Envoy's Long Horn is a Great Hammer (Warhammer) in Elden Ring. The Envoy's Long Horn scales primarily with Strength, Faith, and Dexterity. Despite being an instrument it is primarily used to bludgeon foes, and with exception to its unique skill Bubble Shower, it has long reach for its class.

Long golden horn of the Oracle Envoys. Profoundly weighty, its blows are sure to be felt.

Originally an instrument, but one that cannot be sounded by a mere human. Or perhaps it is too early to sound the call.

I have always assumed this weapon and its counter parts were a reference to Earthworm Jim 2's Bubble Gun. FS love their quirky references.

Took me half an hour of farming with base stats in arcane. Just use some talismans/physic to wield a big bonk weapon and you'll get it eventually.

        • Anonymous

Holy damage is usually not great against major bosses. But most annoying enemies are vulnerable to this weapon. It's worthy to farm this as soon as possible after reaching the capital.

          • Anonymous

Very funny weapon and incredibly strong against big bosses but also pretty useful to farm those giant dragonflies at the heart of Aeonia in Caelid since they have a hard time evading the bubbles.

            • Anonymous

The most weirdly effective mating call in Tarnished history, given how often I end up taking the musician from behind moments later. Leave this one at home for pvp, folks.

              • Anonymous

Just got one within 10 mins of getting to Haligtree, on a Str build with no investment in Arcane. Wasn't even trying to farm it. lol gg scrubs

my greatest achievement in this game is getting the last hit on elden beast as a summon. made the ugliest looking character, fully naked, and just spammed the doot doot

                  • Anonymous

A presume the weapon skill is not compatible with the rotten winged insignia or Millicent's prothesis. That would just be overkill.

                    • Anonymous

It's also really good as far as great hammers go. Long, quick, doesn't weigh a ton, but still hits like a truck.

The absurdly strong ash of war just overshadows the rest of it's qualities.

Maxed arcane, silver mask, marikas soreseal, oath of vengeance, silver pickle foot, silver scarab talisman. All for a chance for something to "drop" what i can see it currently holding in its hand and beating the **** out of me with. Bro just chop off the arm grab the horn and call it a day but nahhh that's too easy

not to be The Mimic Guy but I'm totally gonna be the mimic guy right now. Summoned mimic tear, build absolutely optimized for the horn (mostly faith btw!), turned Godskin Duo into a fine powder. The poor guys couldn't even get into their second phases before getting disintegrated, 10/10 would recommend. doot doot.

                          • One of the absolute strongest 'big enemy' killers in the game, even against those with good amounts of holy negation. I did some testing against Placidusax because he's massive and these are my findings:

At point blank range, the Bubble Shower skill hits around 12 times against very large enemies, and up to 16 times if you actually back up around 10-15 feet (3-5 meters or so). Against Placidusax, who has a holy negation of 40%, the Bubble Shower skill did the following damage at base weapon requirements:

+0 Weapon: 9 damage per bubble, 108 total if 12 hits, or 144 if 16 hits
+1 Weapon: 19 damage per bubble, 228 total if 12 hits, or 304 if 16 hits
+2 Weapon: 33 damage per bubble, 396 total if 12 hits, or 528 if 16 hits
+3 Weapon: 47 damage per bubble, 517 total if 12 hits, or 752 if 16 hits
+4 Weapon: 62 damage per bubble, 744 total if 12 hits, or 992 if 16 hits
+5 Weapon: 78 damage per bubble, 936 total if 12 hits, or 1248 if 16 hits
+6 Weapon: 95 damage per bubble, 1140 total if 12 hits, or 1520 if 16 hits
+7 Weapon: 111 damage per bubble, 1332 total if 12 hits, or 1776 if 16 hits
+8 Weapon: 125 damage per bubble, 1500 total if 12 hits, or 2000 if 16 hits
+9 Weapon: 141 damage per bubble, 1692 total if 12 hits, or 2256 if 16 hits
+10 Weapon: 158 damage per bubble, 1896 total if 12 hits, or 2528 if 16 hits

Once again these stats are at bare minimum faith requirements for the weapon, and with absolutely no buffs or Wondrous Physick usage. It also bears mentioning that Elden Ring and most Fromsoft games have enemy 'defense' values in addition to negation values, just like the player. These defense values are flat reductions to damage that are removed prior to negation % decreases, and these steadily climb on a per zone basis as the game goes on, but player damage generally well outpaces it. This flat reduction in damage dealt is why 'low damage, large number of hits' spells/attacks/ashes like Crystal Barrage feel so bad in the early game relative to other spells, but great later on, because your scaling hasn't had a chance to outpace this reduction yet. Large single hits are good early, whereas 'shotgunning' skills excel in the late-game.

With that aside out of the way, let's get back to some numbers:

At +10, we deal 158 damage per bubble against old Pladcidusax at base weapon reqs (18 faith). At 25 Faith we deal 175, at 50 we deal 230, and at 80 we deal 256. Add in Shard of Alexander and this number goes to 294. Add in Sacred Scorpion Charm and is jumps to 330. Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear spikes it up to 396. Envoy Crown at 454. Finally we can add the boost from Golden Vow (which there's no reason not to use considering we're already invested into Faith), and it hits an incredible 522 damage *per bubble*. You can of course boost this even further with stuff like self-bleed + Lord of Blood's Exultation, Howl of Shabriri etc, but I generally limit myself to around max 2 buffs (or maybe more if I'm a support charcter in co-op) and a Physick.

No matter how you slice it, dealing 8,352 damage in a single horn blow against a pretty endgame boss with 40% holy negation is pretty darn impressive in my book. Also the stance-breaking capability is immense, and you can stance-break Placidusax (who has 160 poise) in just 2 uses, and easily finish him off in just 2 more while he's down for the count.

                            tl;dr doot doot good

So how did the people lucky enough to be graced by fromsoft acquire this thing? Ive been farming for well over an hour and have gotten 5 FIVE! small horns (which have HALF(2%)) the drop rate as the longhorn (4%) makes literally zero sense. Ive ran it well over 25 times now, only killing one big and small bubble head each time, so statistically speaking, i should have 10 long horns. but i have a whopping 0... wtf...

                              • Anonymous

Ive been trying to get this for over an hour now. I got 4, COUNT EM FOUR! of the small horns, which have HALF the drop rate as this while only killing one of each bubble head each run. I know in this world coffins float and chopping off limbs make you stronger but cmon this ACTUALLY makes zero sense. i just wanna be a bubble blowing baby but this damn gym whistle aint cutting it

Dropped by one of the small envoys in the capital, the 3 by the golden seed tree, but randomly dropped after I killed that trio a hundred times.

Unironic 10/10 weapon, legitimately tears large bosses like dragons and Ulcerated Tree Spirits to shreds.

This could have benefitted from a different moveset. They slow spinning strikes the envoy's perform would have been cool.

if you are post capital of ash, the easiest way to farm at haligtree is use gravitas to pull them in to keep them from falling off the edge

Why do people who do holy damage only runs never use the weapon art on this thing? It is phenomal against large bosses, even Elden Beast

                                            • Amazing tool for pve, with the Envoy Crown, the "Sacred Scorpion" and "Alexander Shard" talismans it is possible to do up to 5000dmg with the skill.
(fun note: Using the "Arrow Reach" talisman change the direction of the attack)

So I am running a 70 dex 40 faith 23 str build this gets 805 ar one handed at 10+ which is not the optimized stats. but when I changed it to 70strength 70 faith and min dex req it gets 905 two handed. only a 100 ar difference which doesn’t seem like that much considering I went from a build that had its worst scaling stat mained to a build that took its main stats much beyond my level on a build calculator. Is this because the scaling drops off at like 50 or something for strength and faith?

                                                • Anonymous

This thing can absolutely melt bosses. I just beat Fire Giant with it super quick and only upgraded it to +7. Borderline OP so let's hope it never gets nerfed!

                                                  • Anonymous

Alot of weapons are super useful in PvE, but this weapon ranks among the top of those category.

It's not enough that it's one of the longest Great Hammer, the WA shoots out uninterrupted wide arc bubbles that can be very useful against mobs and simply decimates larger enemies if you cast it at a close range like shotgun pellets. Trolls, Giants, Dragons, you name it. They're all going down once you get the opening for the WA.

Way better than the Colossal counterpart that's shorter and also only shoots one big bubble, definitely one of those weapon that wins you the game once you get it.

                                                    • Anonymous

This weapon seems to be useful for PVE, but not in PVP statwise.

At least it is very long. Great weapon nonetheless (get it? ok I'll stop).

                                                      • Anonymous

Use the Cranial Vessel Candlestand in place of this for bosses like Radabeast and Maliketh, similar requirements but does Fire damage instead of Holy

I won't lie, I struggled with Placidusax for a while since I was running an (almost) pure STR/DEX build and he just melted me with his aimbot lightning bolts punishing my greedy attacks. Decided to pick this up, bumped it to +9, won on the first try. This thing is a straight up "I win" button vs dragons. If you value good boss fights, don't use this, it takes the fun away unless you enjoy melting a dragons HP bar.

Forget a complex setup with wonderous physick, buffs and whatnot.
This weapon ash is the certified dragon killer. Tested and it easily staggered and killed Placidusax, Ekzykes, Lanseax, Fortisax, Adula.

The buffing and physick can help of course, too. But drastic respec is necessary. Well maybe if you started with prisoner but I also tested with minimal requirements, talismans and clothing. It still killed them

But... don't you dare step into Maliketh's arena with this... ting... it will be your doom. Whoever won with this weapon against maliketh without summons or a player is a a true doot champion.

                                                                  • Anonymous

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

With all the buffs stacked this thing turns any giant enemy into a bullseye for damage! Glad to see From hasn't touched this yet, and I hope it stays that way. When it comes to PVP the bubbles are easy to dodge and there are far worse ashes that need tweaking.
