Just came to mind, why don't Formic Rocks replenish? They're crystalized lumps of acid which the ants seem to use as a fecal form of attack, so they should really replenish all the same as the other Excrements whenever resting at a grace.

They're not even a blue rarity item or anything, makes little sense.

Am I the only one who really wonders why u can find these in the Mountaintops?? I'd love to know how they got all the way up there

I’d rather use shriek of Milo’s or Greyoll’s roar to apply a power shred buff than farm these for the perfume.

Holy sht. What's with the drop rate of a none respawning material of the weakest spraymist. Golem Greatarrows having sht drop rate is slightly acceptable for how powerful it is. This one doesn't have any reason to be.

I really would like the chart to be corrected as it refers to a "Giant Ant Queen" but this is an unlisted enemy in the giant ant page. There seem to be 2 different takes on the name of the creature that drops the rock for a 5% chance.

I think the easiest way I have found is to go to Great Waterfall Crest in Deeproot, go south and have something with a big aoe to nuke the two big head ants and recall to the sog and repeat. I have been using Burn, O Flame! on the character that needs them but I feel like mogwyn spear with an arcane build would do the trick too (you can always burn two larval tears to get 99 for max discovery and damage scaling for the moment). I suggest that you have at least 200 discovery. I end up with 245 with my setup using fowl feet. The farm is kind of tedious but you can definitely avert your attention and do other things riding there and on load screens. If you want to make the most of the fowl feet, you can just ride the horse back so you get more uses but I think its worth it to just burn them for one chance at scoring and then warping.

This game is really terrified of letting us have enough materials to consistently craft the perfume items

Don't know this is a bug but doesn't 4x to craft acid spraymist a bit much for a resource that doesn't seem to respawn.

                    • Unfortunately these do not seem farmable from ants realistically. All kills were done with 274 item discovery, 99 arcane and the talisman.

Ainsel River Well Depths grace, 198 kills, 2 formic rocks, 1.01% drop rate
Deeproot depths grace the flying ants specifically, 168 kills, 2 formic rocks, 1.19% drop rate
366 total kills, 4 formic rocks, 1.09% drop rate

I gave up after it being so bad and one of those rocks got stuck on the wall from the ants dropping down, wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this one sadly.

These can drop very rarely from giant ants in the Ainsel River area. Good since the Formic Rock in the world doesn't seem to respawn, much like Trina Lillie's and Aeonian Butterflies. Emphasis on low drop rate. With 50 base Arcane, +8 Arc Mimic Helm, +50 Discovery Silver Foot (no Silver Scarab for +75 Discovery yet) a dozen runs of Dragonfire upon the 5 wall hanging ants visible from the first Ainsel River Grace yielded all of 1 Formic Rock.
