Flowing Curved Sword is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring. The Flowing Curved Sword scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for high dexterity characters who can excel at slashing attacks while spinning.

Legends speak of a master of the sword garbed in blue, and his curved blade that was patterned after flowing water.
Strong attack unleashes a series of strikes akin to a dance, offering a glimpse into the legend.

Skill favored by dexterous warriors. Slash foes as your body spins. Additional input allows for a follow-up attack.

Consecrated Snowfield: Southwest of the Inner Consecrated Snowfield site of grace two Trolls are pulling a Carriage with a chest containing the Flowing Curved Sword. The Carriage is protected at night by two Night Cavalry. See it on the [Elden Ring Map].

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War
Flowing Curved Sword can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
This weapon has a unique, multi hit, dancing R2 that consists of a double slash. The animation of these R2s blend very smoothly into and out of the Ashes of War Spinning Slash and Sword Dance. The wind up on the charged R2 is strikingly similar to the wind up on Sword dance and could make other players roll preemptively.
Sell Value: 200 Runes.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, poise damage has been reduced, but only for PVP.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below. Additionally, the running attack speed, first attack speed of straight sword has increased. The attack recovery time has also decreased.

  In DLC we can fight him in a Evergaol or dream sequence and get an even Bigger Flowing Sword with a unique Weapon Art, where some movements are similiar to waterfowl, and Water circles around our slashes

  Wait, is it just me or is this weapon made from Unalloyed Gold just like the Hand of Malenia? I suppose it would make sense, given its former owner agreed to tutor her, but perhaps this would help illustrate the timeline. If the Blind Swordsman was given swords of Unalloyed Gold, they would have had to have sealed the God of Rot in the age of King Consort Radagon. This would also prove that Miquella had an active interest in sealing it.

  Okay, disastrously bad stats aside, how did Amy get her hands on this? Why does she even use it? It's the sword that was used to defeat and seal the God of Rot, so why use it when she (at least seems to be) is pro-rot? It could just be a random choice or there could be some interesting lore implications on the choice. We don't know, because Fromsoft put as much effort into the Sisters of Rot (not named Millicent) as Jamie Oliver does into making Asian Food.

  This things heavy is so incredibly bad. The first hit does barely 100 damage, and it doesnt even inflict enough hitstun to land all the hits. Only plus is that if you do get it off, you automatically win due to all the style points.

  I am so sick of completing 80% of this game for the chance to obtain aggressively mid weapons like this and the dragon katana. You can get GUGS, dragon or BK halberd, broadsword, nagakiba, 5 minutes after starting the game, but god forbid late-game locked weapons actually outclass their early game counterparts.

  Ain’t no way am I believing that this sword sealed away an outer god but has A scaling instead of S in dex? It’s a replica sword! Millicents sister “Amy” duel wields these during the Haligtree invasion and the sword calls it a “glimpse into the legend”. Also, the blind swordsman in the prosthesis wearer heirloom appears to be identical in height to Malenia and if that is accurate, (this is speculation) could mean he is a Zamor warrior. Zamor Warriors live for long periods of time, so regardless of how long it’s been since Malenias teachings or the shattering there’s a good chance this guy is alive somewhere. (The Zamor bit is speculation based on height and how they move)
  If he appears in SoTE I hope they give him a damn name

  If this sword had a unique skill, I imagine the skill would be called "blue fairy dance" or "sword masters salute". To bad the sword doesn't give the user scarlet rot resistance since it was used to seal away the god of rot.

  Considering this sword was wielded by the legendary blind swordsman who used it seal away the god of rot, it is surprising that it wasn't made a legendary armament and given a unique skill or at least a different default skill such as "sword dance".

  There are only 3 S-scaling dex weapons in this game and I'm kind of perturbed that this didn't get that. It's patterned off of the sword used by the blue swordsman who's basically THE dex character. The one who literally taught Malenia. I think it should get S with keen+25

  I absolutely detest how every weapon in the game with a multi-hit attack only does useful damage, stance break, and status build-up on just one of the strikes (usually the final one). Would it really have been that hard to at least TRY to balance each of the blows so it doesn't feel like a total waste if the last one happens to get interrupted or miss?

  The r2 chain is a godsend for pvp. It seems impractical but when paired with sword dance it can be used for nice mixups. Its especially good when you have people rolling around you, or trying to maneuver near you. Shorter range than a running l1 or r1 but far less predictable. Put bleed on this & you have a nice status stick. There is nothing to gain from powerstancing these (besides the look i suppose) so keep your seppuku scavengers in your offhand.
  
  The flowing curved sword almost solves the problem curved swords in the current meta have. Yes they are very strong, especially with bleed at high levels, but everyone knows what to expect & how to deal with it. I have way more trouble in pvp using curved swords than my other loadouts. I might just suck but this weapon makes it a little better. It doesnt have the combo power of warhawk talon but its the best you can get (besides beastmans curved sword jumping attacks) if you want something less predictable than running l1s in your playbook.

  I think the carriage you find this from might be from a follower/imitator of the Blue Swordsman, not the actual one since one of our starter classes also seems to take after him, based on the Blue Cloth Set's description

  This is the only funeral carriage I can think of in the Consecrated Snowfield. So, this would suggest that a hero of the Haligtree is being taken there for burial? Is it the Blue Swordsman themself? Likely.
  Also, does this mean that those two Night's Cavalry have defected from Leyndell to join the Haligtree or, are they there on Morgott's orders?

  Woefully purposeless. You trade damage and range for cute-looking but worse R2s. Bandit's curved sword being so much stronger, longer, and only a bit heavier would be fine if it wasn't so ugly and this sword so pretty and cool in concept.

  I love the unique strong attack for this, but I wish it came with a unique moveset for powerstancing too. A bit boring to wield both but only use one in strong attack combo. Fun to throw on the Nox Swordstress outfit and look like a beautiful and deadly sword dancer though.

  Axe Talisman, Endure, Millicents Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Insignia might be a neat set up for the R2. Of course such a set up is not practical or optimal for PvP, and may not be even particularly good for PvE, but still seems like something neat to try out.

  For anyone having trouble grabbing this, the prompt to open the chest wasn't coming up for me. So I massacred the entire caravan including the trolls and then it worked.

  When I first saw this weapon I fell in love. The lore, the unusual design, the unique R2s. I made a new character dedicated to it, and rushed to the consecrated snowfield as quickly as I could. Immediately poured all my smithing stones into the flowing sword. And was disappointed. The R2s are gorgeous, but impractical; even if you hit once, you are unlikely to hit the full attack, which will do less damage than just pressing R1. And compared to other curved swords, its numbers are low.
  
  I ended up switching to Zamor curved sword instead, which also has unique attacks that are impractical, but not as bad. Sigh. Maybe I'll give the flowing sword another try, but it was a really tough weapon to love.

  Top 5 weapons for a late game bleed build, the powerstance jump attack hits 4 times and builds 4x the status, don't sleep on this it can apply bleed in one jump attack without seppuku as they are bleeding for 115 with 70 arcane you can get 460 bleed build up every jump attack, and the jump attack comes out wicked fast with the first 2 of the four hits. 10/10 weapon to use for applying status (can also sleep/rot grease on keen/quality/heavy)

  Ill be honest, wish it didnt look like a bottle opener or curved ruler lmao. Maybe more "Windy" ? Hell, maybe a magical look to it off a Fae motif thats see-through like how the Coded sword is made of script?

  Not sure how I feel about this weapon. On one hand it has by far my favorite looking charged attack, but at the same time it's far too slow for the amount of damage it does, it's almost impossible to get the second charge attack off because pretty much every enemy recovers and attacks before you can get it off. It's standard light attacks do good damage and it has pretty good scaling as well, but it's secondary attack is honestly just style over functionality, I'd rather just stick to something like the mantis blade even though I love the style of the weapon.

  Tried to snatch it from the Caravan but the attacks from the two riders destroyed the carvan at once, I managed to scape to the site of grace and reset, but then the chest wasn't there anymore

  I think this is the sword of the mentor of Malenia which is mentioned in the DEX Talisman. The Talisman says that she found herself afer meeting her mentor who taught her how to swordfight, and it makes sense that he defeated a Rot Deity. I'm pretty sure we'll meet this guy in a DLC in a Lady Maria-like fight

  The blue dancer charm talks about the legend of a fairy who gave a blinds swordsman a flowing sword, blade in hand they sealed away an ancient God that was Rot itself. This is probably said sword.
  
  And then the map fragment for the Lake of Rot says the divine essence of an outer God is sealed away down there.
