Fire Prelate Greaves is a Leg Armor in Elden Ring. Fire Prelate Greaves is part of the Fire Prelate Set Armor Set. It is a very heavy set with high physical defense, fire defense, and poise. It is the armor worn by the Fire Prelates. Fire Prelate Greaves protect both of the player's legs and feet by applying various defensive properties. They also change the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
A hidden property of this set of foot armor is that it allows you to run in shallow rot and lava. Full running speed can be obtained in the Lake of Rot using these greaves.
Black iron greaves with the appearance of flames.
Attire of the Fire Prelates, commanders of the Fire Monks.
The weighty frames of the Prelates symbolized the onus of their grave vows as guardians of the flame. "Etch this sight upon thine breast. Of my thunderous gravity."

Massively underrated greaves. Tryhards won’t use anything other than Radahn/Bull goat/Veteran and memers focused only on its chest counterpart, but true Elden bling players and those looking for an actual innovative build will not miss out this.

Some armor sets magically remove the massive kneepads on these so you get a thin but high poise piece of gear.

So I went hunting for these after reading about running in lava/rot, but once I got them and tried it, found that it doesn't work. where are people having success running with these? I tried the lava over by fort Laiedd and I could not run at all.

Wearing these allows your character to run on lava without slowing down, although you still take damage.

I was finally rewarded with a pair of Greaves after an hour's painful grinding at Fort Laedd. It looks fantastic on my Blackstar Sorceror build paired with the Prelate gauntlets and the Black Raven cloak

I've noticed that with chest pieces that cover some part of your lower body these change into a less thicc variant that looks really good with more thin characters.

Been sportin these and the gauntlets with Raging Wolf Armor (altered) and Commoner's Headband (altered).

Good for adding Poise (and grace?) to otherwise poise-less (and graceless) armor.

I've noticed with these & Lionel's greaves that if you equip a chest piece with a coat or something else that covers the legs, the greaves have a smaller, less bulky design, but they retain the same defensive values

Out of all the games I’ve played in my life these gotta be one of the greatest boot designs I’ve ever seen.

Fort Laiedd. Park at Seethwater Terminus Site of Grace. Torrent past everything but the monk by the door. Kill him. Sneak inside fort. Rock Sling Prelate from range. Repeat until gauntlets / greaves drop. Took me 5 tries, one gauntlet, two greaves. Arcane 20 with Silver Scarab / PC offline.

Anyone know where this can drop, I've tried farming a couple of the Fire Prelates for couple hours but cannot get the greaves.

They can change shape with certain chest armour i.e. Raptor’s Black Feathers. They become thinner.
These greaves plus the Knight Helmet, Ronin's Armor and Vagabond Knight Gauntlets makes for a great 'Wanderer' look. Been rocking it for a good while now. (Ronin's Armor removes the kneepads)
