Eliminates all FP consumption in mixed physick
|
Cerulean Hidden Tear is a Crystal Tear in Elden Ring. Crystal Tears can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to determine its effect.
A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.
Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction removes all FP consumption.
However, this effect is only brief and will quickly expire.

Cerulean Hidden Tear Notes & Tips
- FP is not consumed by any actions that normally consume FP for 15 seconds.
- You can perform actions that would normally consume more FP than your max (e.g. summoning expensive Spirit Ashes that you cannot afford normally).
- Weapon skills and spells that only consume FP, such as Comet Azur, Crystal Torrent, Meteorite, Meteorite of Astel, Prelate's Charge, Rock Blaster, Spinning Wheel, Surge, O Flame! and Unendurable Frenzy, can be used continuously.
- Has no effect on Tongues of Fire, the weapon skill still consumes FP even when the tear is used.
- You can find Crystal Tears at the bases of Minor Erdtrees and elsewhere throughout the Lands Between.
- At sites of grace, you can mix two Crystal Tears in the Flask of Wondrous Physick. (This will allow you to create elixirs with various custom effects.)

another glitch. if your FP is completely depleted, you can't use weapon arts using this tear. spells still work, though. tested it with moonveil, glinstone kris, and the scepter of all-knowing. the skill name on the left side of the screen stops being grayed out, but the skills don't actually work.

This plus bloodflame blade on anything that has prelates charge is op

Also known as the Kamehameha Enabler, for anyone with Comet Azur. With roughly the same results.
- Anonymous
This is good for low mind builds that want to use high fp summons like tiche and finlay without leveling up mind or wasting a estus flask on mimic tear.
- Anonymous
This is dumb, why not just make this give you an X amount of free FP to spend relative to your current FP. With no time limit, this would make it more useful for cheap spells and less useful the more expensive the spell. Now this tear is just pigfeed for boss cheesers

Glad to see this got restored. Seemed almost useless after patch 1.04.
- Anonymous
No idea why people in the comments say like the change was intentional. Also not sure why the wiki page change the text were it said the 7 seconds part was unintentional change. The patch notes for 1.04 clearly stated it was unintentional change that was going to be reverter in an upcoming update. And now their update said 1.04 it was reverted.
Went to test it and it does in fact lasts 15 seconds again.

Didnt they changed this literally 21 hours ago back to 15 seconds?

As of patch 1.07 just released today, Cerulean Hidden Tear has now been fixed and is back to its 15 sec duration. As a pure sorcery build I'm happy. XD
- Anonymous
Patched back to 15 secs in latest patch.
Make Cerulean Hidden Tear great again fellow tarnished
- Anonymous
They fixed the accidental nerf today. Its probably back to its old duration
- Anonymous
Apparently it was bugged and now it's back to how it was before
- Anonymous
It's back to normal thank God my int co op build is back to full strength...
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I wish this also affected Ashes of War. I would love to have infinite flames with my Visage Shield lol
- Anonymous
Is it normal that it doesnt reduce the cost of Ashes of War?
- Anonymous
become rock shower with meteorite of astel. scream POWAAAAAAAAAAAAA for more effect :D
- Anonymous
A nice reword would be for the timer to start when your fp is first used as opposed to when the flask is drunk. Then 7-10 seconds might be a good balance

Unpopular opinion, I know, but the game was much more fun before patch 1.04.
- Anonymous
I got the tear for my sorcerer build JUST AS the patch nerfed it by accident lol.
That said I've never felt super pressed on FP by around 35 Mind and 6 blue flasks, but maybe that's just because I never used it prior to the patch and I don't really like using Azur's comet because it's too slow and requires more precise openings.
- Anonymous
bring it to 20 seconds and make it reduce fp costs by 33% instead of 100% reduction for 15 seconds.
- Anonymous
7 seconds in PvP is fine, but I hope they put it back up to 15 for PvE. One guy with comet azur shouldn't ruin it for everyone else.
- Anonymous
I think they should keep the duration at 10 seconds. That seems like a good middle ground between the new duration and the old one
- Anonymous
on my fourth playthrough I decided to be a mage and see how it feels to nuke a boss with this... I drink the flask, animation of drinking takes about 1 second, I start channeling meteorites or any long channeling spell, after one second mana already starts being consumed. Basically this is useless now and can be removed from the game after the patch unless they actually revert it
- Anonymous
does anything else in the game give the dark blue effect around the player? I like this effect a lot more than the turquoise of the magic boosting and intelligence boosting tears...

Accidental nerf absolutely ruins this item. Cant even get more than one spell in before it ends, and thats if you have everything else ready. If you have to swap weapons, or use a spell with a long charge time you get nothing. Glad its only temporary.
- Anonymous
Should it be nerfed? A bit, perhaps. A more than 50% reduction? That was definitely way too much of a nerf. Literally get about 2 seconds of Comet cast time with that kind of nerf, leaves it essentially useless. Make it more like a 10 or 11 second duration, that way the duration isn't wasted on the cast animation and can actually do some work.
- Anonymous
No, we don't need this reverted, thanks for the offer though.

Duration reduction to around 7 seconds in patch 1.04 was unintentional and should be reverted.
Quote from patch notes:
"Please note: This patch mistakenly included an update to the duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear, shortening it. This unintentional change will be reverted with a minor patch in the near future. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused."
- Anonymous
Unironically like it at 7-8 seconds with the new patch. It feels more fair. You can use the window to buff up big or fire off 1-2 fat spells. Certainly beats 15 seconds of Stars of Ruin spamming.
- Anonymous
Duration reduction in 1.04 confirmed to be a bug and will be fixed in future patch.

Significantly reduced the length of the effect in patch 1.04. Bummer….

Urg, it has been reduced to 6-7 seconds after the new patch....I was wondering why my duration was cut short significantly while fighting radagon....

Bamco has confirmed the nerf to duration for this tear was unintended, here's hoping they push the hotfix sooner rather than later.
- Anonymous
Was unintentionally nerfed in 1.04 (duration was halved) and will be fixed with a minor patch in the near future according to the official Elden Ring Twitter.
- Anonymous
"unintentionally" nerfed, meaning they actually wanted to nerf it but then backed down but forgot to increase it back to 15 secs

It was fun while it lasted. Stick it in the pile of useless garbage now.

The nerf was not intended. https://twitter.com/fromsoftware_pr/status/1516383336339423237?s=21&t=re1hK0vV9WMfrf-4lXkFGQ

Was mentioned by the official Twitter account for Elden Ring that the halved duration was an unintentional change and will be changed back to 15 seconds in the next patch. I'd link to the post but that seems to be against this site's rules? as my comment didn't pass moderation.

cerulean hidden tear + azur comet boss cheese (very temporarily) btfo

The duration was halved (7.5 ish now) in the latest patch even though it's not in the patch notes. Perhaps unintentional like Radahn nerf?
- Anonymous
Broken but broken can be fun, and cheese Azur Comet in PvP is useless so if people want to obliterate bosses with a nuke let them have fun. It's balanced enough to not affect PvP.
- Anonymous
I know this is obviously an incredibly powerful tear that everyone is using. But in case anyone running low mind didn't know, this also allows you summon ANY spirit ashes regardless of FP cost. Meaning at 60 max FP you can still summon the most powerful and broken spirits like Tiche, Lhutel the Headless, Omenkiller Rollo, and the Banished Knights, which all cost 100+ FP to cast normally. I know there a lot of powerful crystal tears for melee builds, but trust me, none of them are equivalent to having Tiche on your side, I used this exclusively for the Malenia because she can burn in hell. Though I am thinking of using this for my new bleed build to get Omenkiller Rollo without a bunch of points into mind.

what does this thing eve exist? sorceries are already dumb. but yeah let's give sorceries ways to one shot endgame bosses lol.

please nerf
change to 50% FP consumption (but for a longer period of time)

Amazing for pretty much every build. Infinite dragon breath spam for fth/arc, infinite degenerate bleed spam for dex, infinite spam for int, and infinite lightning for fth

It is very useful for getting around Winged Scythe's Ashes of War in PvP. They both last the same duration and it prevents what could potentially be a 15-second silence on casters.

Would be helpful if it lasted more than .5 milli seconds.

Potentially the best of the tears to put in your physick in my opinion. I like to pair it with the opaline bubbletear that negates physical damage. Allows you to really spam your FP away recklessly and if you get hit doing it, the opaline bubble will prevent any consequence coming from it.
- Anonymous
Pair this with Maliketh's Blade Blade WA, and you have a nice piece of boss-melting bullshittery on your hands. Enjoy, fellow Tarnished.

The location they are talking about is the seethewater cave next to volcano manor but the cerulean hidden tear and the leaden hard tear are not here. The cerulean crystal tear is here and another one I can't remember. The cerulean hidden tear is possibly in the giants mountaintop catacombs
- Anonymous
This negates the FP cost of Spirit ashes, tested with skeletal bandit, can be used to bypass FP cost if you do not have enough FP to summon said spirit ash.
- Anonymous
Combine this with Comet Azur and you can fire it for like 15 seconds straight.
- Anonymous
I have been all around this tree but i have no idea how to get there

Fantastic for buffing up and/or summoning high-cost spirits right before a big fight.

As previously mentioned, effect lasts 15 seconds not 10. Also just great opener, cast summon and any chain-cast/held spell and have all your FP left? Yes please.
- Anonymous
Oh so this is basically a FREE use any incantation/draconic/spell/art you want, kewlll had it like for a long time now and never bothered to use it lmao
- Anonymous
this is actually super good, even if you have only 60 max fp you can use any spirit with this, no matter the cost
- Anonymous
This will also let any class use high FP cost spirit ashes, such as Lhutel

Disappointing that this has no real use with Unendurable Frenzy, as your meter builds up far too quickly to gain any real use out of this, unless there is a tear which allows the user to negate/reduce Madness buildup for some time. Aside from that though, this Crystal Tear is absolutely bonkers.

For PvE the combo to destroy most bosses is Flask = Magic Shrouding Tear + Cerulean Hidden Tear - Casting Order -> Terra Magicus -> Comet Azur = Omega Levels of Damage. Cast combo with Stone Digger Staff to enhance the Sorcery of bot TM and CA as they are both StoneDigger Sorceries which will take it to it's maximum potential.

THIS IS UNREAL. ESPECIALLY IN PVP YOU CAN SPAM WEAPON ARTS LIKE NO PROBLEM OMFG...
