Bone Ballista Bolt is a Greatbolt in Elden Ring. Bone Ballista Bolt is used primarily with the Hand Ballista. Ammunition can be used in ranged weapons such as Bows and Crossbows, so players can deal ranged damage to Enemies and Bosses.
Greatbolt as large as a spear carved from stout animal bones. Craftable item.
Though the tip is certainly sharp, it does not fly particularly true.
Where to Find Elden Bone Ballista Bolt
Bone Ballista Bolt can be found at the following location:
- The Recipe for Bone Ballista Bolts, Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [13], can be purchased from the Nomadic Merchant north of Bellum Church.
Elden Ring Bone Ballista Bolt Notes & Tips
While it does only 10 less damage than standard Ballista Bolts, the bolt drops much quicker resulting in it being harder to use at longer ranges. Testing needed to determine whether damage falloff from distance is also quicker.
Hefty Beast Bones can be bought infinitely after defeating the Bell Bearing Hunter at Warmaster's Shack, allowing one to cheaply get infinite Greatbolts early in the game.
Since the bolts are craftable at a 5 to 1 ratio of bolts to bones, carrying 99 Hefty Beast Bones allows one to far surpass the normal 20 carry limit on Greatbolts by crafting new ones without resting at a grace.
How to Craft Elden Ring Bone Ballista Bolt
To craft Bone Ballista Bolt you would need the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [13] as well as the following Crafting Materials:
- Hefty Beast Bone x1 = Bone Ballista Bolt x5

Is there anything better craft than this? Like idk a fletched version, even though I think bolts in this game are not like that.

Is this the only craftable "Greatbolt"/ballista type of ammunition? It's the only one I've seen, but it feels very limited as-is.

You find the cookbook from the merchant on North of Bellum Church, Liurna of the Lakes...

the merchant that sells the recipe is actually down the road from Bellum Church!
50 runes per bolt (250 per bone, 5 bolts per bone), much better than any other option
