Boosts Fundamentalist Inc.

Golden Order Seal is a Sacred Seal in Elden Ring. The Golden Order Seal scales primarily with Intelligence and Faith and is a good Weapon for enhancing incantations of hybrid Intelligence/Faith casters. The Golden Order Seal additionally boosts Golden Order Fundamentalist incantations.

A formless sacred seal depicting the ceremonial observation of Order. Enhances Golden Fundamentalist incantations.

Fundamentalism is scholarship in all but name. Scales incantation using both intelligence and faith.

  • This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and buffed with Magic and Consumables
  • Golden Order Seal can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones
  • Buffs Golden Order Incantations by 10%.
  • This and all other multi-scaling seals only apply their faith scaling for weapon buffs and healing incantations as of 1.03.
  • Golden Order Incantations include Discus of Light, Radagon's Rings of LightTriple Rings of Light, and Litany of Proper Death.
  • Sell Value:  er runes 13 200
  • +10 Incantation Scaling at 40 Int/40 Fth 317
  • +10 Incantation Scaling at 50 Int/50 Fth 345

  • +10 Incantation Scaling at 25 Int/75 Fth 304
  • It has the potential to provide the highest incantation boost plus the bonus for Golden Order incantations, but it's more of a level 180 and up endgame and beyond type of seal. The Erdtree Seal is going to outperform it if you're trying to make a lvl 120 to 150 build or below. You need nearly 60 INT/ 60 Faith just to match and start to surpass the Erdtree Seal at 80 Faith only, which is quite a few levels. The Golden Order Seal the ultimate very high level casting seal (and shares stats needed for Prince of Death Staff for sorceries) but isn't going to work all that well at a lower level.

if you want to mix spells and incantations with magic properties on a INT build, this seal is the perfect choice.

      • Anonymous

Comparing this to the Erdtree seal and 80 faith is kind of missing the point.

Comparing this seal to the Erdtree seal at 80 faith is kind of missing the point.

This seal outclasses other seals upto the 45 faith softcap even with the minimum 17 intelligence investment.

        • I want to use Golden Order incantations, would I do more damage with them if I had INT at the minimum of 31 and 60 faith? Or what it be better to keep INT and Faith at the same number?

          • Anonymous

People say this seal is only strong for overleveled INT/FTH builds but I think people are missing its spot as an amazing seal for higher INT/lower FTH builds, if you're a pure caster sorcerer who wants to give up some sorcery scaling for the added utility of incantations that scale off your INT. You can get 52 INT and 32 FTH at level 150 without giving up 60 vigor, giving you Azur's glintstone staff + added utility of Sacred Oath, Wrath of Gold, Barrier of Gold, all the Golden Order spells, all of the bestial incantations, most of the lightning spells, most of the healing spells etc. etc. all scaling at 316 incant scaling, which is on par with +10 erdtree seal at 70 FTH on a pure faith build(just accept that healing wont be as strong because that scales on faith only for some reason).

So in essence, your incants are as strong as a 70 FTH PURE FAITH build but with less than HALF the FTH investment and you get access to every sorcery up to 52 INT(which is almost all of them) + Azur staff cast speed bonus(WHICH AFFECTS INCANTS IN YOUR OTHER HAND TOO!). Sure you can get the Azur staff bonus even if you can't use the staff but being able to use it is even better because it's an amazing staff in its own right! The downside is your sorceries aren't quite as strong as a pure INT build, and you don't get to use spells above your requirements but...do you really need comet azur, rennala's moon, or elden stars? Some of those higher req spells are good at melting bosses in niche scenarios, but this build gives you so much versatility and incant power in return, as well as a reason to use ALL 10 memory slots all the time(and sometimes even the nokstella charm!)

            • Anonymous

thought it would cast sorceries as well, like that one is DS3--also Radagon was into an INT woman, then became a FAITH woman, so there's that...

I'm seeing something I don't understand when I look at this seal in my inventory, under the scaling Its showing much less than any of the other seals I've got. I've upgraded this to +16 but seals that I haven't put any upgrades into at all are showing much higher incant scaling than this does. What I don't understand is if this really does have the scaling it is showing in my inventory, it wouldn't be doing the damage it is with fire and frenzy flame or any of the other offensive incantations. Its making my head hurt thinking about it.

                • Anonymous

This should have been like the Crystal Chime or Talisman of Beaats in that it would be able to cast Sorceries as well. It would also work into the lore as well given that Radagon learned Sorcery as well. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing Seal for a hybrid caster build, however it could have been even better.

My biggest gripe with the Crystal Chime is how Attunement dictates how many spells use, so you can only have a few spells at a time, the Memory Stone mechanic negates the issue. shame that there's no spell casting tool can capitalize on the hybrid casting potiental.

My main character is over lvl 170 now, so I've started to use it on that build as a replacement of my Erdtree Seal, but don't go down this road if you're trying to stay at lvl 120 or whatnot.

BTW, the buffs are nice on the Golden Order incantations. They hit harder than I expected, and they can often hit enemies a second time while returning to you. The rings can do hefty damage.

Ok, hear me out, this damn seal heals A LOT, having a Dragon Com seal +10 with 387 boost heals me with Lords heal a 747 hp, with my Golden Order Seal +10 which has almost -100 less scaling, i heal for almost 1000 hp, i dont know why it happes, but now i carry both, to heal with order and attack with dragon

                      • Anonymous

The scaling softcap is 45/45, with 338 incant scaling. After that, the scaling drops from +2 points per level to +0.67 and stays there from levels 46-99.
                        418 incant scaling at 99/99.

Would be cool if some of these split stat seals or staves would allow casting both sorceries or incantations so you dont need to micromanage spells and your casting item

Probably goes without saying, but the Golden Order’s insignia is the Christian Trinity with an added circle in the center. I wonder why that is from a lore standpoint.

                            • Comparing the Golden Order Seal to some other seals, fully upgraded, and at 80/80 int/faith.

                              erdtree seal +10
                              incant scaling: 353

                              lord's heal: 1338

                              golden order seal +10
incant scaling: 390 ... (7.6% more than erdtree, 18.5% more than godslayer's, 22.6% more than gravel stone)
lightning spear: 1178 ... (11.4% more than erdtree, 20.9% more than godslayer's, 9.3% more than gravel stone)
black flame: 754 ... (11.4% more than erdtree, 10.1% more than godslayer's, 25.0% more than gravel stone)
                              lord's heal: 1029 ... (30.7% less than erdtree, 25.6% less than godslayer's, 23.1% less than gravel stone)

Tested on resting Albinaurics in Mohgwyn Palace (near Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace), with no buffs or talismans. Percentages calculated using (golden/other)-1.

The Golden Order Seal uses A/A int/faith scaling for damage, and A faith scaling for heals and weapon buffs (that is, it has two incant scaling numbers: the number you can see applies to damage, and there's a hidden number that applies to heals and weapon buffs). The other seals use S faith scaling for everything (plus D strength scaling for damage in the cases of Godslayer's Seal and Gravel Stone Seal, but that's not much of a factor). An int/faith character will get better damage but worse heals and weapon buffs using a Golden Order Seal over the other seals. (At high int/faith, the Golden Order Seal deals more damage than the other seals despite their specific "spell school" boosts; but at lower int/faith, the boost can outweigh the scaling.)

Other seals are arguably better for int/faith builds if you don't want to use (and upgrade) two seals. But in my opinion (at NG+2), the difference is big enough to justify a high int/faith character having both the Golden Order Seal for damage and the Erdtree Seal (or other seal) for heals and weapon buffs, and equipping one or the other depending on the situation.

Best Seal imo currently.... Here's why , i started my Build as a Mage ( Now i'm High Level sitting at Level 278 exactly ). Here's why this Seal is pretty insane despite the Bonuses it gives.... I'm sitting currently at 80 INT and 40 Faith with Golden Order Seal +10 sitting at a 350 Inc Scaling. ( That's absurdly insane because my Lusat's Staff with the buffed damage got me to 413 Sorcery Scale at +10. ) Altho i even have 60 Dex with Vigor aswell , 350 Inc Scaling is very good i kill every enemy with just 1 Incantation Cast just like my Lusat Staff.... This Golden Order Seal is weightless , scales with INT & Faith and is very good. It's pretty much the Prince of Death Staff Seal-version of Elden Ring. ( After capping up 80 INT and 80 Faith i believe this Seal goes upto 390 Inc Scaling , while Prince of Death Staff +25 goes upto 448 Sorcery Scaling without no Penalty unlike the Dragon Communion Seal or Lusat's FP consumption ). Indeed i'd say for being a Dex , INT and Faith Hybrid at a High character Level , this Seal is the Best for Mage & Faith builds. ( Also could mix up Incantations & sorcery spells with this thing and the damages between Sorceries and Incantations aren't that different , Making this Seal the Best in the game for Mage/Faith Hybrids indeed ). Goodluck & Enjoy the sweet journey.

Seems to also affect the damage of the Golden Order Greatsword. When I equip it the greatsword's AR goes up.

I really hope FromSoft updates the scaling for heals and weapon buffs to be based off of simple incant scaling, and not this weird faith-only-even-when-using-hybrid-catalysts version of scaling that currently exists.

The one reason why I use this one is its weight. It might be an error and might get fixed at some point, but that 0.0 weight is one reason to keep it slotted at all time.

For anyone interested: the buff to Golden Order incantations provided by this seal is ~10%. This buff is applied while the seal is equipped; you do not have to cast the incantation with this seal in order to get the buff.

This effect stacks multiplicatively if you hold one in each hand. For instance, I cast Triple Rings of Light on a Godrick soldier. With 1 seal in my right hand, I dealt 371. With a seal in each hand, I dealt 408. Is 10% extra damage worth dual-wielding seals? I dunno! Up to you! Just thought you might find it interesting

Prior to patch 1.03 with 60 Int and 50 Fth at +10 it had 465 scaling, post patch that appears to be nerfed to 353

I got the Golden Order Seal after killing Godrick at the Stormveil Castle. It dropped after killing him and I thought it was the rune the entire time.

this does not allow INT to further buff Order's Blade, Order's blade will only scale with faith despite it being listed as a fundamentalist spell. i test by just equiping/removing stargazers talisman (+5 int) and rebuffing the weapon and the damage does not change.

As of current version, the golden order seal is broken. It doesn't cast those spells any better it states it does and it doesn't actually have as much Incant scaling that it says it does in menu.

Sorry for being dumb, but if I understand correctly with this seal I don't necessarily need higher faith for incantations, only enough to equip them, then i can boost them with leveling intelligence? Im trying to get away with only leveling intelligence to boost both cold weapons and incantations.

So what was surprising is that unlike Dark Souls, the dual scaling is actually very effective, but as anticipated does not seem to work for heals. More surprising however that I did not expect, is that INT actually enjoys massive improvements after level 60. My assumption was that with a lvl 150 character, due to softcaps, it would be a good investment to move to int/faith dual build, but that's not the case at all. The 21 points of INT actually adds over 30% damage on average. In Dark Souls 3 any points past 60 would have been pointless.

I don't have time to test more, but if the same applies to faith as well, FromSoft seems to have gone a very different route and this time made all 99 stat points worth something, as opposed to before.

if you at the level where u can soft cap both int & faith and still have dencent amount on your vigor, mind & stamina, and u have collected all memory sloth u can get, it should be 10, CMIIW, then use this seal on your right hand and also put sword of night & flame on your right hand, then put prince of death staff that has been infused with bloodhound's step on your left hand, then you're set to become elden god, with sorceries, incantations & high damage melee weapon with great skill and ash of war that makes u untouchable on ur arsenal, you can combine incantatios and sorceries as you like althou i recommend u to have atleast one spell both on ur incant & sorcery that get boosted by your staff & seal, for sorcery i recommend 2 spell (rancorcall good for punishing ppl who keep their distance [very bad when enemy closing in]& terra magicus for extra damage on magic) as for incant (triple ring of light good damage and nice to ise agants multiple opponets at once, radagon ring of light, to deny and punish opponet that closing in since it have way better damage than wrath of gold or noble presence but it is optional thou since u can punish em with sword of night and flame instead, golden vow a must for extra bonus on damage and defense, flame grant me strenght, if decide to bring flame incant & sorceries, and law of regression to disrespect opponets whos abusing death blight) enjoy your time as Elden God of All-knowing, put gideon to shame with this build :v

Strongest seal if you have high int n faith. Eldertree is the second but only after around 65~70 faith before that godslayer is better.

I'm wondering, what does the Incant Scaling actually affect?
Like, aside from offensive incantations we also have support incantations like Heal, or Golden Vow. Does Incant Scaling affect these types of skills? Or are they constant/independent from the scaling?

                                                            • Anonymous

This is a must if you are running a Faith/Int build. I haven't finished levelling my Int, only 52 but I have 80 Faith and at +10 it's 369 Scaling.

                                                              • PSA: You can get this without having two Great Runes. I got it with only one, but I suspect you don't need any at all. You can access Liurnia by going around Stormveil in the secret passage. From there, go all the way north in the lake, and follow the northern ravine filled with Giant Land Squirts until you get to the Ravine-Veiled Village. Do that dungeon, which isn't incredibly difficult, and you'll find yourself in the Altus Plateau. From there you can basically head straight to Leyndell. Don't try to go down the center path, as you'll likely get gunned down instantly. Ride Torrent into the wooded area that goes along the main entryway on the northern side. You'll need to rush past a Runebear. Once you do that, you can jump up onto the railing and sneak past all of the gate guards and into the capital outskirts, which has the door conveniently already cracked open. Grab the grace (and 2 seeds), then follow the road south to arrive at Minor Erdtree Church, and snatch up that seal. If you follow the road north from that grace point you grabbed right as you got through the outer gate, then you'll come across another grace point and another 2 golden seeds.

                                                                • Anonymous

If you're planning on mostly using healing/support incantations, it's better to stick with a different seal. Despite the huge Incant Scaling, even the Finger Seal provides stronger heals assuming equal upgrades. This seal's Incant Scaling mostly applies to offensive incantations, even non-Golden Order ones like Pyro & Lightning spells.
Tested with +4 Golden Order vs. +12 Finger Seal at 30/30 INT/FTH.

                                                                  • Fundamentalist incantations are those related to the Golden Order, which require intelligence and sometimes strength. Examples are Law of Regression, Law of Causality, Discus of Ring, Triple Ring, etc.

                                                                    • Anonymous

at 43 int 25 faith it has incant scaling of 207

Seems better than other seals for me so far

                                                                      • Also, I wanted to point out that by +4 the incantation scaling is at least B for both Int and Faith. I really wish I had made a note of how it upgrades, I'll keep track of it from here on out.

                                                                        • Anonymous
