Divine Towers in Elden Ring are special areas associated to gods and demigods. You can restore one or more of the Great Runes  at each location.

List of Divine Towers in Elden Ring

Here is a full list of Divine Towers and associated Runes:

  1. Divine Tower of Limgrave - Godrick's Great Rune
  2. Divine Tower of Caelid - Radahn's Great Rune
  3. Divine Tower of Liurnia - Cursemark of Death
  4. Divine Tower of East Altus - Mohg's Great Rune and Morgott's Great Rune
  5. Divine Tower of West Altus - Rykard's Great Rune
  6. Isolated Divine Tower - Malenia's Great Rune

Most towers can only be accessed after you have acquired the Great Rune by defeating the corresponding boss. See the page Divine Tower of Caelid for an explanation of how to get in there; the Divine Tower of Liurnia is associated to Ranni's questline.

anyone notice how the engravings that flank the entrances to all the divine towers look like it is meant to represent the Crucible? The middle part looks like a horse still in the womb, and the multiple other aspects of different animals surrounding it (ie, feathers, scales, etc)
makes me think that the divine towers were constructed before the arrival of the Elden Beast and they were just co-opted by the Two Fingers

I recently realized the Divine Towers exist outside of time like Farum Azula. They have the same sky effect/color with the yellow tinge and constant cloudcover as is seen in Placidusax's arena specifically, combined with existing separate to the weather and time of the outside world. Also worth noting is that despite both the Forge of the Giants and Beastial Sanctum being comparable distances to Farum Azula, the only place where you can see Farum Azula from the rest of the world is from the isolated Divine Tower, while nothing is visible where Farum Azula should be from Forge or Sanctum.
