poise damage would be good if it actually hit the ****ing boss
- Anonymous
High fire damage plus 10% boost against dragons makes this quite good for killing Decaying Ezykes quickly and easily.
When Ezykes goes in for the breath attack close distance and use Bear Witness! to give 'im a good ol' uppercut.
- Anonymous
It's honestly not too bad, poise damage is really solid on the heavy attacks. Just wish it had a little more faith scaling

This melts Decying Ezykes with Flame grant me strength and the Flame shrouding cracked tear on a strength build. Get yourself the Guardian armour set if you don't have anything with good immunity and you should be good to go.

Currently on my first no weapon upgrades run and I am super impressed at how much damage this thing does to erdtree avatars, flowers and tree spirits

BEAR WITNESS! Is the ultimate flex to finish off a large boss
- Anonymous
I’m gonna use this on a mad pumpkin head build cuz why not. My strategy is prolly to just spam bear witness against most enemies and the ones that are harder to hit im gonna hit them with a charged attack that does 40 damn poise dmg
- Anonymous
Godrick had to have given himself dragon head at some point.
- Anonymous
Anyone else feel like the teeth on this weapon should do at least a smidge of bleed buildup? That way it would be a very versatile tool, the uppercut AoW aside
- Anonymous
I have used this extensively, and I can say that it is extremely underrated.
-This puts you in a low profile for a decent amount of time when "bearing witness", so it is very easy to dodge attacks by ducking underneath. Even in pvp, you can sometimes duck underneath a large thrusting sword's running r2 (latency dependent ofc).
- The upward blast is perfect for hitting dragon's heads, and combined with it's damage bonus, is one of the best dragon slaying weapons for faith/strength builds.
- The lingering fire can stunlock some of the common soldier mobs for a time; very useful when swarmed by multiple.
- The lingering fire can also do decent damage against large enemies like the trees spirits that seem to be everywhere
- This works extremely well as an offhand combined with magma wyrm's scalesword, as it allows a very light, noncommittal attack that can exploit an more narrow opening safely. In pvp it can also vortex as well. Plus you can throw on an offhand fist weapon to quickly switch to a powerstanced moveset to mix up opponents or as a finisher. (compared to the scalesword, it has more initial damage, but loses to the scalesword's full combo if you can land it).
- Also in pvp, it has very weird timing, really decent hyperarmor, and a deceptive range, making it hit much more often than anyone could expect, even against good opponents. Plus the fire rain can now stagger if your enemy tries to whiff punish and gets unlucky. Really useful against players who are like to hang out in midrange too much.
- and the best: it doesn't disappear with some gestures like heartening cry or fire spur me.
- Wirm the Younger

This weapon is a back breaker let me tell you, 40 poise damage per super fast charged heavy
- Anonymous
And this was the weapon that shifted my unreasonable, hype-fueled expectations for the game down to something realistic. Seriously, for a shining moment I thought I was about to get a Stake Driver meets Kos Parasite with animations and jiggle physics, and everything was possible.
- Anonymous
I did a fist only run some months ago and this thing was my ticket to the early-midgame, it turned out to be genuinely good
Just powerstance it with another fist to use the ash of war and it is honest to god amazing, managed to melt radahhn's nuts off with it
- Anonymous
Dual wielding these prioritizes the AOW to be cast from the left handed weapon. Additionally, initiating the cast facing away from your opponent and then proceeding to aim through the entire attack does substantial fire and stagger damage.
It's a dragon fist that just inherently does fire damage. This thing is the Marikas tits

Using this on frenzy build, only weapon I can see being thematically appropriate aside from the overused spear, since you do look insane walking around with a dragon head on your arm and spewing fire from it.

Checks weight, only 2.5, nice! Checks stat requirements, hmm... twenty.... TWENTY STRENGTH?!

Would be a bit janky but might be useful to cosplay one of the sword and shield Ringed Knights from DS3. Don't know what a good armor setup would be, though... Fire Monk gauntlets and greaves might be a start.

Something funny I recently saw:
If this is in your left hand and you apply a grease to your right hand, the dragon will remain visible as if you're coating the right hand weapon with a grease from the dragon. Looks kinda funny.

Definitely power stance this with flame art first weapon of your choice. Pretty satisfying.

god I love my hand puppet. caelid putrid avatar bore witness o7
- Anonymous
can be "powerstanced" alongside other fists, making it pretty versatile

- Anonymous
Yo waddap, it's Mar 02 Anon here. Did some more testing. When power stancing with other fist weapons (but not claws), the Dragon adopts the moveset of the right-hand weapon, with the exception of running attacks. You could powerstance this with Cipher Pata on a faith build, maybe do some fun things with it? Anyway, that's all.

GNAAAAA!!!
and so, he is returned!
the darksouls goat dragon shalth live onnnn!
- Anonymous
Just discovered something goofy. When paired with a stabbing fist weapon (like Katar or Veterans Prosthetic) it gains slicing sound effects. Also lets you do the stabbing jump attack, and the fist running attack. Weird.
- Anonymous
At least the ash has hyperarmor, thats more than a lot of the bad ashes have.
- Anonymous
the ONE thing that I found interesting and super unique with this weapon is since its ash of war overwrites the right-handed weapons ash, this can be used in the left hand with the jellyfish shield in the right hand. 2hand the jellyfish shield in the right hand and use the buff, and when you swap back to 1handing, you will be able to use the ash of war of the Grafted Dragon. To my knowledge, this is the only weapon that you can use the ash of war while buffed with the Jellyfish Shield.

If you wanna know why godricks family hates him it's cause they found this in his sock drawer next to a bottle of lotion

Does this cast miracles/pyromancies? Be a shame if a dragon head that scales with faith can't do that.

What we expected: Launching trash mobs into space with a giant dragon head
What we got: Stake Driver 2.0
Mind you, that is in no way a complaint.
Landing the finishing blow on large bosses with the weapon art is godly.
- Anonymous
I liked this weapon in PVE. All the fireballs hit large targets, so it deals good dmg.
- Anonymous
The ash on this thing is like having a fist crit without a fist animation. Very fun in invasions to quickly start casting it after ducking a corner or using something flashier. Bear witness mofo.. only hits every so often(like 1/3-1/2 the time) but so worth it when it does
- Anonymous
Can you powerstance two of these to get the double fist moveset?
- Anonymous
Ancient wisdom, arcane art, martial prowess that will stop your heart, epic power, discipline, NUCLEAR MOVES THAT WILL ALWAYS WIN!
- Anonymous
I don't know if it would work with an optimised build in mind or if the attribute investment would be spread too thin to get the most out of it. But I was messing about at the blood-filled lake and swarm of flies works very well for setting up an enemy to take the full hit from the uppercut as well as the fire AoE. Apparently SoF has been nerfed but the ticks still slow anything hit by it right down and leaves them very vulnerable to any number of weapon arts that can be tricky to land properly for max damage on a moving target.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Why the **** it and magma wyrm blade have faith requirments? No other dragon weapons have it AND everything to do with dragons, like seal and incantations have arcane scaling. Is it because it has fire damage? **** it, then give torches faith scaling, i dunno... Sometimes i hate the way from makes their arsenals
- Anonymous
Wish this was the actual dragon's head rather then a carving like thing, but its still really cool.

Could someone please edit the item's description to correctly state "The embodiment of the power that still remained in the dragon's head that was GRAFTED to Godrick's left arm."?
- Anonymous
Why does Godrick call this piece of **** "truest of dragons?" Even the item description calls the dragon small. Someone introduce this man to Placidusax
- Anonymous
The reason everyone in the game thinks grafting is a disgusting, shameful, terrible crime is because it results in equipping this.

This is more like Godefroy's version of Godrick's grafted dragon arm.

Grafted Dragon’s “Bear Witness!” Skill is buffed by right hand weapon buffs much like many other Left Hand Priority Ashes Of War like “Shield Crash” and “Golden Retaliation”
Bear Witness shines at inflicting status effects, because each tick of fire damage will inflict the status effect of your buffed right hand weapon as if you landed an actual hit.
I could see Seppuku being a busted combo but I’ve not tested it yet.
I have tested RKR and achieved over 5000 damage with other buffs.
I also tested Eclipse Shotel and it works too. However just as you need 18 hits with the shotel to inflict death, you need 18 “hits” with the grafted dragon (but this includes the fire ticks)
TLDR: Run Eclipse Shotels, Fia’s Mist, Death Lightning and this in your offhand for a real Deathblight build.
(It’d still not be good but it’d be something)
You'd think this thing would be pretty sizeable considering how comparatively big it was on Godrick and not - y'know - the smallest hitbox of all the fist weapons.

Welp, now I know what remembrance weapon I'm gonna dupe in-game. Godrick had a point, but the only thing better than one dragon hand is Two dragon hands. Anyone know if they'll powerstance?

When I level up strength more I'll use the grafted gs or the axe in one hand and the grafted dragon just to to spite godrick for saying i'm unfit even to be grafted

This weapon seems awesome. I only tested it at +0 against the stagecoach trolls + entourage in Limgrave, as well as gateway ruins, but I had low stats. Anyway it did really well against those enemies, far better than other +0 weapons I experimented with.
When you activate it, you plunge your first into the ground, immediately gaining hyper-armor for yourself and also creating a pool of lava that damages and stun-locks anyone on top of it (i.e. anyone in melee range in front of you).
Next, you do an uppercut that seems to do very good damage and can knock people down. I knocked down the godrick knights each time I did it.
Finally, lots of small blobs of lava get spread around a relatively large AoE, doing relatively low damage but for a good amount of time, and each proc causes the enemies to flinch. So you can fight the enemies while they're being damaged by the lava. I was able to wipe out the entourage behind the stagecoach with just a few casts of it, purely from this lava shower.
So overall this gives you hyper-armor, stun-locks and/or knocks down enemies, and does great damage. Main disadvantage is it is the only fist weapon I'm aware of that cannot be paired; you only have one of them. (Which makes sense lore-wise.)
By contrast, the Magma Wyrm Scalesword (from ruin-strewn precipice) did worse damage in a tiny area and its lava disappears after a second or two.

How to turn this sock puppet into a hand held nuke:
- Get 99 Fth
- Get Erdtree Seal +10
- Grab a pleb weapon with your favourite moveset
- Use Electrify Armament
- Go up close to something and then use this thing's WA
The damage and effects of weapon buffs on your main hand, will transfer over to the WA of Grafted Dragon (Which will take priority when held in the left hand to boot). A 99 Fth Electrify Armament cast with a +10 Erdtree Seal adds 275 flat lightning damage to a weapon. Which then gets added to each fireball and tick of the fire patches from Grafted Dragon's WA leading to insane damage (Even at only +4 GD and +4 ES I managed to hit a Putrid Avatar for 3.8k with a single WA, not accounting for the remaining fire patch damage ticks)
For something a bit "Mogh-ier" you can swap Electrify Armament for Bloodflame Blade. You lose out on the raw damage (Only 147 damage compared to 275) but get a bunch of bleed build up from each hit (Including flame patch damage ticks). Throw in Fire's Deadly Sin for more buff based shenanigans (As it too will apply Bloodflame Blade's bleed build up)

Weapon carried me through my first playthrough, this thing is great

It could have long range and flex like the tai axe did in DS1, maybe be attached to your lower bicep and have sweeping moves and maybe a forward thrusting punch
- Anonymous
I really dont like the weapon art?? It just doesn’t hit where it should, I’m gonna go back to angels wings because atleast that one can hit things
- Anonymous
if you use this with dragonscale blade, the lightning damage and frost get added to the fire the AOW makes. its incredibly broken
- Anonymous
this is not the dragon godrick grafted. this is a little barbecued baby dragon
- Anonymous
As patch 1.04, its weapon art is glitched when used royal knight determination on a right hand weapon and then casting Bear Witness, it get the 80% damage bonus, its quite crazy, it might work with some other buff. Thankfully not as broken in pvp because of how long the animation is, you can easily run away from it.

Armament effect applies to AOW because this is considered shield. Bloodflame blood loss, frozen armament frost, poison, light, holy effects on main hand will apply to AOW which makes this weapon versatile.
- Anonymous
currently there is a bug with this weapon: it copies the weapon art of your off hand, much like the FDS of old when it was able to apply death blight and bleed passively

Meh. Not impressed so far. On the special skill, there is no hyperarmor from what I can tell, so I keep getting interrupted.

Does this weapon's skill take over the right hand skill, like a parry. If so that would be really cool and it'd be funny to juke people out. Might make it a usable weapon, considering it can't be two handed.
This thing's weapon art or whatever is really good against those red Albinaurics that roll at you with the spikes in the Mohgwyn Palace area. It starts emitting flames as soon as the animation starts, so it stops them in their tracks and staggers them until the animation completes.

wish the weapon wasnt static when not doing the weapon art. like, maybe have its tail move a little bit. It looks weird. The blasphemous sword looks really nice how it is constantly moving for instance. Just have it move a little, instead of being a statue
- Anonymous
If you use this weapon in your left hand like Godrick did then its ash of war gets priority like a shield would, allowing you to cast it while wielding a different weapon in your right hand. This allows you to ignore the fist moveset and range limitation by using another weapon, still having this ash of war available, and still having the right-hand weapon’s ash available by two-handing.
Just beat a full NG+ run powerstancing these, honestly really run weapon outside of a select few bosses where range really matters (hi Gideon)
