Cleanrot Knight's Sword is the longest Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring despite appearing shorter than the Estoc. Cleanrot Knight's Sword scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity, but in the long run scales higher with Strength rather than Dexterity. Overall, it is a good Weapon for those who want to wield it.

Drops from most Lesser Cleanrot Knights.
The single Cleanrot Knight outside the Prayer Room Site of Grace in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree is a convenient location for farming. [Map link]
For a farming spot much earlier in the game, starting at the Inner Aeonia Site of Grace, head South through the roots and there will be a Cleanrot Knight amidst several Aoenian Butterflies

Cleanrot Knight's Sword can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones.
Despite its similar size and shape, it does not share the slashing moves of the Estoc.
- Additionally, despite being visually shorter than the Estoc, it is substantially longer than the Estoc
As its description might suggest, its quick pokes and length make it a great choice in the offhand alongside other weapons.

Base drop rate is 4% (at 100 Discovery).
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed of Thrusting Swords' crouching attacks has been reduced. Poise damage has also been reduced, but only for PVP.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.

  Rename it Brain Rot Knight Sword, have it poise break in 1 even at max poise., increase mv x1.5 and have it come out a frame faster. With HA on the first frame. Change the scaling to S strength. Just needs. A little help

  What it really should have been is a somber with a unique skill, maybe a block/parry thing that can be used in the left hand while you mainhand something else. That way it wouldn't make all the other thrusting swords obsolete by account of its superior damage and range. Not that quickstep Estoc would be balanced either but it would have been a start...

  Thrusting Swords must have some sort of guardian angel at Fromsoft. Almost every other meta set up has been nerfed over time (crouch poke, serpent hunter, PSS, PSGS, PSSS) but 2H Cleanrot remains the best dueling set up in the game (along with Pata, maybe thrusting shield). In fact the poise damage offhand thrusting sword got buffed last patch, you need 105 poise to tank it now as opposed to the previous 89.
  
  Personally I would rather just completely nuke quickstep/bhs than nuke the thrusting swords, which would solve the biggest problem with them.

  Loving this rapier in my str faith build. Found it while farming for cleanrot armor in the swamp of aeonia. I infuse it with electric armament and heavy affinity. Fast, mobile and hits hard. Very good against invaders and mobs that move around too much. Clean weapon for sure

  Contender for one of the best dueling weapons in the game, Make it Heavy with 54 Strength, two-hand it with the Two-Handed Sword Talisman, put Quickstep on it and use the Retaliatory Crossed-Tree, equip the Spear Talisman and space attacks to go for a lot of Counter Hits, slap on some Drawstring Dragonbolt/Rot/Poison Grease for extra damage and/or status pressure, buff yourself with Uplifting Aromatic and eat Exalted Flesh for even more damage. Dump the rest of your points into Vigor and Endurance for wearing super heavy armor, use consumables like Poisonbone Darts and Freezing Pots to apply status pressure, Roped Fire Pots are a surprise tool that can help us later, you get the idea.

  I was hoping you could power stance these with their spears for authentic cosplay, but turns out you can't do that... And it only makes sense as an off-hand since you don't want to miss out on Spear's badass R2, which is exactly opposite of how they hold it. And the spear can't even be used as a shield or anything, despite having a little guard thing on it...

  I completely understand commenting on this weapon's balance (because I will admit, it's pretty ****ing scarce) but I think the thrusting sword class has a lot of other strong picks. The Antspur, Rapier, Estoc, and even Rogier's if you're really cool all have their own niches (and in the case of the Antspur that niche is completely ****ing annihilating every single boss in the basegame and DLC) (why even add other scarlet rot weapons if you're gonna make them INT scale, have a slower moveset, AND be uninfusable)

  Cleanrot's Swag Sword my beloved. In my opinion the single best infusable weapon, surpasses even the new Sword Lance which is definitely a top 5 contender. Incredible damage on every infusion, the best one-handed moveset in the game, incredible two-handed performance (particularly in the poise damage of the CR2) (how does a thrusting sword have *that* much stance pressure???) works extremely well with almost every build & AoW in the game, and looks unbelievable while doing it. Top ****ing tier

  One weird thing that I notice is that some enemies appear to be left handed, like the Cleanrots and the Pages. You can clearly see a Cleanrot Knight holding the sword in the right hand and the spear/scythe in the left hand. Yet, if you try to hold the spear with your offhand, the shield will be inside out. It is safe to assume that it's meant to be held in your right hand. I wonder if there's a reason for it.

  Wait, wut, why is this weapon being hated so much, I remember using it a couple of times and was like “yeah, it has good range and pretty good damage for its speed, but it’s not that good” before switching back to nobles Estoc. I have also seen a couple in the arena but they were a breath of fresh air compared to the swarm of pure magic builds that I fight 80% of the time. Since when was this weapon the bane of humanity?

  One handed it’s a beautiful, elegant weapon requiring talent. Two handed it becomes a mindless poke spam instrument that leverages strength scaling bonus damage with increased poise damage/stagger timer and true combos with latency. Offhand this weapon becomes a symbol of oppression that nullifies any disadvantage the main hand weapon may have had while also allowing full access to L2-to-win. Powerstanced cleanrot is four times better than one cleanrot. Go figure.

  I wish this was a long straight sword with poke heavies akin to the Lothric Knight Sword and the Balder Side Sword because it reminds me so much of the Baller Swag Sword than an actual thrusting sword
  
  I'm also sad that the only straight sword with poke heavies is the short sword, and even then that weapon doesn't even have a higher crit modifier like it did in Dark Souls 3

  I find it kinda strange that this is a str weapon. It is a sword of Cleanrot Knights, who, while heavy-armored, are a dex builds nonetheless. All other cleanrot weapons are dex\fth, so I feel like it would be better if the sword was dex, to go with other cleanrot weapons and better reflect who uses it in lore.
  What part of the lore is well represented in gameplay tho, is that this thing is a great off-stoc. It is explicitly stated to be a backup weapon used alongside a long-handled armament, after all, and knights themselves use it as such.

  The problem is that it’s a strength scaling weapon. Just throw an icon shield on your back, both ritual talismans and stack on 60 vigor with bhs. You get as much damage as a halberd, the reach of spear, the speed of a dagger. There is no downside. This same build on dex might be annoying but it wouldn’t have the absurd physical resistances of a strength build that gets further amplified by vigor/armor along with two handed bonus damage. And every patch since release has made thrust swords more and more obnoxious.

  Remember when murky hs was so frowned upon by whole community, even tryhards found it to be disgusting and rarely used it?

  L1 -> QS/BHS is op and a big middle finger to anything that ever dares to commit.
  The 2nd longest rapier is A tier in range while this one is SS. Also being S tier in damage for its class. (antspur/rogier's/cleanrot are the only viable 1s)
  80 arcane occult infused it's got some of the highest reliable damage for the build with nearly 0 stat investment making it the perfect side weapon.
  The only negative is its high weight for the class which isn't even to be considered when it has the best tools to use one of the best move-set available. It's really got it all.

  I have one of these in my str build inventory just in case, you never know when you'll need to fight fire with fire in pvp. pro tip for people who struggle with maidenless bloodhound/quickstep rapier users: just let them come to you and dodge catch them with their own weapon. nothing more satisfying than seeing some overconfident guy start second guessing his trusty cheese after being so easily swat away by a REAL tarnished like the fly he is

  I like it on a personal level, but it’s simply too good right now. Should not win trades. Needs a slight base dmg nerf, a harsh str scaling nerf and quickstep/bhs need harsh recovery skip nerf across the board. And endurance investment needs to give lightning resistance. If you double take at the str scaling nerf, think about it: should the longest thrust sword scale off a stat that benefits massively from two handing and gives massive physical resistance boost? Not to mention cols infusions get great str scaling.

  i mainly use it with bhs+electrify armament to delete mages in the arena but even then i feel bad for using such bullshit weapon

  Damn shame that this weapon is basically the Elden Ring version of the Murky Hand Scythe. This thing has been my trusty offhand weapon since around when the game launched, now I feel kind of bad whenever I use it so I typically try not to at all. Definitely great for getting that final hit in PvP though. Given all the garbage in this game, having this as an offhand option as someone who uses colossal weapons is basically necessary.

  Reputation aside, it's a shame this weapon is so unappealing to look at. I like the shape of the blade and the way it tapers, but the weird ricasso that's covered in dried up rot goo and the ugly scabbard with broken belt rings just don't do it for me. Darn shame, because the heavy thrust R2 is wonderful, and as a bladesmith I just can't deal with the estoc's slashing strong attack.

  I have recently discovered The Fun that is this baby keen-infused with a mainhanded guardian swordspear. Coming from someone whose pretty much only used off-meta weapons before discovering this combo...it's very very nice.

  I just use it because it looks nice and has the closest thing to the DeS Estoc moveset. Had no idea it had such a bad reputation. I don't do pvp though, so it's fine.

  I've started using a Guardian UGS with WoD and this thing as a backup to finish off people (with the Thunderbolt AOW), simply because it has the highest dmg of all rapiers when heavy infused, and is the longest.
  
  Never got so many people quitting while using my full STR build. Then I came here and now I know why. I had no idea this weapon was considered THE super-cancer among the regular cancer that are thrusting swords
