Elden Ring Cannon of Haima Guide
- Glintstone Sorcery
- Stamina Cost: 42
- Deals (Sorcery Scaling x 2.7) magic damage before resistances.
- Can be charged for additional damage.
- When charged, deals (Sorcery Scaling x 3.12) magic damage.
- Benefits from Godfrey Icon
- Hits enemies through walls and ceilings (on top of having a large AoE), ideal for situations where an enemy is either unreachable or if a preemptive strike is required to soften up targets before approaching, or to ambush targets coming around corners.
- Upon hitting normal-sized enemies, it knocks them down, potentially useful in both PvE and Invasions, where the blast can knock targets off of cliffs for an instant kill.
- Note: This Spell was changed with Patch 1.07 as follows:
- FP cost was reduced from 45 to 38.
- Damage was increased slightly, as well as stamina damage against guarding enemies.

am I the only one who yells "KOBE!" every time one of these takes out someone in FFA?

Haima was not wrong. Destroying all the conflict participants in one hit definitely quells conflicts...

when people are hiding behind pillars in colosseum, this is pretty much a guaranteed hit as long as you can free aim. I've killed several people this way.

Someone really needs to update these descriptions, now deals x 2.85 sorcery scaling uncharged and x 3.32 charged.

I wish Cannon of Haima did the same damage as Giantflame Take Thee since it's slower to cast and there is no staff to boost haima sorceries.

This spell combined with Lusat Glinstone Staff, Godfrey Icon, Graven Talismans, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Terra Magica is a one-shot nuke 3vs3, ez guaranteed win

This is basically the magic version of giantsflame take thee, and is a pretty solid and very fun spell to use overall. It has a few pros and cons to giantsflame take thee:
Pros:
- Acquired much, much earlier
- Seriously huge aoe, definitely bigger than giantsflame take thee
- Faster projectile speed making it harder to dodge
- Only one memory slot
Cons:
- Magic is imo a inferior damage type to fire (lots of fire weak enemies in the game)
- Much longer cast time, like seriously its so slow
- Worse range overall due to the sharp vertical arc of the projectile
- Lower comedic value due to wimpy sound effect

The haima glintstone crown also boosts the cannon of haima a small amount... not sure about the numbers

Easily dodged at range, but if someone is dumb enough to try and rush you while you charge it the explosion can go off at point blank range and insta-kill.

the spell looks and feels like throwing a giant bowling ball

Nothing beats being chased by 3 enemy players in the arena, only for your allies to erase them from behind with this.
Big laughs

The humming sound when it gets charged up is damn satisfying

Terra Magica + Determination + Godfrey Icon + Magic Shrouding Cracked Tear + Cannon of Haima = those little Albinauric dudes by Moghwyn palace flying all over the place.
Eat a Gold Pickled Fowl Foot, and really rake in the runes.

Malenia didn't ask me to prepare my dignity, I didn't ask her if she likes being nuked

can this be incorporated in a dedicated moonveil/magic godskin stitcher invasion build? on a level 80? or lower? if not, what orher spells can you guys suggest. i liked using moonveil in one of my playthroughs but exclusively used it on pve only

on PVP it's really good for free aiming, the cast can be soft combed with other slower spells like Magic Glinblade, if it lands it will cause a knock back, good for recovering FP since you can't cause damage to a player that's on the ground, if you charge it with Godfrey Icon Talisman it's very possible to get a hitkill on level 125
- Anonymous
Great spell, incredibly fun spell, please reduce the FP cost. You can roll through the whole explosion, there's no need for it to cost 45 FP still.

Ah, I always wanted to launch a Halo Wraith plasma mortar out of a magic staff.

You know what is stronger? the fully charge attack of dark moon greatsword (mine is +6 at 60 int and it already surpasses it)

This spell knocks Malenia to the ground on a single cast (not a poise break), allowing you to cast something else while she tanks the floor.
Do what you will with this info

This spell will not get affected by eternal darkness. So, use this spell against people when they cast the eternal darkness spell from afar. And also it’s a decent roll catch as well, the longer you hold it the bigger the AOE and damage it will do.

A good combo is to cast Carian Phalanx while facing away from your opponent (and not locked on), then start casting this. Lock on to your opponent. While charging Cannon, you will not turn around until you are about to release it. This will cause the Phalanx to fire off simultaneously with the Cannon and can even stagger your opponent, setting up some big damage when the Cannon lands.

Great for invasions where the host keeps hiding behind something, since the splash damage will hit them.
- Anonymous
Force host into cover by spamming darts, then free aim a fully charged cannon over the cover, perfection
- Anonymous
Great for killing rune farmers on top of buildings in Liurnia gatetown, free aim at one of the long sides as high as you can go and 1-2 hits should kill, most are afk so they wont try and dodge

For any INT players in the Triple Crystalian fight, this is a good spell to bring. The best poise breakers seem to be Gavil of Haima, then Cannon of Haima, then Greatsword Phalanx in that order. Gavil breaks the fastest but requires melee range very FP efficient though, Cannon takes a few hits but can be cast from a distance AND stuns/knocksdown Crystalians BEFORE POISE BREAK, GSP is OK but it can miss the jumping Spear Crystalian.

Satisfying to use against the Pests in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel before they even aggro. Honestly it is satisfying just pulling on big groups
- Anonymous
I give it about 20 minutes before somebody makes a build that maximizes the damage of this spell without investing into mind at all so they can only cast it once. Just for the meme. Maybe throw on lusat's staff so that you can consume more fp
- Anonymous
Azur's Glintstone crown will not work in tandem with the emote to break the seal.
- Anonymous
fun to use and decently effective in groups. who cares that it isn't optimal mp efficiency blah blah blah? you don't really need that. can't remember the last time i ended exploration without mp to spare.

I like that the whole Haima series is just a big question of "DO YOU STAGGER?"
Godsent spells for Malenia, and the cannon is just a Fat Boy compiled into a small annihilation bubble

Phenomenal invasion/hunting sorcery. The radius, knock down, and damage is just tops. Super fun to free aim and lob it into an enemy pack.

mages got tired of magic missile and decided to opt for magic 13th century cannon

An interesting thing about this spell is your stamina still regenerates slowly during the initial cast animation so you can stunlock enemies easily who get knocked down by this spell.
- Anonymous
I tried to use the full moon sorceries, and I like them, but this just feels so much better than both of them in almost every way. I hope I'm missing something.

this spell is straight up terrorism. invade with this in haligtree
I ONE SHOT a troublesome tanky Invader using this with Godfrey Icon fully charged + Magic Scorpion + Ritual Sword + Terra Magicus + 80 INT Regal Staff +9 = insane spell for insane damage and huge blast radius that's incredibly hard to dodge !!
Invaders get erased.
Mobs get massacred.
Bosses gets obliterated knocked down or staggered.
ONE OF MY MUST HAVE FAVORITE GOOD TO SPELLS IN THE GAME!
This is the powerful Glintstone Wizard Style Fireball I've always wanted!

This spell is amazing for grouped mobs. The AOE is huge specially when charged, to the point that it can nuke entire groups and with it costing 45 fp you want to charge it more often than not. Now, it's hella slow and it's best to use it on unaware mobs and clean up the rest with something else should someone survive. So, an ambush spell.
It can be used against some bosses even since it also staggers plenty, be careful about the speed though, it's risky. Be aware however that it's lock on is... wonky, and sometimes the spell may miss the target. Given the AOE size, aiming manually isn't difficult and may even be desirable.
The damage is high, but not top tier. Again many standard mobs will be almost dead or get one shotted.
While not mandatory, it's definitely useful if you lack multi target spells

Despite the high FP cost, it's a great spell for clearing up mob groups as it hits like a freight train if you charge it. Best used on groups that haven't noticed you so you have enough time to charge. The AOE is massive and it'll catch lots of enemies. It's not hard to obliterate entire groups with this. As a side note, the projectile can actually go past the enemy depending on terrain when locked on so learn how to aim it manually, trust me I missed many times because of it.
It's also good against certain bosses since it causes a ton of stagger but be careful as it's as slow as it hits hard. Risky but can be worth it depending on the boss.
A good spell overall but not a must have. It has served me well in many situations

Knocks Malenia into the ground. Abuse accordingly, with phantoms.
- Anonymous
This spell is actually pretty great. Try to manually aim it instead of locking on. Don't worry, it's got a massive explosion hitbox. You can clear groups no problem with this and it can be hard to dodge due to it's arc trajectory making it difficult to judge when exactly it will blow up.

Great spell to stop ganks and blow people off ledge. Charge time very long but worth. 9/10
- Anonymous
This spell is hilarious for ganking invaders. However do not use this as an invader if you have a co-invader trying to melee the host and his buddy. You will blow up your co-invader and upset him greatly.
Doesn't do /that/ great of damage anyways, the greatarrow spell is sorta just this but better.

In case of snow men enemies on the Heiligtree branches: Use this and see them fly.

Semi-long cast time, short/medium range, large mana cost, terrible accuracy and no tracking....
I absolutely love this spell, it's amazing at what it does. Great damage, best AOE size, hits through walls, and can kill entire groups easily, and stagger the rest. It's better when you practice with manual aiming and can hit middle of the group. No rocket jump though.
- Anonymous
expensive and weak, i'd rather use the greatsword spell or glintstone arc on packed enemies. it's great for invasions though, since it can be free aimed and the explosion is massive

Really pretty…it’s sad that the damage is so low when compared to literally anything. The casting time is so long that you can deal the same amount of damage faster while losing less FP with a LOT of other spells

Before I got this spell I was considerring respeccing to a pure physical build... Then I got this spell, tested it out fully charged, and it's a godsend for enemies tightly packed together.

fully charged up has a pretty big aoe. My favourite spell so far to clear packs of enemies.
It's here! It's finally here!
