Base Game
FARMING LOCATIONS
- Church of Elleh: Travel directly west, killing Eagles along the way, until you reach a cliff. Safely drop down onto the square-shaped ruin to find six Guillemots, then continue down the cliffs to the west to reach another square-shaped ruin with seven Eagles. Continue northwest along the beach to find more birds. Use ranged attacks to prevent them from flying away.
- Below the Well Site of Grace in Siofra River: Turn around, kill 4 eagles on the right, 2 eagles on the left, then walk back to the grace. Use ranged or AOE attacks.
- Starcaller Cry and Devourer of Worlds are the best weapon skill to farm here. Gravitas range is too small and deals inconsistent damage. Most other AoEs have the problem of blowing the bodies off the cliff. They also scare away the other Eagles around you.
- The second best option is a Bow, because it doesn't scare away any other birds. (unlike Crossbows and Magic)

There's a good farming spot in SOTE, go to Cerulean Coast Cross and on the cliff right behind that site of grace three eagles are sitting. Use Flame, Fall Upon Them incantation so you can kill all of them in one move. Fast and easy.
- Anonymous
Go to Mimic Tear site of grace
Bring bow+regular arrows
Lock-on birds on left and right, pew pew
16 hawks dead in 1 minute
20+ pinions

Go to fissure depths site of grace in the DLC (before fighting putrescent knight). its almost as if fromsoft intentionally put all those sleeping animals there so we could farm them.

Running heavy attack with 2h perfume bottle gets the job done for Below the Well 6x farm.
- Anonymous
There's a bunch of sleeping animals literally in front of the Fissure Depths Site of Grace (Above St Trina/Putrescent Knight) you can Wave of Gold with the Sacred Relic Sword to get these faster than any other method. Put on Silver Scarab Talisman for double pinion drops. Should be a bell bearing but oh well. Mod pls add this to the page cos ima forget about it lol.

You get 5 eagles in the the Fissure Depths Site of Grace. Easily farm 3-5 at a time. The best part is, they won't fly away cause they are sleeping...

If you have the DLC, the Cerulean Coast Cross site of grace is probably the best place to farm. There are three respawning eagles directly to the southeast, and the walk is very short

I can't believe you still can't buy these infinitely in the DLC. Why does From hate archers?
- Anonymous
A quick note for everyone mentioning farming tips - you never have to go back to the grace, its almost always faster to teleport back to the grace you just left even if you're only a short distance away
- Anonymous
The best spot for these imo is at the great bridge site of grace before redmane castle.
There are 3 birds directly at the grace making it a hot spot for farming.
- Anonymous
I hate this, why can't they just let some merchant sell it infinitely or give us the ability to buy after killing bell bearing hunter. Really don't want to farm in a souls game
- Anonymous
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, uh, your pinion, man.

A nice little farming spot early on is near the first merchant in liurnia. 3 squirrels and 3 birds very close to the grace plus a mushroom and a fire butterfly, just need a bow. Good for fire arrows and pots.
- Anonymous
For me is the four belfries, 3 birds right in front of the grace to get with a bow

Everyone has their place, but the 6 eagles at Below The Well work for me. They're about 30 feet from the Site, and a single bone arrow in each does the trick in 30 seconds or less.

I've tried out most of the farming options in this comment section and by far the most efficient is the Four Belfries farming option. This is tripled in speed if you have Mohg's spear, just cast ctrl once and loot the items. Since that might be a late game item for most, Lightning Spear + Four Belfries is still the best option.

Divine Tower of Limgrave:
x16 Eagles
x3 Stormhawks (bladeless)
Go down the elevator and send it back up, use Black Bow to easily kill Stormhawks, then Barrage the rest. Go back to the grace to rinse and repeat.
There are more eagles than I listed, but they are on railings that you can't usually get on to harvest the materials.

Near the exit out of Siofra River Well, there are 6 Eagles near the site of grace (4 on the right cliff edge, 2 on the left close by). I used Hoarfrost Stomp to wipe them out.

I think the best spot is at Murkwater Coast with 3 eagles. Jump up, cast glintstone arc, drop down, repeat. 3 eagles every 15 seconds or so in one shot. Sure beats running up and down the coast shooting them one at a time with a bow.

My personal farming location is the four bellfries grace. There's 3 eagles right next to the grace so you can just kill them, rest, and rinse & repeat.
For efficient farming I'd recommend using bow or a throwing knife. This way, the birds won't run away after you kill 1.
Best farming location: Below The Well site of grace. 6 birds are immediately within range of an unfletched arrow. One shot kill, and the others won't take off. 60+% drop rate, so I usually skip the silver fowl foot. Best of luck!

There is that ONE area in Stormveil Castle with a crap ton of Eagles in one spot but if you don’t have some type of AOE attack, your not killing the vast majority of them. It’s the exact area where you get the Claw Talisman. It’s tedious going back and forth from the Grace to the spot, but at least you won’t be getting 1 or two Flight Pinions flat out.

I just want 4 toed fowl feet but get 3x of these that i never once use

Farming these feathers can be a pain, when you see 3 or 4 birds together but as soon as you kill one all the others all fly away. Not if you use the lightning spear incantation to kill them though, I have no idea why the birds react differently when a bird next to them is killed with the lightning spear, but it makes farming for the feathers a lot less time consuming, on and near the beach west of the church of elleh where there are eagles and guillemots perching in numbers you can kill them all without any of the others flying away, I don't fully charge the lightning spear and I can cast it again and again until I've killed all the birds.

It makes complete sense there's no bell-bearing or merchant for these. You can make unfletched arrows with bones bought in roundtable, which would be redundant if you could also buy feathers for virtually no extra effort - they've just locked a minor bonus behind a bit of extra legwork

Just find a grace that's next to eagles and kill them; repeat. I'm using Crepus's vial at the ailing villiage and I score two eagles per five seconds.
- Anonymous
Rampart Tower grace has 4 stormhawk enemies. They drop stormhawk feathers and pinions and can be cleared in like 15 seconds per run.
- Anonymous
I don't care if they have to add a bell bearing hunter with 20x hp that one hits you regardless of your defense. ADD A BELL BEARING THAT LETS ME BUY THESE
- Anonymous
instead of church of elleh go for first step and go kill every pair of them

Personally I farm using the Godrick's Divine tower location, just down the elevator is a long bridge littered in tons of birds. I take them out with some cheap arrows and snipe them from afar. Though there are about 3-4 actual enemy hawks but it should not be too hard to take them out
- Anonymous
These don't even feel super necessary to me as an archer, if I need the extra range I just use the talisman that increases arrow range, that seems to get the job down most of the time. But I might be wrong, maybe I'm missing out lol
- Anonymous
Not using bows because murdering guillemots depresses me and my sadness bar is already filled after the nth terrible outcome for a friendly NPC.
- Anonymous
I'm in disbelief there are no merchants that sell these
seriously?

So far the best farm I have found for archers.
You go to the isolated merchant's shack spot of grace.
You head up the coast, past the army of zombies, there are a good 10-12 birds there, if you use a silver-pickled fowl's foot you can get a lot of feathers AND the feet back from the fowl's foot.
now, thats a long way to go for feathers and feet, BUT the pickled foot will last longer, so you turn around and head back up the beach and up onto the hill where there are 2 full flocks of sheep which will give an ample amount of Thin Beast Bones.
From there the foot should have worn off, but if you head up between the ruins and to the left you will get to the little ocopus pond that has a bunch of golden fireflies, so you can then use the feet to craft the golden-pickled fowls foot, to get bonus runes for farming those.
Its a longer run then just the Soifia river well one, but it yields alot more resources and can give you a fair amount of arrows with one loop.

Quickest I found was:
Below the Well Grace in the Siofra River. 6 birds parked but meters from the grace and no aggro. not even 10s walk from grace.

"NOTE: Eagles and pinions need to be killed with ranged attacks otherwise they fly away yielding less Flight Pinions."
yeah, using arrows would be a fun idea, wouldn't it?
Divine Tower of Limgrave -> elevator down -> bridge filled with birds
As one of the previous comments suggested: South of the Impassable Greatbridge Grace in Caelid, there are three clumped up birds that drop both Flight Pinion and Four-Toed Fowl Foot. Amazingly fast farm.

Below the well bonfire has 5 eagles, and herbs to sell for more souls

Riding around the cliffs and beaches with Torrent and Glintstone Arc is the way.
-The very first Grace after the tutorial has lots of eagles on the cliffs all around the Grace, and the beach to the west that houses the Coastal Cave has a ton of birds on the Northern Section of the beach, in the safer area between the Northern Mercenary at the far north, and the tentacle monsters in the middle of the beach.
-The Four Belfrys Grace is an excellent spot, just steer clear of the ghost troll.
-Stormhill might be a good spot too, as well as plenty of others I'm sure, just some right at the start.
-Best spot for Thin Animal Bones by far in the later game (besides buying them) is the Craftsmans Shack by the Volcano. 2 Large and 1 small herd of Rams right outside the Grace ready to be cooked with dragonfire or any other long ranging AoE attack to melt a dozen or more beasts in seconds. Just be careful of the couple of Demi-Humans that may or may not be melted as well.
