if anyones wondering if you are a female you get leather gloves and if you're male you get the chain gauntlets. if you change your gender at rennala the gauntlets in your inventory will magically switch to the other genders gauntlets, so its impossible to have chain gauntlets on a female character and leather on a male character.

Seems to be a gendered thing. Male characters get "Chain Gauntlets" while female characters get "Gauntlets" which are long leather gloves.

So for some reason these are now just called "Gauntlets" and their description is "Gauntlets worn by ordinary soldiers. Though plain in appearance, they offer dependable protection." Don't know why this happened but they seemingly changed with the most recent patch?

I can't find these? Kale has "Gauntlets", no "Chain Gauntlets", different picture and description is missing the "Gauntlets made of woven chain" part too. Same stats though.
