Why THIS gets boosted by the Crucible Set but not other cru weapons? Incantations, AoW Wings and this gets it, but the other two weapons AoW are not... bruh, dishonest FromSoft

Does the spin have a hit box? That would be amazing for tall enemies.

This skill would be a lot better given more poise damage on charged, maybe around 80 so it’s more than ordvois’s vortex, that or the windup could be less

Nice changes, but the skill is still practically useless. On lower games it may be great, but on ng7 Ng7+ everything kills almost in the 2nd hit and you don't even have time to recharge the skill. It would have to be much faster. It's a pity because it could be an interesting build

Is it just me, or is the explosion of the weapon art delayed? I find that in duels, people will jump attack me when the hammer lands but like 0.5 seconds later the explosion one-shots them. lol

is it just me or is the explosion delayed compared to the animation? its pretty hilarious in duels when they jump attack after the hammer lands but the explosion happens 0.5 seconds after and they get one-shot.

It's best to just use this skill uncharged. With full Crucible set and Shard of Alexander, uncharged version still does great damage and flattens even the medium sized enemies like Omens. Stamina wise, it's also much more efficient than the fully charged one.
There's too much risk fully charging this skill, and considering it does less poise damage than fully charged Ordovis, the returns aren't that high either.

For anyone wondering each piece of the crucible set (even altered chestpieces) increases the damage of this skill by 3,9% multiplicatively. This results in +16,5% damage with full set.

I've tried defending this, I really have, but it's weak. You're much better off doing a jumping or charged heavy. Even with godfrey icon and full crucible set, it's only just good. Needs a buff. Shame, I really like the weapon.

Looks funny as hell if you don't have the stats for the weapon.

Should be noted that the damage bonus from the Crucible sets apply to this AoW, unlike for the other crucible weapons.

Please stand still for 5 minutes while I charge this up... ok here we go & I'm dead.

This should deal more damage than Ordovis', at the cost of longer charge time

AoE is the same as Ordovis lul. I expected this to be bigger or something.

really should have been Devonia's centaur move instead. something like a three input combo of hoof stamps

Ah yes, a hammer like colossal weapon's aow deals LESS stance dmg when charged than that of the greatsword

Lazy Fromsoftware really copy and paste Ordovis Vortex into a colossal
