MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD"
should be documented!
He says "Unless you are MAD, or wish to be BURNED ALIVE" in his first encounter... Feels like foreshadowing to me...
