If i used only fire spells and buffs, is it better to use double giants seal or one giant seal with erdtree seal? I will only be using the flame spells like catch flame, the giant fireball and such.

i tested, even at 60 faith, Erdtree seal is better, giants seal is a waste of time and resources... the so called boost is a scam, the difference is so minute....

At 80 FTH & +25, compared to the Erdtree Seal, this will only give you 4.4% more damage for the specified incantations, while dealing 13% less damage with everything else, including Catch Flame and weapon buffs.

HOWEVER, if you go for 60 or less FTH, the incantation scaling of seals is equal, so this is obviously superior.

Also worth considering - Erdtree Seal weighs 0.0, this weighs 1.5 units.

Conclusion: for an 80 FTH build, consider using this along with the Erdtree Seal, rather than going through the trouble of dual wielding two giant's seals.

it doesn't boost catch flame, fire's deadly sin and flame sling, because while they're flame based, I don't think they belong to either the fire monk's or fire giant's schools of magic. when casting, their signs do not appear around your catalyst like other spells. catch flame and flame sling are sold by corhyn, a golden order fundamentalist, further establishing they're not from the giants or those who worship them as they're seen as heretics.

so for a fire monk build should I go str/fai to maximize the seal or should i go dex/fai to maximise the weapons like monk's flamemace and flameblade because they seem to have better scaling with dex?

The Gravel Stone Seal stacks with itself when two are held according to its wiki page. That would mean that holding two of these SHOULD buff by 44% but I have yet to test. Remind me and I'll update you on that.

Ives tried the the giant seal +25 vs frenzied flame seal +10 and I’m doing more damage with ff seal just off of pure scaling.
Str.75 int.40 dex.60 faith.61
Only like a 40-69 dmg diff but just wanted to leave my thoughts here

Fire incantations are very

1. Tactical.
2. More Impact.
3. Great for people who like to Cannon Lob, Giants Flame Take Thee.
4. Great AOE.
5. Can Burst DMG with Flame of the Fell God casted first before Giants Flame Take Thee.

Equip the Black Knife and you have a very solid build.

Conclusion: Boost for Giant Flame Spells and "O Flame" Fire Monk Spells is a bit over 16% in my testing. As far as I can tell the Information displayed on this page regarding boosted Incantations seems to be legit.

Like honest opinion this particular one should scale with strength to if for nothing else for flavor of the seal. For one fire in some capacity seems to be attributed to strength and faith focused weapons. The one eyed shield for instance is pure strength and has a fire AoW or the prelates hammer as another example. It is incredibly strange to me how they could make this choice to make many of the others scale with strength but not this one. It seems really odd.

doing some basic testing O' Flame does seem to get a boost from the Giant's Seal, tested on a godric soldier right outside church of ellah on the hill. With giant's talisman (218 incant scale at 42 faith 25 str) dealt 699 damage charged, with a godslayer seal (incant 235 at 42 faith 25 str) dealt 620.
I'm not sure if there's some other explination, but I did the test 5 times with each and the giant's seal consistantly did more damage despite lower incant scaling.

since nobody seems to care about the seal passive: it's +18.5% bonus damage for giantflame and burn o flame.

PROBABLY +18.5% skill damage for all the other seal passives aswell!!!

It's not lore accurate at all and makes no sense gameplay wise that all only 4 of the flame incantations are buffed by this seal.

I tested this for extensively on the mobs at Palace Approach Ledge-Road site of grave and can safely say that it boost's flame incantation damage by 16%.

My stats: 40 vigor, 30 mind, 40 strength, 40 dex, 10 int, 50, faith, 10 arcane
Method of comparison (both unupgraded): Finger Seal vs Giant's Seal.
Spells tested: All fire incantations (including black flames)

My testing concludes that the Giant's Seal boosts damage by 16% for all but 5 of the tested spells. Those Being:
- Flame sling (Basic thrown fireball sold by Corhyn
- Catch flame (Prophet class starter spell)
- Black flame
- Scouring black flame
- Black flame ritual

This means that the seal is most likely best-in-slot for any player that plans to use any fire spell not listed here.

Trash, these spells suck, which is unfortunate because they look so cool. Based on effectiveness and damage, I'd rate incantations: Lightning->Dragonic->Church Flame-> Black Flame-> Giants flame

If Giant's Seal buffs giantflame spells by 10% like other buffing seals, then it should have an effective spell scaling of around 300. This makes it more effective than Godslayer's for the spells that it buffs, at least. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

Difference between Giant's Seal and Gravel Stone Seal is pretty minimal, within 5-8 spell of each other; considering how powerful Giantsflame is, it's worth leveling this after you've increased the Gravel Seal for Ice Lightning and Lightning Spear use

This is in the Giant Conquering Hero's Cavern, just before the boss room there's a hallway with 2 sides that you can jump down - it's on the bottom floor

There's a flame priest once you go down, the Giant's seal is just on the corpse so you can just grab it and TP out of the dungeon

Has anyone discovered a way to get to the mountaintop without defeating morgott first? It kinda sucks that the dedicated pyromancer seal is found 3/4 into the game.

Does this affect Catch Flame? It looks like it should be in the same 'family' as the Giants' Flame incantations, but its description doesn't mention giants and there's no Fire Monk sigil that shows up while spellcasting it.
