The golden, desiccated remains of a centipede.
Material used for crafting items.

Kept as a fetish by Golden Order fundamentalists, especially the hunters of Those Who Live in Death.
As such, they are found near churches and similar.

They should have made these like Skulltullahs on Zelda. Collecting all of them would unlock some cool item.

What a cool but worthless item. Only two uses that aren't even really necessary or particularly useful with all the other options that exist. I think you can buy the boluses from the medicine ball bearing.

Another super rare item that's annoying to farm, which locks you out of crafting useful items if you don't have them.

These do respawn, btw. Not sure at what interval(s), but as of patch 1.05 (at least, as it's 1.06 currently, at least on playstation 5), I've just re-traveled to the same spot over and over again after sitting at the same grace, and they almost always are back. I don't really go out of my way for these, though, so correct me if they are not infinitely spawning at the time of this post or after.

Updated: 7 Siofra Aqueducts, 7 Deeproot Depths, 6 Minor Erdtree Church, 5 Church of Pilgrimage, 5 Bellum Church, 2 Mohgwyn Dynasty, 2 Siofra River, 2 Subterranean Shunning Grounds, 1 Ainsel River, 1 Nokstella, 1 Grand Cloister

If a centipede is a symbol of death, then a golden centipede symbolizes a holy death, or the purification of death and those who live in it. Looking at it that way, it makes sense why hunters of the dead would keep these things as charms.

So let's be clear: 7 in siofra aqueducts, 6 at minor erdtree church, 6 in deeproot depths, 5 at church of pilgrimage, 5 at bellum church, 2 at mohgwyn dynasty, 2 in siofra river well depths, 1 at the grand cloister and 1 in nokstella for a total of = 35

Five appear behind Hyetta on her location in The Bellum Church as soon as she spawns in the zone. Probably an Omen of what's to come for her.

there are some in deeproot depths. Im positive there is one near the spiritspring, and i made a comment saying this, but it got deleted (look more carefully next time, mod).

I found one in mogwhyn"s Dynasty next to the Great Ghost glovewort that is surrounded by 80 of those guys that explode and cause blood loss build up

I like that centipedes in previous fromsoft games are associated with demons and nasty monsters. And here they are symbols of worship and fetishes for golden order fundamentalists.

There are at least five in Siofra Aqueduct, the three mentioned here then another in the gazebo with the scarab, and a fifth in the room to your left when facing the waterfall.

I found one before the Ainsel River Downstream grace, underground. The cavern has an enemy called Malformed Star. The centipede is found on the corner of a square pillar that has a waterfall nearby and Claymen patrolling the watery floor below.

There is a good Farmspot. Weeping Peninsula left of the Minor Erdtree there is a grace called tombsward. Down from there you can see a very small lake. there are several respawning golden Centipedes.

The Guardians at the Minor Erdtree Church, just SW of Leyndell, can drop them. I just had one drop from one of them about two hours ago and have spent the last two hours clearing the church and got two more. Arcane is at 60 atm. Probably best to conserve them because even though they can drop, this is not a reliable source to farm unless you can afford to no life it for hours on end. Sadly these mobs drop all their armor, weapons and Tarnished Golden Sunflower too, so the drop table is a mess.

Do these ever respawn? There seem to be very few ways to get Rejuvenating Boluses and the Wormfaces are giving me grief without them.

There is I believe 2 total towards the end of Mogwyn palace, one right behind the first grace up the stairs into the palace and the second one glows, in the dark cave on the way to the boss

The description is likely a reference to the Undying Centipedes in Sekiro. NPCs infected by these centipedes have a corrupt form of immortality.
