Elden Ring Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) Use

Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) can be used to operate Grand Lift of Rold. This medallion opens the path to a secret location past Lyndell, called the Consecrated Snowfield.

In order to use it you must be at the bottom of the Grand Lift of Rold and switch actions from "Hoist Medallion" to "Hoist Secret Medallion". This will not work if you are at the top of the Lift.

See Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) for the other part.

Can anyone confirm if this item is missable after certain point in the game? Lets say, after reaching the giants forge or completing Ranni's quest, as some comments tell.

why is albus, the only good man in that village? I was killing villagers left and right, until nepheli told me that they were victims. But they are attacking the player, of course we have to massacre them. Well, they still attack the tarnished and are in the way of loot, so I ended up killing all the villagers except albus.

When you run into his vase while mounted, it doesn't break like every other destructible object in the game does. This made it pretty sus to me and reason to dismount and inspect.

After doing the Ranni quest this area has changed. Unable to find the npc. Am I screwed or he is in another place?

Safe to say I wouldn't have been able to clear even 30% of the game on my own. I was for days riding around Raya Lucarya looking for a way in. It wasn't until I have up and looked it up that I could resume the game. Never would I ever have been able to discover something like this on my own. After Raya Lucarya I just started looking the smallest thing up and I don't regret it. This game is good enough though, that having been able to uncover all it's secrets on my own just to pat myself in the back is actually a way less attractive prospect than beating the game itself.

Anyone tried to get both pieces before going to roundtable hold? Considering what Albus says when you get his piece, maybe something else will happen?

You 'Vet Soulsbourne Players TM' are pretty obnoxious--I have been playing since Demon's Souls too and yeah, this guy's placement and the clues that help you find him are a little bit too obscure for a game of this scale/scope. That said, idk if it was just my monitor, or my settings, but his pot, albeit out-of-the-way, was straight up glowing for me when I did find it. Is it possible they changed the texture and/or lighting on the pot slightly in the patch to be more noticeable? If so I'd say that's a good enough change to make just visible enough without making it too obvious. Can anyone confirm?

Reply to asking how the heck you were supposed to know where to look: The old dude at the round table actually gives you a pretty good hint on how to find it (along the lines of "a guy is hiding with it in the village of Albinaurics") after you find the 1st half and his edgelord bodyguard jumps you. While still not a map marker, I'd call it above average for the directions you can expect in this game.

How are you supposed to find Albus? Dont come at me with this "just explore lmao" bs.

If there is nothing in the entire game hinting at this positioning something is wrong. I know things in darksouls were vaguely explained if they explained it at all but that doesnt look as obvious as "That boss dropped a key and an hour ago I found a closed door"

Is there any NPC, an Itemdescription, a dialogue when facing Commander Neill maybe, literally anything that points towards the tiny village in Liurna that isnt even marked on the map?

Because if not I dont know how it would have been possible to find him unless you randomly destroy everything you see. The first guy finding him and posting on this wiki then probably found him by pure luck.

This might be a silly question but ... how are you supposed to find out about this in the first place? Were people supposed to stumble upon this dude with blind luck? Or is this hinted at?

You do not need to attack or kill him. Roll into him to break the illusion, and he will simply talk to you.

Upon getting a half of the medallion, the edgelord in Roundtable will attack you as an invader next time you warp in. He drops his fist weapon, and his armor where he normally stands.
