Coastal cave is the best location for just Cave Moss. At 109 discovery, I'm getting an average of 7 cave moss per sun, with each run only taking one minute to complete running past much weaker enemies.
The crystal cave also has Budding and Crystal cave moss to loot, but takes significantly longer. Worth it if you need all three types, but otherwise stick to the coastal cave.
