As with most arcane weapons with split damage leveling arcane over dex is better until 60 arcane. The arcane scales both phsical and fire damage on the weapon while the dex only increases the physical damage. Despite the lower arcane acaling you get more damage overall from arcane. On top of that you also increase the bleed buildup as well.

if your fighting revenants with this in the haligtree, don't use the follow up, the first dance staggers them, but if you spam to do the follow up they'll get up and probably kill you

This weapon is criminally overlooked by dedicated Arcane Builds.
It has a unique Skill that complements 2 Exultation Talismans, Rotten Wing Sword Insignia/ Millicent's Prothesis and Flame Grant Me Strength.
Eleonora's Poleblade simply mows down anyone who doesn't resist Bleed or Fire Damage. Poison/Scarlet Rot is an afterthought.

the heavy attack reminds me a lot of those pinwheeling double sword knight bastards in farum azula

Using last rites then sacred order than using the skill causes weird particle effects

This thing is visually two Rivers of Blood strapped together. It's questionable if it works the way it's intended though, the rapid hits of the weapon art can stunlock most things in the game. One of my favorite weapons.

C scaling in dex, D in arcane, but scales better with arcane. "Oh but some C scalings are different blablabla". If a weapon has a better listed scaling it shouldn't scale worse with that stat. How hard is it to make stuff that makes sense, Fromsoft?

I've been shocked how devastating this is to the heavy armored knights. The weapon art combo brutalizes them and frequently also stuns them when most of it lands, giving you an additional riposte opportunity if they're even still alive at that point.

So this weapon is referred to as a poleblade, and it's AoW is called Bloodblade Dance. So I guess you can call the users of this weapon pole dancers.

Fun fact: this weapon is a HARD counter for Malenia. The skill completely stunlocks her.
I beat her yesterday without her getting a single hit off and the ONLY thing i did was run up to her, start pressing the skill button as fast as i could (and not die after the phase transition). There was no dodging, no timing or avoiding. It was literally just button mashing the skill.

Between my and my mimic tear, this weapon along with Swarm of Flies kept staggering malenia. Swarm has capability to stop her waterfowl dance when she jumps in the air if timed right, then when she falls, use ash of war to slice her to ribbons. Then during phase two, swarm of flies will help whittle her health as she recovers from her giant flower attack, might trigger hemorrhage

Powerstancing this with a blood-AoW twinblade is 4x more fun than rivers of blood.

I'm sorry people but if you think it's strong attack is good, you are feeding into your own fantasy.
Can it multi hit like no tomorrow, sure, does it deal decent amount of poise damage, yes, But the speed even for uncharged version, the range and hit box for it is as abysmall as on Scythe without benefit of true comboing into anything. And yes anyone walking into it is an Npc.
Also Erdtree's Favor+2 gives max 90 hp even on 60 vigor, and Draconcrest Greatshield gets nerfed in pvp from 20% to 5%....

I don’t care what anyone says, this is my favorite weapon in the game and probably always will be. Every-time I make a new character or respec it’s only a matter of time before I come back to this
I just started a Dex/Int/Arc build and I adore this weapon. The Bloodblade Dance breaks poise easily & consistently. Damage stacks well with the Winged Sword Insignia(currently working on getting Millicent's Prosthesis to further stack damage)......Oh, fun tip; if you're helping a friend with an invader, coordinate Bloodblade Dance/Waterfowl Dance, they stand NO chance of surviving :D
Started a new character that's focused on Dex/Int/Arc, this weapon is incredible! Not crazy high damage, but it stacks up quick if you can connect hit-after-hit. The Bloodblade Dance breaks poise with ease. I currently have the Winged Sword Insignia, and I'm making my way through Milicent's quest so I can stack it with Millicent's Prosthesis.
....fun tip;
If you're helping a friend and you get invaded, coordinate Waterfowl Dance/Bloodblade Dance, the invader stands ZERO chance of surviving :D

If you don't mind giving up some damage, try running this on a more defensive setup: Erdtree's Favor+2, Draconcrest Greatshield, Godskin Swaddling Cloth, and your choice of damage-related talisman (Lord of Blood's Exaltation/ / Fire Scorpion Charm / etc.). Take the Thorny Cracked Tear + your choice of second tear in the Physick Flask. Twinblades synergize exceptionally well with Swaddling Cloth, and Bloodblade Dance gains extra utility, in addition to its fantastic damage output (great hyper-armor, tons of stagger potential, and healing on top of it all). Optionally, take the Blasphemous Blade or Serpent-God's Curved Sword in your off-hand for extra healing off mobs. Eleonora's Poleblade just might be my favorite weapon in the game.

Using mimic's veil and ambushing people with this weapon art in pvp is downright disgusting
- Anonymous
I wish this weapon was a little better, you can get better bleed and the same scaling with just a regular Twinblade with literally any ash of war that applies bleed, a maxed out twin blade with just the base level of arcane will deal 100 bleed build up per hit, almost double this weapon's, the only reason to use this weapon is the ash of war which is alright at least.
- Anonymous
I need this +10 mine is just +9. What do you want in return?
- Anonymous
Incredibly well balanced weapon. The L2 hyperarmor with its massive poise damage is amazing. Even against bosses that are immune to bleed, e.g. consistently sends Mogh down for riposte. low stat reqs, Bandit can 2H it at base str, and 2H twinblades got a significant speed buff in 1.08. Very safe weapon, almost too easy to land hits since you basically connect with anything within a radius — great in a crowd and vs a boss. Just be sure to level Endurance — you need the stamina and decent defenses to take advantage of the L2 hyperarmor.

I laugh at Rivers of Blood wielders when using this.
The weapon art on this has VERY good tracking, insane stagger damage, and pairs very well with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia.
I MELTED Malenia with this and I have 22 Dex

The coolest weapon in elden ring
i finally found what
IIIIIIII WAS LLOOOOKING FOR
It's so neat that the same Dex/Arc build can be used for both RoB and Eleonora's Poleblade, I love the option to switch between them depending on the fight without having to swap anything else. They both have strong AoW that you can spam for encounters, exact same damage types, and both proc blood loss.
(Rotten) Winged Sword Insignia, Lord of Blood Exultation, Carian Filigreed Crest, Shard of Alexander. Points in vigor, some in mind (~25-30) and some in endurance, spread the rest between Dex and Arc. Probably some point in faith to use Flame Grant Me Strength and maybe Bestial Vitality and Lightning Spear if you want.
Also this weapon is pretty good against Malenia. It exploits her 2 worst weaknesses, low poise and hemorrhage. I actually felt like I cheated when I used this to beat her.

Eleonora in the right hand and peeler in the left. Swap the ashes on the peeler to suit, and bang the art on the pole when you get the chance. Hours and hours of fun.
- Anonymous
Although the C in Dex, this weapon scales better with arcane, besides, the blood loss increase with arcane so, sleep on that stat.

Feels like the AoW is more consistent now that damage detection is activated immediately following the patch. Feels a lot better to use now

The r2s are what make this a top tier weapon. Running or walking r2 mixups will easily rollcatch. If someone is dumb enough to get caught in a charged r2 they will get shredded. The ash is ok too i suppose.

Date today is 7th of October 2022. Just got invaded by Eleanora at 2nd church after killing Shabriri and not doing any of Yuras quest.

I found this late in the game and its AOW just trivializes most normal enemies with the poise damage. Also not bad against players. I throw it out first, and it catches most people. The people who say it's bad must be too used to their dual curved swords, GS pokes, or spears carrying them.

I see a lot of people say that this in pvp with another twinblade that is cold infused is super OP, but I don't think people understand how the math works. Yes, you can proc both frostbite and bleed at the same time, but let me shed some light on why this isn't very viable. Following what the wiki says on both the Hemorrhage page and Frostbite page, bleed deals 485 damage on proc for a 1900 health opponent, whereas frostbite deals 220. If you were to powerstance one of each you would deal 705 damage when they both proc. That is all good, but why not just run two blood infused twinblades instead? You can instantly proc bleed every single jumping attack to deal 485, but if you decide to go with this and a frostbite one you must do 2 jumping attacks to deal 705, meaning you are dealing 265 less damage as you could jump attack twice with 2 bleed infused twinblades for 970 damage instead.

To the mindless goobers who do nothing but spam the aow: I am ALWAYS going to giant hunt or pulley crossbow you. There is so much more to this weapon than l2.
- Anonymous
Both RoB and Eleonora's Poleblade seem like they're part of a Land of Reeds bleed blades set. Same investment path, damage and general look. The same DEX/ARC build works for both. I just think they're neat. Screw the meta goblins, I want my blood lightsabers! (but only for PvE)
- Anonymous
I f*****g love this weapon. Its wa is sweet af and it poise breaks almost everybody. Bleed and fire a la RoB. Pure sexy dangerous.
- Anonymous
Literally invaded someone who was using this with white mask at level 30 and the thing somehow still bled me in one shot. zzzz hate this
- Anonymous
isn't particularly relevant to the weapon itself but i think it would be cool if a modder somehow took the weapon and made it a paired katana weapon and gave it a stance type ash of war the only thing I can really think of is the dual wielding banished knight combo and the spin they do as well but instead of frost its bleed (probably wouldn't be balanced at all but still would be cool)
- Anonymous
This weapon isn't Rivers of Blood! I can't spam L2 to win every PvE encounter, it doesn't proc bleed after 3 hits, and people that never used it say it's bad. So this is the worst weapon in the history of gaming!
Sarcasm. Sorry. There are comments that read much like this already so you may have thought I was serious. The problem with the meta goblins of this forum is that they let numbers dictate their experience. If the numbers aren't high enough, a weapon is deemed "trash" and "unusable". The problem is that these people tend to be PvP focused. So their opinions are mostly colored by anecdotal evidence from duels. I also find that these meta goblins parrot whatever they hear from others of their ilk. They don't actually test things for themselves. They rely on others to to the work for them and then just assume that the person that typed a bunch of numbers must be correct. The reality is that most people haven't even tried the weapons they **** on. This weapon is no exception.
Does it bleed as fast as RoB? No. In fact, you can inflict bleed faster with a non unique twinblade with Blood or Occult enchantment. That's why people say it's bad. Because they think Bleed is the only statis effect in the game worth using. What about the crazy interactions Bloodflame weapons get with frost? You can instantly reset Frostbite to proc it all over again thanks to the fire damage. So you can offhand a cold twinblade of choice and proc both bleed and frost with 1 powerstanced jumping light attack. There's nothing better at doing that. Not even RoB with Cold Uchi which was my previous setup before trying this out. Not only that, Bloodflame Dance does a ton of poise damage. You WILL stagger bosses with this quite frequently. Lastly, once you get used to it, you can use the Ash to evade and counter attacks. It's really not difficult to master.
But even if it wasn't secretly amazing, you get to flip and spin around like Darth Maul. It's fun. Fun is important in games. That's a fact the meta goblins always seem to forget. They get their fun by using the most powerful build possible for their level and skill investment. But some of us just want to take some wacky or badass looking weapon and kill demigods with them in unique and stylish ways. That's fun! Don't let anyone trick you into playing how they play just because they love number crunching. Do what you want. It's your game. If you want to use this weapon, you'll have fun. It's not OP but it's way better than people say. Try it out! Screw the meta goblins.

And this is Mistral?
Seems great for a cosplay of a girl with pink hair and a heavy french accent

Would be kind of cool to use this with another twinblade with a cold infusion, though that's not a particularly original idea, I assume, as both Frostbite and Bleed are broken when used right, or Bleed just in general. The only interesting thing about that combo is that it's one of the only real ways to use bleed + Frostbite + fire with only two weapons.

The attribute scaling on this weapon is strange. Despite appearing to have slightly higher scaling with dexterity, it benefits more from arcane investment overall because arcane increases both its physical AND fire damage, while dexterity only increases physical damage. Arcane also improves its bleed build-up. Don't look at the C/D at max upgrade and think this is a dex weapon.
- Anonymous
I start off every PvP match holding a RoB to get em scared, then swap out to dual wielding 2 of these to feel like the General Grievus of RoB. I still lose, but it's fun having them run around scared ****less for the first minute or 2.
I finally stopped running like a ***** if there were 3+ dogs coming at me bc lol. Though id keep a back when near a ledge.

Fun fact: this weapon's model is literally just the model of the black mortal blade from Sekiro (the one Genichiro uses in the final fight, notice the giant flower guard), but they copy/pasted it and stuck it together at the handle, before making the blade red.
- Anonymous
If there's one thing I would change is I would make the weapon art do more blood loss buildup and maybe a slight range extension like bloody slash. At the start the blade literally gets soaked in blood, just like corpse piler and bloody slash, so why it doesn't either have a little more range and/or more blood buildup is beyond me.
- Anonymous
Does the weapon art do extra bleed buildup like corpse piler on ROB?
- Anonymous
Might not be great in PvP but I can't stress enough how good this is in PvE. The AI has absolutely no idea what to do about it and it deals massive poise damage, in addition to building up bleed with every hit. While the damage is split, it's split to fire, which many, many enemies and late-game bosses either don't resist or are weak to.

In my playthrough I had to go through Yura's quest to trigger the invasion from Eleoonora, might be something to check and correct from the wiki

All I can say is that.
1. It is Highly Buffable, Fire Scorpion Charm, Flame Grant Me Strength, Golden Vow, Winged Sword Insignia, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis, Lord of Blood Exultation, and Thorny Cracked Tear.
2. If you Power Stance two of these and it doesn't need to be Eleonora's Poleblade, mod a second Twinblade with blood and you will preform a six hit jump attack!. Each with their own 1 second burn of Blood Flame per hit. So you hit with weapon bleed 6 times, have 6 burn counters per jump attack. You can also use Godskin Swaddling Cloth and Malenia Great Rune for Rapid Healing, Claw Talisman, Raptor Cloak.
Now with the first and second point add together, How do people see this as weaker than RoB? If you power stance two of these almost trivializes anything that takes bleed damage.

Darth Maul cosplay: Elenora Poleblade, preceptor's long gown(altered) or Alberich's Robe(altered), preceptor gloves, preceptor pants. You can also use confessor hood(unaltered) if you want to have him with his hood on, but I presonally feel that it ruins the look. Sliders that matter: Completely black skin with a red #31 tattoo on face flipped upside down (completely right or completely left on the slider) expanded to max size. Make the gaps in the tattoo (that appear when it is flipped) that are near the eyes be on top of the eyes so you can see the eyes. Otherwise just make the eyes orange and the face appear generally mad. I recommend bone structure 6 for this. Happy cosplaying!

Wanted a balanced dex/arcane weapon and I got it. Raw damage being a bit lower than other options is GOOD given the sheer utility of this thing.

Alright here's how to get this weapon (and Nagikiba) at base level without progressing any questlines other than Yura's. Start game, grab Torrent. Talk to Yura, then run straight down to the Nerijus invasion and kill him (if you're struggling it's vital to run towards Yura so he'll help you). Continue straight ahead and talk to Yura again. Jump up the spiritspring and go to the Third Church of Marika grace. Two things to do from here. First, go to Fort Haight and get the dectus mdeallion half from there. Second take the teleporter to Dragon Barrow. Go down the hill and find the lower bridge on the left side. Head across past Lenne's rise, take the spiritspring. Down to the back of the minor erdtree take the second spiritspring and head to Fort Faroth. Straight in up the first ladder grab the other half of the medallion. Now go back to the Gatefront and run around the back of Stormveil and into Liurnia. Go straight for the glintstone key, enter the academy and kill the Ravenmount assassin (I put enough points to use Reduvia and the bleed makes this fight easy, just let Yura tank, use the weapon art and a few r1s). Talk to Yura again then go back to the closest blue symbol and teleport to the other gate. Run straight to the lift and head up. IMPORTANT: DO NOT REST AT ANY GRACES IN ALTUS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SKIP QUESTLINES! I can confirm that if you don't rest at any graces then Rya will remain in Liurnia, Blaidd with stay in the Mistwood and brother Corhyn won't leave the hold which I assume means none of their quests have progressed. Resting at a grace in Volcano Manor is fine though. It's not worth trying to fight Eleonora, she will one shot you instantly with dragonroar or dragonflame. This makes trying to knock her off the edge difficult too. Instead, (I recommend looking before fighting her, even on another character already in Altus) there's a spot on the cliffs behind the church where you can drop to halfway down. Look for the big rock on the cliff's edge, it's just to the right of that. You want to drop onto that ledge and then stand where it's thinnest, to minimize the chance that she will land safely. I unequipped all my gear too. Once you're ready go into the church, pay your respects to Yura by looting his corpse. Wait just outside for Eleonora to spawn (wait until she actually appears). Book it for the cliff, drop down carefully and just wait. She'll spam dragon spells for a bit but you should be safe. I got it first time, but everyone's luck is different. Eventually she'll jump down and die. Tada! Enjoy your poleblade at base level and intact questlines.
