Talisman depicting a yellow ancient dragon.
Boosts lightning damage negation.
The ancient dragons, who ruled before the prehistoric era of the Erdtree, would protect their lord as a wall of living rock.
And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.

Where to find Boltdrake Talisman in Elden Ring
- Located at Stormveil Castle. [Map link]
- When you reach the main castle grounds where you fight the Lion Guardian, head inside the room with the armored statues, and through the arch doorway, to reach the Limgrave Tower Bridge Site of Grace. Specifically, you'll find the on a body that you can loot, just at the top of the first set of stairs, resting against a pillar on the left side.
- Boltdrake Talisman +1: This more-powerful variant of the Boltdrake Talisman can be found in a storage shed inside the Old Altus Tunnel dungeon. [Map link]
- Boltdrake Talisman +2: Found on a corpse hanging off an opening in a tall tower south of the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace. Reaching this area is a bit complex:
- You will first need to head southeast to the large plaza guarded by a stationary Farum Azula Dragon, which is constantly raining red lightning all around the area.
- From here, look northeast, then drop down a series of cliffs to the east to reach the opening at the bottom of a large building.
- Follow the linear path here to a balcony with a ladder leading up to a terrace. Mind the Banished Knights patrolling the area.
- Directly in front of the ladder is a lift building; to your left is a chest with the Dragon Towershield. Take the lift up to a series of slopes leading to a hallway underneath the same bridge you crossed to get to the southeast plaza.
- The passage ahead has a Crucible Knight fighting a couple of Beastmen. Fight your way through the hallway (or just run past the enemies) to reach a ladder at the end.
- Climb up the ladder to reach an open window where the corpse holding the talisman can be found.

There's an easier path to the +2 Boltdrake that avoids the Dragon and some of the enemies along the way.
Starting at Dragon Rooftop, jump down to the lightning area, kill the eagles along the way, easier to do this while under the balcony.
Then as you make your way Straight down the path, but do not turn left. Instead, carefully walk to the small outcrop (protrusion) at the end of the path. This is directly above the area where the Knight is fighting the Beastmen. Then drop down to the windowsill below by just walking off the outcrop.
Let the Knight fight the beastmen and you have time to use the ladder to go up.
To get the Shield, then just backtrack your way to the Knight and then the elevator.

"You only need to deal a small amount of damage before it leaves."
This is incorrect. This is a full on fight.

Got here with the help of the comments, but I think I can be a little clearer.
The closest grace is Dragon Rooftop. You can get here from the final boss of the area, taking the large path in the other direction and exploring there.
So, jump off Dragon Rooftop. Follow the Eagle Area south until you get to a large area where is or used to be a big Dragon. You can go East here, away from the beastmen playing dead. Drop down some ledges to get to a building. Fight your way through and go up the ladder. There's a chest here with a greatshield. Take the lift up and go right to find a Crucible Knight fighting beastmen. Knight doesn't drop anything. Past him is a ladder. Climb it and you've found the Boltdrake +2.

From the Dragon Temple Rooftop site of grace, proceed past the eagles as you would normally, crossing the bridge to the circular zone where you fought the stationary Dragon. Along the cliff edge to the left, facing east, there will be an assortment of cliff ledges that lead downwards into the building below. Proceed past the Banished Knights up a lift. You will now be on the underside of the bridge that you took to get to the Dragon. On the opposite side there will be a Crucible Knight fighting the hostile mobs, make your way past the Knight and up a ladder, the Talisman will be at the top under a sitting Eagle.

The +2 is a ***** to find. In Crumbling Farum Azula teleport to the "Dragon Temple Rooftop" site of grace and follow the "standard" path. You drop down twice and have to run across a broken bridge to reach the dragon normally. instead of going to where the dragon is we run across the broken bridge and jump into the lower part of the bridge through one of the windows. There you will find a crucible knight (sword +fire breath variant) fighting a bunch of enemies. You can ignore them to go up the ladder and the body with the talisman will be halfway hanging out of the window. There is an eagle on top of it. You can see this body if you take the "standard" path and keep an eye to your right (and up).
Found the +2 variant in Crumbling Farum Azula. After beating the stationary dragon that shoots red lightning all over the terrain, I turned left and jumped down to a large tower, fought my way through it and at the end was the talisman on a corpse with an eagle sitting on it.
