Fire Prelate Armor is a Chest Armor in Elden Ring. Fire Prelate Armor is part of the Fire Prelate Set Armor Set. It is a very heavy set with high physical defense, fire defense, and poise. It is worn by the Fire Prelates. Fire Prelate Armor is an armor piece worn over or around the player's torso to obtain an increase of defense and resistance. It also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders, but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Black iron armor adorned with a red cloth.
Attire of the Fire Prelates, commanders of the Fire Monks.
The weighty frames of the Prelates symbolized the onus of their grave vows as guardians of the flame. "Etch this sight upon thine breast. Of my thunderous gravity."

With discovery at 317 at Giant Catacombs it probably took about 20 tries to get the full armor set. Didn’t get the thorn whip to drop.
Happy to have the set for some of the more pesky fire enemies

another location is by giants' mountaintop catacombs. that one also drops the thorned whip so unless you already have it you might as well farm that one so you can get the whip too

Somebody gotta increase the drop rate for this armor. I killed him 45 times now and only got gauntlets and legs. What the heck.

In a single drop I got the arms, legs, and chest. 5th try. Base arcane no modifiers.

3 Helm 2 Gloves 2 Pants 2 Whips and still no body piece. Fighting this mob so many times makes me wonder why the player whip move-set is so boring when they get such an annoying, versatile one.

Can also be dropped by the whip wielding prelate watching over the bridge by Giant’s Mountaintop Catacombs

been farming for an hour with 220 item discovery. Still nothing.
Takes a lot of work to be this fat.

Ohey, I'll finally be able to cosplay as myself.
I need to do something about my weight. Clearly the answer is playing more Elden Ring.

Be sure to use a silver foot when farming this. The drop rate is pretty rare-ish at 9 arcane + the silver foot.

Red one also drops from the guy before the big bridge at the start of the level

The altered version dropped in Fort Laiedd has different stats, notably must less poise

does the same prelate at for laiedd drop this? he seems to drop the altered torso but not this. bad luck on drops or is there a different location?
RNG is kicking my ass on this one. Farming the prelate at Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs. 9 helmets, 6 gloves, 10 legs, 2 whips. Zero armour.
