Forked Greatsword is a Greatsword in Elden Ring. The Forked Greatsword scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and has one of the most distinctive looks in the game.

Oddly shaped greatsword wielded by imps.

The gently undulating forked blade is known as an "imp's tongue" and causes blood loss.

  I was a Only Claymore player, and all what I did was to use Bleed Claymore + 25 with Spin Slash or Giant Hunt.
  
  One day, after using her with Spin Slash, her blade started to undulate...
  
  And once I used Giant Hunt, her tip broke and opened in two tips...
  
  And when I still forced her on the use, she broke...

  Unlike the Flamberge, I believe Forked Greatsword has the overhead smash 1HR2 that the majority of greatswords have. That particular move is really nice for catching other players trying to jump attack you, or perhaps hitting a dragon's head. So this weapon DOES have something going for it compared to Flamberge.

  This weapon is 1 Miyazaki lighter BUT it also can be farmed for dual-wielding and if you do it, it's 2 extra points of weight. Now that seems like not much but it is better for low-level characters, for those who progress the game naturally (farming spot is much earlier than redmane) and most importantly for people who have low END. Not to mention the fashion, that thing looks SICK especially with buffs.

  This weapon gets more hate than it deserves. It just needs like a 5% damage buff to be better balanced compared to the flamberge. I think the damage might just be a little under what it should be given the lower weight and range, but still works great for a power stance greatsword bleed build.
  Plus putting lightning on this just feels so cool and thematic. Pairs well with my cold flamberge.

  The only purpose of this sword is to make your skin dull grey, put on the imp helmet and this sword with nothing else. Become the Imp and invade catacombs. Throw pots, gank with your fellow imps, lure hosts into fire traps, trigger blood loss and generally be very annoying.

  Don't do what I did and try to make use of this thing. It's horrible and has no upside. It's short. Lowest base AR of all infusable Greatswords. At 9 units is has same weight as many others. Critics will say "Oh, but it has added bleed". Bleed buildup on Greatswords in general is not that good. to inflict bleed it's better to use a quicker weapon, but that's beside the point. This weapon occult infused has miserable damage output and, even with the bleed boost, a mediocre bleed applicator at best. If you want bleed, infuse another greatsword with bleed and get same buildup with added damage and range. If you want damage, infuse another, and litterally any other, greatsword with occult.
  
  The only benefit this weapon has is that it's very uncommon. Fashion points sure for the hipster. Nobody uses it for a reason.
  
  It's trash. It's too late to complain about why it could be better. It could be lighter and take less stamina to swing, liked the forked hatchet. But no, it's just an ornament. A useless trinket.

  Shame we didn't get the one that the Imps actually wield- the one they're holding is actually curved (one of the prongs is in line with the curve, the other one is offset behind it) and there's no low requirement curved greatsword. This would have actually filled a niche then, since as of right now it's beaten out in almost every way by the Flamberge, though at the very least you can dual wield these in one NG cycle. Would have been especially cool if it had a strong attack similar to that of the Iron Cleaver, since that's how the Imps use it.

  with 20 ARC, silver scarab and silver pickled foot it dropped for me in road's end catacomb on the seventh run. The drop rate may be low but I got this a hell of a lot faster than the fanged imp head. I haven't had so much as a sniff at one of those through my whole playthrough.

  I've never seen this drop in any catacomb where the imps use them and I've only seen one player using it. They were one of the players who had put a gold sigil down outside Malenia's fog door. So if this player was confident enough to use it against Malenia it can't be that bad surely?

  This is outclassed by the flamberge in most cases (range, base damage, scaling) so unless you already have the flamberge and wanna powerstance bleed greatswords, you're trying to collect all the weapons, or just want this one for fashion or something, it's easier and better to take a trip to Castle Redmane and pick up the free flamberge sitting on the walls.

  I love how the silver pickled feet are absolutely useless since the effect disappears when you rest at a grace. The weapons people farm have drop chances lower than the fall into the Abyss in DS1 and the most efficient locations contain only a small amount of the specific creature.

  Is the Flamberge better? Yes, in pretty much all cases. But this isn't worse in EVERY way. First, it's obtainable immediately, without having to beat Radahn. There's nothing wrong with weapons that are meant to be obtained later being better. Second, it's a point lighter, but very comparable damage. The damage difference is only going to matter on bosses or enemies with very high health/defense; everything else should be dying in 2-3 hits no matter which sword you are using. Third, perhaps most interestingly: there's definitely room for exploring how thrusting ashes of war are on this. Given it has two far spaced tips, thrusts have a much greater horizontal range. This is also worth noting in regular attacks - due to the way the spacing works, the flamberge will be able to hit further targets directly in front, however the forked gs has increased range at oblique angles and behind, ever so slightly.
  
  These factors alone aren't likely enough to justify using it over the flamberge... but you know what is? Fashion. This thing looks weird, and I love it. My sword has two points, that's one more than urs therefore boom i win

  somehow got 2 of the heads and a few smithing stones off the guy in Road's End Catacombs before even one of these swords dropped. if only the rest of the heads dropped like that

  while similar i think the main difference between this and the flamberge is the moveset. fork uses the bastard sword moveset while flamberge uses the standard greatsword moveset.

  This is exactly the style I was looking for. The prongs are not too rigid; they have some flex to them and they are the right length 12" for stove top cooking. They are not flat; there is a curve to the prongs. So this weapon is perfect for stirring food in a skillet. They easily get to the food in the bottom edges of the skillet and bring it out for proper stirring and heating. These are the ones you can't find in any stores. If you want a straight, rigid fork that can stab a steak and turn it over, this weapon is not for you. The weapon does, however, work well in hard-coat pans and skillets as they won't scratch the surface. They work great for stirring any food in a skillet like turning over shrimp scampi, noodles, scrambled eggs, stir-fry type frozen meals, etc.

  I can't really see a reason to use this over the Flamberge. Flamberge has higher scaling, higher base damage, and the same bleed stats and moveset. I think you'd really only use this as a powerstance combo with a right handed Flamberge since you can only get one Flamberge per ng. Only advantage this has is slightly lower weight, but not by much.

  Best spot to farm is in East Liurnia, Road's End Catacombs (the one right near the Minor Erdtree). First enemy right after the grace, takes only a few seconds.

  Pretty sure any Imp that wields it can drop this sword. It has a Bastard Sword Moveset. Pretty good option for a non slash bleed weapon. I have used it a little while I was levelling.
