Converts damage received into HP in mixed physick.
|
Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear is a Crystal Tear in Elden Ring. Crystal Tears can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to enhance its effect.
A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.
Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction converts incoming damage into recovered HP instead. However, physical damage cannot be converted.
This effect is only brief and will quickly expire.
Where to find Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear
Mountaintops of the Giants: Start at the Foot of the Forge site of grace and move to the most north-eastern part of that mountain, past the pot-throwing trolls and the giant Fingercreeper. The bubbletear is at the end of a narrow passage heading west from this point, along the northern cliff. Beware that the passage is infested with small Fingercreepers. [Map Link]
Elden Ring Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear Notes & Tips
- Restores 5% of Max HP when hit for 15 seconds
- Works on the lava in Rykard's arena
- Does not work on Mohg's Nihil attack
- Does not work on self-inflicted, non-physical damages
- You can find Crystal Tears at the bases of Minor Erdtrees and elsewhere throughout the Lands Between
- At sites of grace, you can mix two crystal tears in the Flask of Wondrous Physick (This will allow you to create elixirs with various custom effects)

Very satisfying against Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear ambushers, lol. Just walk right up and obliterate them with your own cheesy move.

The directions are too complicated and the mark on your map doesn't lead to the item. Can you just add a video showing the location?
- Anonymous
Please add a video showing the location. I'm not a native English speaker and I can't figure out from your directions where should I go. I also went to the exact spot on the map and the item wasn't there.

Current glitch: use golden epithas last rites, use holy ground on HOLY infused medium shield, spam drink button for flask filled with this until holy grounds runs out. Congratulations, now you are absolutely permanently (until you die or log out) immune to all elemental damage, and even heal from taking it....

basically necessary ng+7 for elden beast if you aren't timing your poise breaks to elden stars, or don't have the heaviest armor in the game.

How i be looking at the host after he hit me with the dollar store comet azur

Warning: it doesnt work with spells that deal physical damage, like stone of gurranq, ekzykes's decay, aspects of the crucible: horns, etc.

Please! Somebody go test this out on Melania's scarlet Aonia!

Go stand in your enemy's swarm of flies and heal up. works great with a heavily armored build.

So this is the Crystal Tear you want to use when fighting Gankers as an invader. Dodge the Moonveil - Blasphemous Blade spammers or get some HP back.
- Anonymous
Just goes to show how much FS hates mages. This + Erdtree Greatshield (or any shield with Carian Retaliation).

It is certainly enjoyable to slowly walk through spells that would normally two-shot you.

It seems bugged with Purifying Crystal Tear? DId a fight with Mohg and drank this before Nihil, my hp was recovering the whole fight whenever he did damage to me

On the map, if you zoom all the way in, it's actually slight west (left) of where it is on the map link.

The directions here are terrible to follow. Let me give you a better one that isn't confusing.
On the landmass that the Church of Repose is located, start at the 'Foot of the Forge' site of grace and move to the most north-eastern part of that mountain, past the giant Fingercreeper. The item is at the end of a narrow passage along the north-eastern cliff that is infested with small Fingercreepers.

Even now, you can still get people calling you a hacker every so often because they still don't know this thing exists (at least on xbox). Had a moonveil mage in a colosseum 2v1 (my partner failed to connect) shout hackusations when stars of ruin and transient moonlight did no damage. Kind of funny, kind of sad.

You can jump down from above to save going around the cliff edge and fighting a load of hands.

I played this game for like 5 months now and have absolutely no idea this was a thing. Accidentally saw it in a video and was curious about what the whirly red tear was and checked if I missed any. Oh boy, good thing I did, this thing mixed with hardtear is probably the best cocktail you can have in PvP. And I guess most people on PC are just as unaware as I was since they just keep rushing and spamming at you while you're literally close to invincible for a couple of seconds.
If you're interested about PvP, don't miss this little red vortex, you won't regret it at all. Can be life-saving against multiple people and gives you plenty of room to unleash some great AoE or dish out insane burst damage.

Literally didn’t know this existed and called a dude a cheat for it, killed em first game no prob but then he popped this on the next duel and took 0 damage and won a trade, super OP

I just had a really weird glitch happen to me where I was fighting a magic build and after the effects of this supposedly wore off it actually stayed with me. The buff symbol was gone, but I kept healing any time I was hit. No clue how it happened or how to recreate it.

Does anyone by chance know if it still registers as a hit and you flinch from it? Or does it act solely as just you healing and you can still input actions freely?
- Anonymous
thinking about popping this physick w dex knot during malenia's second phase cuz that **** is madness
- Anonymous
this tear is absolute trolling incarnate since so many builds rely on elemental damage and for whatever reason, a ton of people will just keep smacking you even after fighting you before and knowing this is in your arsenal. Someone trying to vigor check you with the screwdriver sword? Block that **** and heal to full hp on the chip damage alone. Mage zoning you out with spam? Pop your flask and just sprint pell-mell straight at them. Needless to say, combine this with a 100 phys resist shield for the best effects, and make sure to time its use well since you have a pretty small window to actually make use of it. Abolutely a go-to for duels. Also, while I haven't tried it, I imagine it could be pretty useful against Elden beast as a 15 second get out of jail free card since every single one of its attacks deals pure holy damage.
- Anonymous
This is definitely an under used tear. Everyone runs opaline which is hilarious to pop with fan daggers.
- Anonymous
Have they nerf’d the effects yet? Cuz I really wanna use this on the goddess an beast fight!!!
- Anonymous
What damage types does this convert into hp? I know it doesn't work for physical but what about all the other ones
- Anonymous
I must've taken a wrong turn and ended up at the cliff right above it. I could drop down from there, bit by bit, and take out the hands from above in safety.
- Anonymous
So.. from what I gather, it (currently) sets your elemental resistances to something like 90-95% or more? Doesn't do anything for physical. It SAYS it heals but I did not notice any healing being done to me, just the fact it significantly reduced any elemental damage taken. I tried this out on that huge Bolt aoe the Dragonlord does and it did like.. 0 damage to me.
So.. is it bugged? Or is the description just wrong. Fromsoft works in ways unknown to me.

This thing made me immortal for a few duels once. Tried to record and my game crashed
- Anonymous
Was doing Mohg's phase 1 consistently, but when I got to phase 2 he completely beat the **** out of me (I hadn't found the purifying crystal tear yet), so out of desperation I tried this (I don't remember what the other crystal tear was, maybe crimsonspill or greenburst). Well, for reasons I can't possibly imagine, it glitched and I got something like 95% resistance to ALL damage, and was completely immune to blood loss damage (blood loss happened but I took no damage upon activation), and this continued for the rest of the fight, so definitely more than two minutes. My character was basically immortal until I rested at the grace site.
- Anonymous
Why, just why did it have to be near fingercreepers? Why does every fantasy game need spider enemies. Screw you Tolkien.
- Anonymous
Perfect against moonveil users and stars of ruin spammers.
"Omg why my super powerful attacks do zero damage, this is haxx"
- Anonymous
This does NOT currently heal and the description is incorrect both here and in-game. This is not a bug but a stealth nerf. It now only grants 99.00% resistance to all elemental dmg negation and has no healing properties at all. This is the equivalent of being very close to invulnerable to elemental damage but not totally, and without any benefit of healing. Feel free to test it naked in lava or against the lightning spewing balls as I have.

combine with leaden hardtear for maximum "philly crackhead shrugging off a fire hose" energy

Works with Maliketh's rune of true death attacks. (The ones that the Black Knife and his sword's L2/LT do once you get them).

Does this work online? It would be kind of broken if it did.

Used this, then got scarlet rot debuff, then used flame, cleanse me and somehow had a small heal over time for an infinite duration. basically had the cerulean heal effect play every 5 seconds plus regained a small bit of health forever.
“Why won’t you die!!!”
“Wonderous Physick son, they harden in response to magic spam”

This may have been mentioned in another comment, but Crimsonwhorl does not provide health regen from Fire's Deadly Sin's self-damage
- Anonymous
somehow i had this last for 2-3 minutes during an invasion, the only other buff i ever had active was the cerulean hidden tear. legitimately no clue what happened.
- Anonymous
The name of the item in game is actually crimson bubbletear
- Anonymous
I just encountered a odd bug using the tear in a boss fight. It appeared ro have infinite duration and i could not take damage anymore.

So many fights in this game I'm battling against the camera, and working your way around the cliff to get this crystal tear is a perfect example.

Is anyone gonna mention the giant **** me spider hand?! Wtf why is it so god damn big!?
I will try this on malenia second phase when she drop spreading her AIDS and attacking her
What unnecessary hints are those?
"Rykards lava heals you?" Maybe because its Fire damage you take
"Mohgs Nihil attack doesn't heal" maybe because it deals a type of damage that cant be reduced or negated. Its bloodloss.
- Anonymous
Idk if anyones mentioned it yet, but this is a great counter to Carina Retaliation until it’s patched in pvp
- Anonymous
Does this work on the damage from from madness/blood lost/frostbite? Trying to find something to temporarily give me space when i run into gank squads with a frenzied burst dude in the back trying to one tap me

This is a great tear to use for Elden Beast's Chasing Stars attack

While the map is a great thing, and the map page says that icons are not pixel perfect, this one could use a major shove to the west. It's {Over there.} The map shows it NW of the leg of the lying giant with its head pointing south. It's actually in the "hair" of the "man's face" in profile.
- Anonymous
It made me invincible for the whole Placidusax fight, or was it something else?
- Anonymous
Does this work with scarlet rot/poison, or do those count as physical damage?

I appreciate so much that Fextralife provides, but the directions and map placement for this item are horrendous. Both are misleading, and it’s especially annoying in such a trap-filled area.
I find this explanation to be more: From the “Foot of the Forge” grace, head northeast until you find a giant dog coming out of a clearing. Turn left there to find fire slugs and another giant dog. Entering the clearing, there are giants throwing magic flame pots, so beware. Head north towards a rock formation, and you’ll see a giant on top of it to the right. Turn right and go downhill towards the east - you’ll see another giant walking away from you. As you pass the walking giant, watch for a giant hand to come out of the snow. This is where you turn to the north and continue downhill. Once you’ve reached the northernmost point of that area, look to the cliff wall on your left where there is a path continuing west around the cliff edge. As you continue down this path, numerous hand enemies will appear in front of and behind you. The tear is found at the end of this path, and you’ll also be ambushed by a large hand.

This plus iron jar aromatic plus unendurable frenzy. You're welcome.
- Anonymous
Don't go there when you have an amount of runes you would mind losing. The cliff is an entire troll setup with enemies sneaking up from behind and you'd probably die right in the middle of the cliff where you might not reach the remains before dying again.
Rolling or the the hands themselves will easily push you off the cliff.
Best charge out to the open area and take them on from there.
- Anonymous
Unfortunately, this doesn't work on Mohg's Nihil, even though you'd think it'd do anything but physical damage as it is a magic curse
- Anonymous
This helped me get a free 15 seconds of hitting Rykard while standing in the lava. Made the battle noticeably easier.
- Anonymous
would it have killed them to put "non-physical" in the short description?
- Anonymous
15 seconds of mage builds not being able to do anything but run away. If you drink think & a mage runs from you, then it's your own fault.
- Anonymous
Can someone explain to me how this works, because I tried testing it by consuming it and letting myself get hit by mobs and it doesn't heal me in the slightest. Could it be bugged somehow? I tested it on malenia, erdtree avatar, haligtree knights and they all just damage me regularly.

- Anonymous
Does anyone know if this hard counters Scarlet Aeonia from phase 2 of the haligtree boss?
- Anonymous
perfect to use when the elden beast uses that endless homing projectile on you
- Anonymous
My immediate thought was to see if this would turn your own Night Maiden's Mist into a healing cloud for yourself; however, that is not the case, it still damages you as normal.

Best Crystal Tear imo , after the early Opaline and Hardtear for sure.... You can also Mix the other part with something that goes Offensive. ( As this Crimsonwhol is the Best Late-Game defensive option ). Because the Opaline Bubble Tear immediately vanishes after 1 attack , but as for this it Lasts all of the 15sec duration... Also best for Demi-God encounters too as the Health returns. Currently i'm going with the Unlimited FP and this Mix ( Early Game you should always go with Opaline Bubble Tear and the Big Damage Negation Headtear i think its called Leaden Hardtear or something like that ). You also dont need those 50% Crystal Tears , as Late Game you should have the Cap of Golden Seeds ( Total of 14 Total Potions , i'm going with 12 HP and 2 FP Cerealian Flasks and the Mix Physique is an Excellent with this Crimsonwhol and the Unlimited FP Mix ). Goodluck folks. Also i recommend poping the Mixed Flask with this Crystal Tear only when you are stuck at 50%-60% so that you could easily Fully Heal as damage-backup ( This Mix will also save up your HP Flasks in certain Situations aswell ). Best Crystal Tear i'd say TOP 3
- Anonymous
Absolutely love this thing, every time I duel a mage I drink my physick, then I rush them down like there's no tomorrow.
10/10 Would drink again
- Anonymous
Has anyone tried this one with Leaden Hardtear against ganks? How does it perform?
- Anonymous
Want to get rid of those annoying moonveil spammers? well this is the tear for you! There beams convert into health for you!
- Anonymous
Just fought a particularly fiery/bloody greater boss & used this during its 2nd phase. It healed me a ton of times & lasted for a LONG time. Was literally putting in minimal effort because I thought I'd just die for the 20th time. There's either additional OP mechanics to this or it bugged out on me. The smaller damage ticks said boss does were auto healing easy but all the sudden, the bigger hits were almost being negated. I got beat like a ragdoll and still beat him with only a few flasks. Felt like a cheap win.
- Anonymous
a phantom almost killed me and had me on the run but then his host used moonveil beams to heal me up to full. if you're having a hard time with casters in your invasions i 100% recommend trying this out
- Anonymous
I haven't tested this but I bet you can combine this with Ruptured Crystal Tear, which deals holy damage, for invulnerability to its effects plus a cool 800 healing
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I can't find it and I have been searching the ledge for half an hour lol
- Anonymous
Since this only works with elemental damage (at least what the description implies) it would be funny to have a caster fire a full length Comet Azure at you and see how fast your health returns to full.
combine with poise tear or endure for the ultimate pvp cheese flask
