Graven-Mass Talisman is a Talisman in Elden Ring. Graven-Mass Talisman raises the potency of Sorceries by 8%. Players can use talismans in Elden Ring to boost a variety of Stats.
A talisman depicting the first school of graven mages — a nightmare that would continue to haunt the academy.
Greatly raises potency of sorceries.
The primeval current is a forbidden tradition of glintstone sorcery. To those who cleave to its teachings, the act of collecting sorcerers to fashion them into the seeds of stars is but another path of scientific inquiry.
Graven-Mass Talisman Effect
Graven-Mass Talisman raises the damage of all damage types dealt by Sorceries by 8%.
Graven-Mass Talisman Location
- Found in a chest atop Albinauric Rise, in the east of the Consecrated Snowfield. [Map link]
Graven-Mass Talisman Notes & Tips
- Sell value:
2,000
- Bring either Fanged Imp Ashes, Bewitching Branch, or use some Crystal Darts to solve the Albinauric Rise puzzle, which requires imps to fight each other.
- Does not conflict with the Graven-School Talisman, allowing you to wear both for a +12% Sorcery damage buff.

Ok i need some help. I want to use lusats staff and crown but im not sure what talismans to use. I will use radagon icon and probably godfrey icon but im not sure what else, should i use stuff like primal glinstone blade and cerulean seed talisman to get more casts or just focus on damage? And what stats should i aim to reach? By level 150

How exactly does this work? Does it increase the sorcery scaling by +8% or increases the damage output of spells by +8%?
couldn't the ritual sword tailsman be better if you never got hit?
- Anonymous
Does this one boost the effect of Smarag's Glintstone Breath?
- Anonymous
8% is wild. Not even worth equipping. Just use one of the school-specific staves and pick a build

Is this worth getting for a mage character? I'm currently planning on doing an INT build for my current playthrough, and although increasing sorcery damage would be nice, 8% doesn't sound like a lot... I still don't have the entire build planned out, but the talismans will likely be Magic Scorpion Charm, Stargazer Heirloom, Primal Glintstone Blade and either Radagon's Icon or the Graven-Mass talisman. Radagon's would be nice for faster spell cast times, but for this build, I'll also he investing into DEX to also be able to fight melee, so I'm not sure if it's 100% necessary. Thoughts?

Some perspective on this talisman. Currently playing with 75 int and a +10 Carian Regal Scepter. Testing this with the stargazers heirloom (+5 int) shows sorcery scaling:
Without Stargazers (75 int): 352
With Stargazers (80 int): 373
With a difference of 21 points, or 5.6%. Magic Scorpion Charm (MSC) is 15%, but lowers physical resistances. Seems balanced in line with other talismans. If this does not have a PvP nerf, it is superior to MSC.
I plan on using this when I finally get it as it suits my build.

I can't believe people are *****ing about the buff only being 8% lol. You guys realize how insanely generous that is right?

Still need to correct the chest part, it is just a pickup on the bed of crystals.

Ok so this does work with Magma sorceries right i.e Rykards rancor? But to then boost that damage further I need to use fire buffs correct? Basically is this talisman a universal buff to sorceries, or only a buff to (magic) damage? like the physic buffs.....
- Anonymous
8%? Why? Legitimately no reason for sorcery to get the best talisman in the game.

Can anyone confirm or deconfirm if this affects status inducing spells like Freezing Mist? Thank you.

Grave School, Graven Mass, Ritual Sword, Magic Scorpion, Jellyfish Shield, Lusat's Staff, Magic Shrouding Cracked Tear and Terra Magica = 124% damage boost. 139%if you spec 25 into faith for Golden Vow. Pair it with Cerulean hidden tear in your other flask slot and this is downright ****ing nasty for bosses and players alike, albeit some buffs get nerfed in PVP.
(Came back and this wasn't on the page, did mods remove it or something lmao?)

Something tells me this is bugged and likely to be nerfed. As far as I know it's the only "greater" version of any talisman that is wearable with its "lesser" counterpart. Magic is already pretty powerful and this talisman is a big boost on top of the magic scorpion so I can't imagine this is intended.

You can also use a bewitching branch and make one kill the other, no need for imp summon
- Anonymous
The puzzle description is missing that you can also use crystal darts to solve the Albinauric Rise puzzle as that also gets imps to hit each other
- Anonymous
they massively nerfed pyromance compared to ds3 (spells) thats actually the only point that bothers me
- Anonymous
Fromsoft, your bias is showing. There's this one but not an upgrade to the incantation equivalent
- Anonymous
A whole lot of criers in this comment section. Compare 8% sorcery damage to +5 dexterity talisman. 1 point of dexterity is around 2-3 damage for most upgraded weapons. 10-15 damage, when a weapon's total damage is 600+ is less than 2%. Stop crying, this is one of the best talismans in the game from a numbers standpoint.
- Anonymous
Not worth it , but i do suggest having this over the previous Graven School ( Dont Sacrifice another Talisman Slot for the 4% , instead grab the Radagon Icon for a Faster Cast ). Later on when having 60+ Dex you can take off the Radagon Icon since Casting will be Faster normally without Talisman Buffs.
I'm not a fan of these. Don't have the Upgraded version but what I use is:
Moon Gazer Talisman: +5 INT
Godfrey Icon: Buff Charge Spells & Skills
Magic Scorpion : Buff Magic Nerf Defense
4th Slot: Don't have yet. Ritual Sword is good for Sniping.

Regardless of how much damage sorcery can do, an improvement of 8% for a talisman slot is really pitiful.

Graven-Mass, Graven-School, Magic Scorpion, and Ritual Sword for +38% Magic Attack when at full HP?
- Anonymous
Graven-School + Graven-Mass Talisman = Young Dragon Ring (DS3)
The combined power of 2 talismans now equates to the worse version of the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.
"But in Elden Ring Sorcery is OP" they say, "You can one-shot bosses with Comet Azur and Flask of Wondrous Physick", "8% makes a huge difference!"
If you have 80 Int, +10 Carian Regal Cepter this talisman might make the difference between a one-shot with Lorettas Greatbow or Glintstone Cometshard on a Mob. More often than not, either an enemy is one shot or it's not and 8% doesn't change much about that USUALLY! As a famous man once said: "My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined."

Pro tip: neither this talisman, nor its lower level counterpart, affects weapon-buffing sorceries.
- Anonymous
Pretty garage considering its a measly 8% damage increase. Idk about you but an extra 100-150 damage on a spell that does 2500 damage is irrelevant.
- Anonymous
Does this increase non-magic damage dealing sorceries as well? Like rock sling and magma shot?
8% increase. Stacks with Graven-School Talisman and Magic Scorpion Charm.

Someone look into this to make sure as I just discovered it on the way out. But you may be able to bypass the Imp Ashes requirement to get in.
If you look at the tower icon on the map, you'll notice some elevated topography to the south of the tower.
If you ride Torrent south and start following this around back north, you'll eventually come to some wolves and a big magic shooting globe thingy (Im terrible at descriptions sorry). And just beyond that will be another.
If you look down you can see where you can drop down a little ways. You'll know if you found the right spot because right next to where you need to be is a chest with a Rune Arc in it.
Turn to your left from facing the chest and you will see the tower. Mount up on Torrent and double jump over to the tower.
Tested it after seeing the path on the way down and it works, just not sure if the Front door is the only one sealed or if all of them are.

It stack with GRAVEN-SCHOOL TALISMAN. But I don't know if it is good to have both of them, bonus is there, but not that huge. Some numbers from testing.
Tested stats lvl 137 - 99int, Carian Regal Scapter+10, 388 Sorcery scaling.
Tested with Swift glintstone Shard 1st hit number only on same mob.
484 with both of them
467 only Mass one
450 only School one
343 non equiped

Depicting the result that Sellen and her masters enacted on the students at their time in the academy.

Based on this description... the nightmare of the academy got Sellen.
I wonder what happened to the first mages to make them this way

its located in the secret part of the mountain of giants area (the left area unlocked with the secret medallion). stick to the right side til you see a tower, use fanged imp summon to break the seal, then kill an imp. seal will break and the talisman is at the top of the tower
- Anonymous
Item is in the Albinauric Rise, East of the Inner Consecrated Snowfields grace, and north of the Catacombs there, location is not noted on the interactive map at present.
To open that Rise, you need to get a gargoyle to kill another. I know for a fact that charm works as that got it open for me when I stumbled across it, notes around the place also suggested summoning a spirit gargoyle would work too, although I have not yet gotten that.

The talisman gives a 9-10 percent damage boost to sorceries. tested with multiple spells

This talisman is found at albinauric´s rise (-71, 147) in consecrated ground. You must use fanged imp ashes to break the seal.
- Anonymous
This is in the Lower area of the Mountaintops of the Giants. the Western locked half which requires the 2 Haligtree Medallions. Once there., Look for the Albinauric's rise. (South of the Minor Erdtree)
The puzzle requires that you Summon the Fanged Imp Ashes and kill One of the 2 Imps who are there in the area.
- Anonymous
someone wrote about it it on the page for the weaker version. they said " Albinauric Rise which is to the right side of the inner Consecrated Snowfield Grace. I needed the Fanged Imp ashes to open it.
- Anonymous
Get it from the Albinaurac Rise in the secret snow area from the Haligrave medallion. Closest grace is inner consecrated snowfield. You need to use a bewitching branch on the imp to get it to fight its friend, and then the tower opens with this inside.
- Anonymous
Albinauric's Rise. Need Fanged Imp Ashes to solve the puzzle first.
- Anonymous
Located in albinauric rise in the consecrated snowfield. get there using the secret lift.

Located in Albinauric's Rise. Puzzle solution requires killing an imp while you have the Fanged Imp Ashes summon out. This can be bought from the isolated merchant down the slope from the Main Academy Gate Grace @ Raya Lucaria

apparently can be found in Albinauric Rise which is to the right side of the inner Consecrated Snowfield Grace. Someone needed the Fanged Imp ashes to open it - https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Graven-School+Talisman (first comment)

It's in Albinauric's Rise in the Consecrated Snowfield. Solve the puzzle for the seal on the tower by using a Bewitching Branch on one of the two imps to make them kill each other then go to the top of the tower for the talisman.
- Anonymous
To get this you need to go to Albinauric's Rise in the Consecrated Snowfield after finding both halves of the secret medallion to access the Haligtree. There's a puzzle out front that shows two imps fighting. Use a Bewitching Branch on one of the two imps outside the tower (it's easier if you sneak up on one then aggro the other) and once one of the imps kills the other the seal on the tower will break letting you access the talisman.

east of the inner consecrated snowfield in a sorcerer's tower. You need fanged imp ashes to open the gate

Location: Albinaruic Rise in the Mountaintops of the Giants; POS ~-72 150
You clear the rise by using a Bewitching Branch on one of the Kobolds and let them fight
