I got this off a solider who had put his crossbow away. I was farming the four Soldiers up the hill from the Gatefront Ruins. I didn't bother killing the troll and just ran back to the Site Of Grace after backstabbing the soldiers.

i have farmed different types of soldiers who're holding this crossbow. not once did i stumble into one. do i have to make sure that they're crossbows are out when i kill them? seems counter intuitive if you ask me. i've been farming them for so long all i get is their swords, pickaxes, shields, armors, bolts, but not their crossbows. i can farm their bolts but not the actual weapon they used to use it. explain how's that possible.

You can ride away at a safe distance on your horse and take down demi-gods and dragons with this thing. You can scan a new area before going in and shoot at visible enemies to pull them to you and avoid an ambush. Damage isn't amazing, but it's not bad. You can cheese powerful melee enemies by standing somewhere they can't get you and firing 100 bolts at them.

Currently using this as my sidearm in post-story mode (I.e. I beat the story) and it is great for one shotting mobs in limgrave. It’s a great ranged weapon for an arcane build because I have minimal strength and dexterity so bows suck. (This does more damage at +24 than my short bow does at +25.) ps: I got this at the siege tower in Caelid before the impassable great bridge where the soldiers fight the t-rexes.

A good place to farm for this is right outside the entrance to Castleward Tunnel Entrance grace site. There are multiple soldiers that can drop this.

Use fire bone bolts with this to get rid of frostbite so I can re-proc it. Reliable, low costs, and good damage, all around a trustworthy sidearm for any build.

If you want it early just farm it off the soldiers by the gatefront. Use the wolf summons to help and distract. Heck even the giant will jump down and cause collateral damage to the soldiers while swinging at you.

Best looking crossbow in the game. The design of the stock is better than the others and the lack of the ring hoop at the front is good. The crepus crossbow just looks silly.

The best place I've found to get this weapon is to go back out the door from Castleward Tunnel grace and kill the guys hiding in the foliage to the right of the road.

Killed idk how many Mausoleums over the coarse of 30 minutes, went to Gate front and did 10 sets, got 2 on the 10th run. 252 disc with beetle, foot, silver mask, tear

I've been farming bother the Gate front and Mausoleum soldiers for two days now and still haven't gotten it to drop

I've killed a minimum of 500 Mausoleum soldiers at this point and haven't seen the drop with 80 Arcane. The RNG in this game is so punishing for what?

can confirm it drops from the godrick soldiers outside the gatefront grace in limgrave, it must be semi common as I got it on a whim with no farming
