Cleanrot Greaves is a Leg Armor in Elden Ring. Cleanrot Greaves is part of the Cleanrot Set Armor Set, and it was leg armor worn by Malenia's vowed knights. Cleanrot Greaves protect both of the player's legs and feet by applying various defensive properties. They also change the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Greaves of the Cleanrot Knights, celebrated for their undefeated campaign in the Shattering.
The Cleanrot Knights vowed to fight alongside Malenia, despite the inevitable, if gradual, putrefaction of their flesh. Their acceptance of their fate made these battles fiercest of all.

it didnt take me hours, but i killed atleast 50 before the greaves dropped.
Why are these so heavy? For the amount of Poise and negation these offer on top of their visual design, they'd ideally weigh somewhere around 7.9 weight, if you compare them to the Mausoleum Knight Greaves and Blaidd's Greaves. Either that, or these need to offer much more Poise and defenses across the board, similar to the Malformed Dragon Greaves, which has 3 more poise than these and better defenses across the board for only 0.6 more weight.

can also be farmed outside Commander O'Neil's area, there are like 5 knights there

I must confirm this too. The drop rate for these is HORRIBLE I was farming them for 1,5 hour.

I have no idea why or if this is just bad luck, but the drop rate of the greaves seems to be severely lower compared to the rest of the armor set. I had this same issue farming the banished knight at the dragon cathedral. It took me 300+ kills for both of these sets.

I have been farming the cleanrot knights around Inner Aeonia for 20 in game hours. I have gotten a dozen or more of every weapon and armor other than the greaves and no greaves. I don't know what the logic was here but the drop rate is abysmal.

There are cleanrot knights in the shaded castle to the north also.

Like the other users, took me about 2 hours to get the greaves, only for it to cause a graphical glitch and make the game visually unplayable T_T

Idk why but the drop rate for the boots is waaaaaaay lower than the rest. I have five helms, three chests, four gauntlets, two swords, a spear, and yet i have no boots

I had the same experience. I farmed for a couple of hours and no greaves. Got everything else. Glad I did because I decided to use the Halo Scythe and it is freakin op as hell. This has a look to it that is very unique. The cape coming down from the helm is one of a kind.
Farmed this set for about two hours today - got 6 chests, 4 gloves, 4 hats, 2 scythes, a spear, 3 swords - and no boots. Kinda makes sense, they'd be in the worst condition...
I'm currently using the tree sentinel greaves. Hoping no one notices x.x
