AnonymousSo, what happens if you defeat the Baleful Shadow before getting the Miniature Ranni Doll? I'm assuming this can happen if you get to Nokstella through Deeproot Depths. Does the NPC only spawn once you have the doll? If he spawns regardless can you kill him before getting the doll, does this lock you out of getting the key and basically soft lock Ranni's questline?

Of my gripes with ER's tedious quest breaks, the fact she hands you a key has implicit intent to kill Rennala despite her intervention of said fight, logically makes 0.00% sense.
