Did some testing and the hp you gain from this does not count towards the 20% hp total threshold for triggering talisman effects.

      • I won so many duels with a tiny sliver of hp left after trading that nothing is gonna convince me this isn't the best pvp talisman. Especially on builds with 50+ vig

I love this talisman. It's not the best, it doesn't add much health. But it was my starting gift in the lands between, and it looks beautiful.

There's an interesting little tidbit about where you find the +2 version.

The talisman can be seen before Leyndell "changes" and allows itself to be acquired. In the large street near the Avenue Balcony, there is a sewer drain that has the exact same symbol (albeit more intricate) as the one on the Talisman.
Is there something more to this?

As far as I know the Veridian could be the Haligtree, and the Cerulean is perhaps Renalla's Egg. But there are no symbols that correspond to them, that I've seen.

I was quite surprised when I was tinkering with a build calculator, only to find that this is better than Great Jar's Arsenal for my build. After shuffling my Vigor and Endurance levels around (51 Vigor 23 Endurance Medalian vs 57 Vigor 17 Endurance Jar) I had 12 more health and 11 more Stamina using the Medallion, over the Jar.

This also means I can freely swap out the Medallion after taking a hit to another talisman, which I otherwise can't do with the Jar because of weight-related reasons.

Guess this talisman wasn't the awful garbage I was led to believe it was. It's actually very much dependent on your build. If you want an example of a truly bad talisman, look at the Cerulean Amber Medallion. It's just worse than this on from a pure numerical standpoint, unless you do something extreme like never level Vigor and instead out everything into Mind.

I was like maybe the +2 version of this could cancel the downside of the twinsage glimtstone crown but no the thing reduces hp and stam by 9% wile this gives 8% hp at max

Wont increasing the endurance translate into being able to wear heavier armor, thus getting more damage reduction?

Hilariously, if you want this talisman, it's better for you to take the Lands Between rune. You can pop it to gain 3000 runes, buy this rune at the Weeping Peninsula for 1500, and have 1500 leftover.

at 55 Vig, this talisman boosts from 1814 HP up to 1950 HP, a whopping 13.5 levels.
at 60 Vig, 1900 up to 2042, which is 25 levels.

granted, these numbers don't mean a lot past the softcaps, but marika's tits this is good

Why does this page talk about "falling into secret or hidden places where the fall is too high to survive it"? Fall damage is percentage based, this talisman is not going to help with that.

Who put that thing about surviving higher falls in there? Fall damage is (and has been in every Fromsoft game so far) percent based, it would literally be counterproductive, since the flasks are not percentage based...

Beside that the maximum fall damage is 50% of your HP before you instantly die anyways and that would require you to be less than one centimeter away from the death height, so it's very unlikely that 2 survivable falls would ever kill you if you were do decide to not heal for whatever reason.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is actually raising Vigor by an integer value rather than directly raising HP by a percentage value. At Vigor 40 (1450HP) Crimson Amber Medallion +2 is giving 116HP, which is only 30 more than Crimson Amber Medallion 0 at +86HP. This is a pretty paltry improvement from an item you can start the game with to one that only becomes available in late/endgame and it would make sense if it's being hobbled by the Vigor breakpoint.

If anyone with more tears than me wants to respec a couple of times to test this you might find out something useful.

+2 version can be found in the sewers of the capital, I got it after it turned to field of ashe or something like that and dropped down a hole.
Not sure if its possible to met +2 before that.

FOR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. the Default version increases maximum HP by 6%. it would be nice if the admins could update the page to reflect this.

The +2 version is found at the Lendyll, Capital of Ash lost grace after beating Maliketh, The Black Blade. Run straight from the lost grace towards the ruins and there will be a huge well/manhole, traverse down and the talisman is on the dangling corpse.

Found a +2 version on a corpse after dropping down a big hole in the ground of Leyndell (Ash) https://youtu.be/xl6FIZM0rMU

I found a +2 version of it by dropping down an open manhole cover a short way south west of the Leyndell, Capital of Ash Grace Point (Available after clearing Mountaintops of the Giants), almost directly on top of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds map icon

A +1 version of this talisman is in the volcano manor. Go to the prison church site of grace, go out and through the little town as if you were progressing through the manor as normal, and use a stonesword key to go through the fog gate. A big moving saw enemy is there but you can easily run up the stairs to the level above, where the talisman is on a dead body.
