I do wish they kept this as the starting class gear from the network test. Fell in love with this at 1st sight.

hoslow set if it went to community college instead of harvard

The quintessential tarnished set is locked behind a covenant that would oppose the very notion of an Elden Lord. Truer irony was never known.
- Anonymous
Once again heavily featured in the new Shadow of the Erdtree trailer proving this is the true John Elden Ring set.
- Anonymous
i think this and the briar set came from the same base/concept cus the chainmail and brown straps of the helm match the briar legs at least
- Anonymous
This is a good armor set and one of the easiest to mix and match with, the center piece of the set are the Armor and Helmet. The Gauntlets and Greaves can be replace by almost any equipment that is metal plated(knight gauntlets, greaves or so) to reach 51+ poise or so and would still look stylish because of it. A good candidate for the substitute for the gauntlets & greaves are the Scaled set pieces which you will get before this fight.

I feel like the helm shrinks my character’s head. Otherwise this is probably my favorite set
They really need to include a patch that creates a backdoor for drops like these if you end up failing their “quests”. Same goes for Raptors of the Mists if you kill Yura early, and the Hammer Talisman if you join the Volcano Manor before fighting Henricus.

For all the hoops you have to jump though to get this set...it's just not worth it.
It's beat out my Blaidd's and even the Scaled set!
THE SCALED SET! The one you get from the FIRST Manor hunt!

This offers solid defence for its weight so if your a lightroller and have high Endurance and also want some negation this might be your endgame armor if your staying at level 125-150.

The Robert DeNiro set of the Lands Between, truly fit for a legend.

Every single piece of this set is so versatile and looks good with a lot of other stuff. Even though I've never used the full thing together I absolutely love how many cool fashions it provides with good absorption too.

I mistook the raging wolf set as the kaiden armor set from afar :3
Wear the helm with blue silver mail set and wield a lightning axe, then search for your spear user friend who throwed you in a jail

why this set has only 41 poise. its like they punish us for drip. its not melenia its not elden beast, the 41 poise is the true punishment

Mom, can we get Artorias?
No, we have Artorias at home.

You must be kidding me...
The best looking armor cannot be obtained if you advance the game by going through the closest locations (linear progress) first.

I killed Bernahl and Rykard... now i need to wait for ng+ to get this armour
- Anonymous
Maaaaan I just want the Wolf Knight armor from DS3. It's the best looking chest piece in the entire souls series.
- Anonymous
A combo i liked for this chest piece was the blackflame chain hood, the drake armor legs and I forget the gloves but they may have been blackflame as well?

This and the pot hat are contenders for the most recognizable drip of this game
- Anonymous
The moral of the Volcano Manor questline is that drip requires sacrifice. If you want to look as swagged out as possible, you have to do some sketchy **** for some sketchy people.

**** me.... just killed rykard because the last invasion was far right and I started clearing everthing from left to right. now the only set I wanted is gone.
- Anonymous
The armor set looks ok, but if you combine the helmet with blaidds armor set, it looks great.
- Anonymous
I'm a simple man, fashion over defense and effectiveness any day.
- Anonymous
Honestly, although the game design with missing contracts is really annoying (Tanith could totally send you on the remaining missions after Rykard is dead) at least they gated the good armor (Scaled Set) after the first contract that remains open.
This set has an interesting look, but is slightly worse than any base soldier set. Whish there was sth interesting like high elemental resistance, less weight, Stamina bonus or sth
- Anonymous
god i wish this had better poise, but thats the sacrifice with fashion over function, huh?
- Anonymous
I personally never missed the quest but I can see how someone would. Maybe there should be an alternative way to obtain it, like having it on sale for a ton of runes after Malekith dies
Adding on to that comment below - Having been in the same situation: It depends. I'd had the quest available on the map after killing Rykard, but I went and took a break, closing the game, since I didn't know you could lose access to this encounter. Closing the game and then loading back in seems to remove the sigil. Weirdly, I still have the sigils on my map for the final mission from Tanith, as well as the one Patches gives you.
- Anonymous
To clarify a small point, you CAN get this set AFTER killing Rykard as long as Bernahl gave you the quest beforehand. The invasion sigil doesn't go away, and you're still awarded the armor after defeating those NPCs with Bernahl. I just got it this way two days ago. Had not advanced to ashen capital.

So to be clear, if you want the beast champions set, and not this armor, then kill Bernahl at the shack (not caring about sorceries) so you get it many hours earlier during a point of the game you are starved for interesting powerful looking armor sets, not like you get to ****ing wear both at the same time lol; all it offers is the way it looks, of course subjective but even then certainly not anything particularly outstanding, it is easy to understand why the Beast Champion stands out and draw interest, there is a reason the was worn by a starter class in the network test. Its almost like the rewards should be flipped.

I know im going to sound dumb but if i kill bernahl ,this armor is lost ?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
is it just me or do the highlights change color after a while (i think after taking some amount of damage, the design on the cape and some other parts seem to look more red)
- Anonymous
Black wolf mask and Banished Knight Helm (unaltered state) both look better with the armor than the actual helm imo

I killed rykard and now I can't find the summon sign. did I miss the set?

Raging Wolf character mini figure up for preorder on Bamco store, along with Melina

One of the few armor sets that actually look good. Looks interesting, cool while not too edgy and most importantly practical unlike some bs sets like bullgoat or lionel
- Anonymous
Raging Wolf Chest/Head + Scaled Greaves/Gauntlets nets you 41 poise while still matching.
- Anonymous
Lets lock one of the coolest sets in the game behind a questline where you need to join a group of serpent worshipping, murderers that kill innocent tarnished for fun!

Does anyone know where the picture from the Image Gallery came from? Is there a HD version anywhere?
- Anonymous
Yes i wear the signature armor in every fromsoft game, how could you tell? *gigachad*

If you're like me, the mane on the helmet generally won't be your cup of tea, but for this armor set I feel it's necessary. The back of the chestpiece is a bit too flat and static, so having that flowing mane at the back really helps the aesthetic of the set. Also, make your head 20-30 or so bigger than you usually would; helmet's a bit on the small side otherwise.
- Anonymous
if you want to feel more 'canon', this helmet, prelate gloves and the too big prelate pants, and blaidd's wolf armor fits well for a mix of fashion and high stats and poise. feels like an evolved raging wolf set
- Anonymous
if you want to use this to feel more 'canon', this helmet, the prelate gloves and pants for a combination of drip and higher poise and stats, although the pants are looking kinda thicc. and any silver armor with a cape, like blaidd's and its a wolf armor too lol. with this it looks like an evolved raging wolf set

"According to the old legends, wolves are the shadows of the Empyrean.
Vargram aspired to such a state himself." Hes using the Godslayer's Greatsword. Did he want to be the Gloam-Eyed Queen's shadow?

George elden ring. The famous protagonist of elden known for his famous quotes such as “every ring is elden” and “elden always has its ring”
- Anonymous
Managed to miss this set on two separate playthroughs. On the first because I didn't do the Manor questline for the sake of my roleplay, and on the second because I didn't know killing Rykard ended the contract with Bernahl. Oh well, next time. ;^;

Everything needs to be obtainable even after the main Story is complete.
Design your quest to be completed through at anytime.
I know its part of the story but simply beating Maliketh screws players out of Alot of Items and he's not even the final boss!
Absolute Bullsh*t.

tarnished canon armor feels good to use. elden lord having that drip

I want to be a shadow wolf bro. 2 minute miles and 10 foot verticals sounds fun.

I feel like this and elden lord set mix match would look good, gonna test later

I have all the NPC in Volcano Manor, did all their request but Bernahl didn't mention anything throughout the whole questline.
He has only talked about the shame for his family and nothing else, how do you even trigger this event?
- Anonymous
And I thought obtaining the Faraam set in DS2 was a pain. Considering this is suppose to be the flagship armor set for ER, it is kind of lame that you can miss this set esp in your first blind playthrough.

I have a feeling Vagram would be really important at one point, and its related to Miquella. Raging Wolf armor says he wants to be a wolf because Empyrean's shadows are all wolves, and he wants to be a Shadow. This shadowless Empyrean is likely to be Miquella, whose role in the main plot is almost entirely cut. It is implied Miquella is held in high regard by everyone in the game, so he's most likely the chosen successor of Marika. Miquella even made the Haligtree through his Empyrean powers (no influence from the Great Will, unlike the Erdtree). So as the heir, Miquella needs a loyal dog (his shadow). Malenia is a good guardian but she is too flawed and an equal to Miquella, she might not be as reliable as a loyal beast.

helm kinda reminds me of the cainhurst armor from bloodborne
- Anonymous
This set and likely the Bastard Sword is the "canon" MC setup
- Anonymous
Fire Prelate arms and legs go well with this set if you want some of that Elden Blind with higher defense/poise
- Anonymous
Love power stancing guts swords with the set. Feels appropriate.
- Anonymous
People be saying this is the basic b**** set. And yet, radahns set is the only one I see people wearing lmao.

- Anonymous
Lol. You have to interact with NPCs first before you unga bunga bosses. This is why it ends up badly for you.

If you think about it, the game has 3 seemingly "poster" armors:
-Knight Set appears on the tutorial infos
-Raging Wolf Set appears on the trailers
-Fingerprint Set appears on the cover art

OOPS, KILLED THE BOSS, GUESS I GOTTA WAIT TILL NG+ TO GET THIS SET! Thanks, Fromsoft!
- Anonymous
Don't ******* kill the Volcano Manor boss till you've completed all the assassination quests. I ******* did and the rest of those quests are locked and now I'll have to beg on /r/patchesemporium for it, or else start NG+...
- Anonymous
So is this what we're going with as the default look for the Tarnished? Since it was in so many of the promos. Like the Elite Knight set in Dark Souls.

WARNING! DO NOT ATTACK VOLCANO MANOR AS AN OUTSIDER OR KILL ANY BOSSES THERE.
You can VERY easily get this set right after beating Stormveil.
1. Go to the middle of Liurnias lake and find the lady in the gazebo. Do her quest, she'll thank you and tell you to meet her at the Grand Lift of Dectus.
2. You have three options
A. Get both medallion pieces and go up the lift. You can teleport to Caelid via Patches' chest.
B. Use the hidden path which involves a fight with a Wyrm and potentially another Dragon
C. Get eaten by an iron virgin and teleport to volcano Manor.
3. Join the Volcano Manor covenant. Talk to Bernahl. Exhaust his dialogue.
4. Buy the poison mist spell. You'll need it.
5. Do the invasions tanith tells you.
6. Talk to Bernahl after the second invasion he'll ask for your help.
7. Get to the Capital outskirts. Cheese the draconic tree Sentinel with poison mist (look it up on YT). You can use godricks great rune to hit the faith requirement if need be.
8. get into leyndell, run past everyone into the fortified major. Do the invasion. Let Bernahl do the work.
Done!

Honestly I think this set looks kinda lame. Blaidd, Fingerprint, Cleanrot, Bloodhound, Malekith, Black Knife, etc look way cool. Helm looks kinda depry tbh
- Anonymous
So the cover armor can only be gotten by invading some rando and you lose your shot at it if you kill certain bosses? Miyazaki really has outdone himself lmao, I'm actually speechless.

Damn it, I literally JUST killed Rykard before coming to this page. Guess I'm waiting for NG+ :/
i'm happy i didn't do what the stupid messages were telling me to kill bernhall

People going crazy for it, when this armor is one of the most dull looking, except for "trailer drip" if you care about it
