Summons spirit of Depraved Perfumer Carmaan
|
Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes is a Spirit and Summon in Elden Ring. Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes are used to summon the spirit of Carmaan, who throw Spark Aromatics and can heal when damaged.
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon the spirit of Carmaan, the depraved perfumer.
Depraved perfumers practice their art for themselves alone. Carmaan was a notably formidable perfumer whose strength rivaled that of heroes, and it is said that he was in search of a secret physick of revivification.

Where to Find Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes
- Located on a corpse in Volcano Manor that is near the top of Mt. Gelmir, west of Altus Plateau. Finding these ashes involves beginning the Volcano Manor questline. Once inside the manor talk to Lady Tanith and agree to receive the drawing-room key which opens the doors in the hallway to the right. In the room opposite to a bolted shut door is an illusionary wall that hides the secret passage leading you around the manor's perimeter into the locked room that hides the corpse holding the ashes. Uses poison cloud sometimes. Pretty useful but cost is a bit too high.

Top summon. Great AoE spam and stays alive. Also you can give him other buffs and they won't remove his own Bloodboil

I just watched a youtube video where his name is "Fallen Perfumer Carmaan." It seems he was originally Fallen Perfumer before being renamed in some update.

Might be a strange question but mines doesn’t heal or use half the aromatics and comes up as Depraved Perfumer Carmaan when summoned but I have seen people on YouTube say he’s really good and his name is “fallen perfumer Carmaan” when summoned. Could it be possible that these are two separate summons with something triggering people getting the fallen version (which seems to be better than mine) compared to the depraved version?

Brought him in against the 2 crucible knights in the hero's grave outside the city. He drew aggro on one while I fought the other. I honestly didn't expect him to last long, but he stayed alive until I beat the first one so we could team up on the second one. That self-heal is nuts once he's got enough health to realize he needs to use it.

Okay, I don't get the hate for this one. The damage is okay, but the real area that it shines in is its self healing making it fairly good at staying alive, and drawing agro. But what makes it really good is its ability to give a buff that lets you tank a hit for free. The buff is in an AoE, and if your hit while in the buffs range it is almost immediately reapplied. I've had fights were I get stuck in a bosses combo, and walk away completely unhurt because I was if the area of the buff.

He is actually really good in my opinion only problem is against Dragons and constantly AOE Bosses. But fun fact he heals so don't matter hahaha

In the description it says he seeked a secret physick of revivificaton. Has anyone tried to see if you die with him still alive if he revives you?

His range ai is a bit bugged but overall great survivability if you actually participate in the fight and dont expect to just be a lazy bum and do nothing the entire time. Against faster bosses he can struggle but overall hes a good summon. Hidden cerulean tear carries too, not just for him but all expensive summons
this thing solo'd the Ancient Hero of Zamor in the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave at +10 i was super impressed, got close to dieing multiple times but healed up to nearly full 3-4 times, each hit was about 185-280ish(for the 2 hit combo) and the fire AOE hit for about 350ish, and used some kind of glowy aura he throws at the enemy but couldn't tell what that did.

Not the best summon especially for the absurdly high fp cost. Best to just stick to oleg or mimic tear.

This thing is probably the absolute worst summon i think ive used in terms of cost and actual damage output in general. Absolutely 0 damage despite the real ones dealing nuclear levels of damage. It's either bugged or they just made it purposefully as a bait. Never invest in this one, clearly a trap.

The AI for some of these summons really needs to be tweaked. This guy constantly attacks from a range where he's too far away to actually hit anything.

People talking bad about this ashes are not mentioning one critical thing. This guy has the ability to heal himself at-least 3 times from what I have seen. As long as you can split the agro between him and you he can last very long and does contribute.

passive aggresive, big range and aoe, does take aggro and can dodge, but thats about it. does get stunlocked and destroyed by larger groups, but the addition can be nice if you aren't just watching him die ever so slowly

Don't bother upgrading this guy, got him to +10 and he's still as crap as always. Rarely hits enemies, fights like a coward and just doesn't bring much to the table.

You can actually get this guy at level 6, and use him at level 20 or so but dont bother. He just casts the crappy aromatic spells sparks and fire, which are support and debuffs. His melee is horrible and defense non existent. He gets destroyed 1v1 against the guards outside of Gatefront. Basically cant hold aggro, cant tank, cant do damage. Major disappointment for a "special" ash that requires ghost glovewort and 124 FP to summon. Oh and his name in game is "Fallen Perfumer Carmaan" not depraved.

the summon will be in the volcano manor, after completing the first assassination assignment you should be notified that there was a black serpent like creature that went into one of the rooms and you will check it out. when you enter the room there will be a corpse on the ground next to a table and behind him is a secrete door way you go through. proceed through the pathway leading to a dead end. Turn left and smack the wall and you should unlock a secret room which has the summon
The self healing makes him a true unit in duo fights. Came in clutch against Gargoyles, and it was fun getting him to +6 and watching him solo weeping peninsula bosses after I forgot to do the area early (again)
