Seems like these type of items aren't downscaled at all because I just got one-shot with this on low lvl pvp

For anyone looking for what I believe is the best way to farm mushrooms and butterflies simultaneously: In Altus Plateau, start from the Sealed Tunnel bonfire. Head out and hop on your horse as soon as you can. There's 2 mushrooms directly ahead from the tunnel, and three more in total on your way through the watery valley north to the spiritspring where you can jump and immediately on the cliff you will find a field with fire slugs and many smoldering butterflies. What's nice about this route is that you can also grab some Altus Bloom, Golden Rowa, and even one Bloodrose right at the foot of the spiritspring next to the 5th mushroom. You will get more smouldering butterflies here than mushrooms, so you'll probably still want to fill out on mushrooms by using the Agheel lake south bonfire with the 2 mushroom spawns.

Fire pots againat erdtree avatars, even in late game, are a warcrime.

Fire pots, among most other consumables, destroy things in the early game (Godrick and everything before him), and can even help low level players hit enemies one step above them. In PvP at level 35, you can two-shot players who aren't above 20 vigor. Yes, you do have to hit with the pot still, but nobody expects the 340 damage fire pot, and 30 damage throwing knife chip damage. Even still, you'd be crazy to sleep on fire pots when playing solo when they can one-hit a lot of enemies and mega chunk others.

Much stronger after the buff, I only have like 20 Str and these hit for like 350 on some enemies.
