Fire Monk Hood protect the player's head by applying various defensive properties, it also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.

- 5 seconds east of Eastern Tableland site of grace in east Liurnia of the Lakes.

Actually a bit of hidden lore that can be found in the code is that the Fire Monks have an initiation ritual where new monks dawn their garb and dip their hoods in Cheeto Dust.

Why'd they have to add the god-awful rust texture on it? The blackflame monk hood is unrusted and looks much better.

The hood has floppy cloth physics. Looks cool with a number of different robes
These don't seem to drop in Liurnia. Either that or the drop rate is woeful. I got 4 of every other armour piece and 2 maces before I gave up, this is with 208 discovery.
