Briar Armor is a Chest Armor in Elden Ring. Briar Armor is part of the Briar Set, and is a Battered iron armor from a foreign land. Worn by Elemer of the Briar. This armor piece is covered in rusted iron briars which are a mark of the guilty. Briar Armor is an armor piece worn over or around the player's torso to obtain an increase of defense and resistance. It also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Battered iron armor from a foreign land.
Worn by Elemer of the Briar.
The winding, rusted iron briars are a mark of the guilty and typically indicate a sentence of death. They also cause this armor to deal damage when performing dodge rolls.
Elemer murdered numerous instructors and merchants, and was known as the Bell Bearing Hunter.

Ngl the set is sick. And you gotta combo it with the thorn sorcery build. With the thorn armor, your rolls will hit for 130. The Bloodhound and quick step also apply it when used. get some cc and start blastin

Can the damage from rolling be used to keep boss's poise gauge value from regenerating ?

Fun fact: Briar Armor (but not the boots) causes your jumps to no longer break objects like chairs and barrels.
Useful to reach or place messages on top of breakable objects

I get summoned a lot and I've found having at least one piece of this equipped helps keep the boss aggro on me instead of the host thanks to the little bit of damage in between dodges. definitely worth having for all sunbros

If you go behind him you can bait out a shield slam which is very easy punish. When he slams roll behind to bait another. Best strategy as far as I’m concerned. Also do not go too far to heal, wait for his double-swing-thrust close range combo then heal. YOU WILL GET SHREDDED OUTSIDE CLOSE RANGE. Don’t get battered like I did.

Apparently spurned by the maidens he'd served over the years, Kirk has turned to merchant murder, stress-eating and sleeping in blackberry bushes

Looks incredible with the banished knight’s helm w/hood. Even better with the cape removed imo.

this armour looks so good, but god the poise is bad. just 32 poise and even with the bull-goat talisman you only get 43, which isnt enough to not get staggered from most attacks. the fingerprint set, which ways alot less than this one gives 40 poise normally, and 53 with the talisman. you cant even mix and match very much since this looks really unique.

last night was my first attempt at one of the bell bearing hunter fights, it was the first and presumably weakest variation at warmaster's shack in stormhill. he killed me six or seven times quickly and easily before I got lucky and managed to beat him, judgement or skill played no part in it, and that was out in the open with plenty of room to dodge or get some distance between us to use a flask or throw a cracked pot. I'm confident I can get to the boss variant in shaded castle. But now I've had a taste of what this boss is all about, I seriously doubt I can kill him in the relatively small area of a boss room.

Only deals 1-2 damage per piece equipped, but it looks awesome. Color scheme goes great with red and gold weapons... currently wearing with brass shield and blasphemous blade.

The best when you fight against skeletons... well any piece works for you, you put on the gloves or any other and when they are on the ground reviving.... Wheels!!

wearing only 1 piece seems to do 1 damage but staggers most armorless enemies regardless

I've noticed I gain a buff whenever using any of the pieces from the set however I have yet to figure out what the buff does, anyone have any insight?

Armor seems to cause damage when rolling into enemies similar to the old thorn armor.

I defeated him but the armor isn’t sold by the twin maidens in the hold.
