Ghiza's Wheel is a Colossal Weapon in Elden Ring. The Ghiza's Wheel scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for dealing  a great amount of Physical Damage, but would require Great Strength to handle as well. This weapon has a unique skill where it can be set to spin at top speed even while moving.

Great iron wheel lined with flesh-flaying blades. Device of torture used by Inquisitor Ghiza. As the wheel spins it causes severe pain and blood loss.

The design was adopted for use as the iconic weapon wielded by Iron Virgins.

Since this weapon works better one handed it pairs very well with a bleed infused dagger to compensate for the slow moveset (Bloodstained Dagger has the best appearance but Wakizashi has slightly better damage)

The guy below is right, and I've never been so happy to follow advice on fextra. After many hours of playing around and optimizing at a mere 120 and then 137, Ghiza's Wheel has easily become maybe my favourite weapon in the game.

It's unique, it's weird, it's got a special flare to it. It has all kinds of synergy; the only thing it approaches being weak to are enemies that can't be bled, and even then, with the right talismans, it STILL has more than enough raw damage to make, say, Kindreds a walk in the park. The only enemies it can't fully hold up against are Crystallians, but they're rare, and once they're shattered they're helpless.

The fact that some people are content to just use this thing as an L2 stick with Alexander shard is absolutely tragic. Axe Talisman, Milicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Sword Insignia, and LoB's Exultation. Swig a Physik built for multihits and charged attacks, use FlameGrant. Against the Haligtree Knights immediately outside of that one Elphael grace, the initial hit does 348, then 624, 955, then we jump up to 2311 with the last multihit. The next charged R2 does 357, 894, then 1702, and the final hit climbs up to 4259. After going over it in slow mo I'm pretty sure the blade was still spinning as the knight died, but maybe both R2s in the chain have 4 hits.

I didn't even manage to BLEED that guard. Those guys are my go-to damage and practicality test for any build and it literally kills them too fast to test the optimal conditions.

I can't tell you exactly what 'stage' my various multihit talismans are at when it hits, but about 4 seconds later, I land another fully charged r2 on the other knight. 537, 1074, ,1882, 4439. Yes, that's 4.4k damage on the FIRST charged R2, and the third one overall. The knight literally died in a single hit. Not even a 120 Ordovis build does that.

AND THAT KNIGHT STILL DIDN'T PROC BLEED. I was still missing 30% of my potential maximum damage output for a theoretical second swing, to say nothing of the bleed proc itself!

Absolute monster of a weapon. Fun to use, fun to build around, and it has a ton of synergy you wouldn't think of. Just roaming around? Want a new weapon for a NG run? Take this weapon, Taker's Cameo, swaddling cloth, and just R2 everything to death. I promise you'll out trade anything short of the most endgame of endgame bosses, and you'll never need to worry about healing again, even without using Malenia's rune.

there are a few people commenting this is a good weapon, but the reason its good both pve and pvp is the one handed moveset. because it has c scaling you don't gain much damage two-handing it. the uncharged and charged 1 handed heavies unique property deals 250% and 350% of the 70 bleed.
            (245) and (315) respectfully.

whats better both versions of 1handed charged attack will stun long enough for a light attack follow up, which is another 70 bleed as well as hitting them. landing a heavy will proc both multihit and maybe blood exhalation charms with free hyper armor.

but most people with a brain wont run at you unless they have an AoW to hyper armor and one shot you with so using its other moves is strongly recommend, being one handed you use magic to force them in as well. or have a shield so you can run in circles guarding without getting stuck in turn animation to whiff punish or parry

and for pve... well everything dies from this that can bleed, the end

Nothing this silly should be as effective as it is.

              One might even say...

              ...wheelie effective.

Forget about the weapon skill. Any situation that would feel ideal to use it, like 2nd stage of Fire Giant, is also an ideal situation to just spam charged heavies.

i think i found my favourite quality weapon, im able to pump out around 2000 damage with a single charged one hand R2. best part is it procs bleed like a monster because the heavy swings dont have nerfed bleed buildup. easily my favourite weapon ive found in my around 200+ hours and i cant believe i havent found it earlier.

Only those who can look past the "weapon art bad" and "haha pizza cutter" drivel can see this weapon for what it truly is: an absolute monster that can deal 900+ damage in pvp unbuffed with just a single uncharged R2, no bleed procs or exploits required -- you play the spiderman 2 meme music in your head, l play the doom eternal meme music in mine; you and l are not the same.

                      • Anonymous

Anyone that says this weapon is bad is just comepletely wrong. Winged sword insignia + Millicents prosthesis, Lord of blood's exulatiton and Axe talisman with the one handed moveset will shred anything that has blood in it.

                        • Anonymous

i believe this weapon should have gotten a black knight greataxe like moveset (for light attacks at the least)

                          • Anonymous

This weapon is genuinely the strongest colossal in the game for PvE, albeit super hard to use. The DPS you can deal with an optimized build around the heavies is pretty ridiculous, and the bleed is strong enough to proc like per charged heavy on a godskin. I also killed Mohg with it before he could even nihil, even while lacking axe talisman, white mask and rotten winged sword insignia (i had the normal winged sword insignia since i had not gotten into NG+ yet). The only things you really NEED to make this thing good are millicent's prosthesis, winged sword insignia and the charged and consecutive hits physick effects. Things like lord of blood's exultation, axe talisman, rotten winged sword and white mask all just make it a lot better. Also worth noting that while it's heavies are capable of insane damage, it basically must be one handed so the first heavy can take advantage of the consecutive hits boost, as when two handed it's just a single hit. The weapon's moveset outside of it's heavies is also pretty mid, and does not do a lot of damage, which makes fights take a lot longer sometimes if you can't really use your heavies. the ash of war can be pretty good even though it is not boosted by consecutive hit boosts, but generally i just use it to have some fun. Also one of the only weapons that is only good on a quality build!

Also, on a side note, it seems like the heavies deal slash damage, as i noticed slash weak bosses like Mohg, Rennala Morgott and Godrick die MUCH faster to it then bosses like Elden Beast or the Gargs. Maybe it's just defense differences though

                            • Anonymous

It should be noted that, while the spinning wheel ash of war will not trigger the multi hit talismans or thorny tear, the other attacks where the wheel spins will

It's a fun weapon until someone use it for a chainsaw glitch, and I can truly say that all glitch users are toxic and loser like
"Oh wow, I invaded and the host ganked me, so I'm gonna use this glitch."
"Oh wow, I'm too stupid to know how to counter that build, so I think it's op meta s*its and I'm gonna use this glitch."
"Oh wow, that guy doesn't fight me the way I want to, so I'm gonna use this glitch."
And now those losers even create their own community where everyone use this glitch to ruin others' enjoyment with these kinds of stupid reason.

The hitbox of the weapon art when you initially jam it into the ground has a stagger level of 0 in PvP, making it way harder to land any of the followup ticks of the spinning wheel.

                                  • Anonymous

The weapon is confusing to me. Its low base damage and bleed makes it seem like they balanced it around the consecutive hit buffs, and yet it isn't even capable of activating them using the weapon art alone.

                                    • Anonymous

Have no idea why bloodhound’s fang is able to be enchanted but not this weapon, where the latter is already worse than the former under most circumstances.

                                      • Anonymous

I wanna know the reasoning behind making the weapon art not trigger prosthesis AT ALL, even though they have specific control over how much hits contribute to a proc. They could have it just take a few seconds of continuous sawing to trigger consecutive hit buffs a single time.

It just felt like they took the whirlygig saw from bb and said, 'Look guys! It's the whirlygig saw! We definitely care about bloodborne still!

if it had a faster moveset like the godslayer gs then i'd understand the low base damage, but no, it has the stock standard slam into the floor moveset with some added spinny bits that do hardly anything for damage

damage is pretty bad compared to most other colossals, the bleed isn't even that great compared to the speed

Bad version of Pizza Cutter from Bloodborne. That weapon is OP like ****. But i have very mixed feelings about this Giza's wheel. It is too slow and clunky. I miss hunter's quicksteps.

1 handing this makes this one of the best weapons in pve. Make a Quality build, use buffs, have millicent prostheses and axe talisman, and you will destroy bosses with ez. Basically becoming a bleed/poise break build without any arcane investment, meaning ur doing pure insane damage + bleed. This makes me feel like im a over level NG+ character due to the sheer amount of damage and bleed build up. Powerful enemies like the omens also get stunned during the smallest tic during the heavy attack, so its great to just spam it or use it when an enemy is charging at u since it will hit them and inflect bleed. Would had been a good weapon if the R2 stunned players like pve enemies but it only stuns them only at the final part of the 1 handed heavy attack. Miyazaki, please just change it to where it can stun players like pve, landing a R2 is already pretty hard when using a colossal so make stop making it even more useless for pvp.

                                                  • Anonymous

The method in which the strong attack hits seems to be wonky. The way people typically describe it, you would think it would be the main body of weapon first followed by the extra spinning hits. However, after going through an entire playthrough with the thing, it seems that the spinning hits take priority followed by the actual strong attack hit. This can be seen with grounded enemies where there's a minor build up of damage followed by a bigger burst (not bleed in this case and can be demonstrated on radagon). Depending on terrain/enemy, this quality sometimes results in strong attacks only registering the extra hits rather than main portion of the attack (i.e., only minor spinning damage instead of actual strong attack damage). Most notable enemies I noticed this issue on were Placidusax and Beast Clergyman. I speculate the issue on Placidusax is due to him having portions of himself not on the ground. I have no idea what's up with beast clergyman.

                                                    • Anonymous

With the extra hits, swaddling clothe has instant proc with (un)charged r2s. It's a pretty fun way to play a drain tank kind of build.

                                                      • Anonymous

I was testing some insanely stupid Malenia strats today and found out this weapon's skill is weirdly good at stunning her. Not anywhere near consistent enough to be worth anything, but enough to be funny. Also if you poke her up close in the first part of Waterfowl Dance, it can bleed proc stun her out of it like the ice pots.

                                                        • Anonymous

If i were to slightly buff it, i'd make the startup animation apply a small AoE of stagger, just like the ringed finger, so if used at point blank it'll combo into a single tick of the ash of war

                                                          • Anonymous

Its not a perfect solution, but you can use the r2 to build up damage with the winged sword insignia and then use the ash of war

its pretty easy to get this weapon very early in the game by getting vored by the teleporting iron maiden in raya lucaria, cheesing the duo boss with lightning bolts, then walking up to the manor. using it on a low level invader build currently

                                                              • I've been having fun with this on my uncapped PvE character. Currently around 79 str and 60 dex and get ~850 1H AR with a little room for growth. 1st charged 1H heavy usually only does about 2k damage, but the 2nd will do 6-10k after bleed and talisman procs. I usually do the first attach uncharged to land the hit quicker, then follow with charged for big damage. This obviously only works in PvE. Yeah, other weapons can do this damage or more, but they aren't pizza cutters. I keep commander's standard in the offhand for buff, but it's also a nice poke for thrust counter to lead into heavies.

Talismans: Millicent's prosthetic, rotten sword, axe, Lord of Blood Exultation. Flask has Spiked and Thorny cracked tears. Only buff with the commander's standard, so there's probably room for more damage with some incantations or other buffs (FGMS)

                                                                • Anonymous

                                                                  • Anonymous

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

                                                                          • Anonymous

Not the biggest fan of colossal weapons other than colossal swords, but would definitely consider using this thing in another playthrough in the future.

                                                                            • Anonymous

I don't know why I never see it mentioned anywhere but this thing one handed is the way to go, specifically with the heavy attacks. 2-handed the heavy attack does a swing that leaves the blade spinning behind you, but one handed will swing the blade over and infront of you, leaving it in the place where it lands to continue doing damage with the saw.

I'm currently using this with the pulley crossbow offhand, and after reading the lore of Ghiza, the weapons, and the locations of the weapons i think the game even tries to hint you towards this with the weapons relatively low str requirement (for a colossal anyway).

Combine the 1 handed heavies with some charged damage increases like Axe Talisman and Spiked Crystal Tear, then some stacking damage bonuses like Millicent's Prosthesis and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia as well as the Thorny Cracked Tear, then put white mask on and Lord of Blood's Exultation and watch those heavy attack numbers go up and up and up and up!

                                                                              • Anonymous

You know what's good? This vs. Iron Virgins. They're cripplingly weak to their own weapon. Just run up, dodge about a half-second after the hatch opens to avoid the grab, then press and hold R2 and watch them melt.
