Illusory Walls are the Hidden Walls of Elden Ring that must be struck to reveal a hidden path beyond. These walls are not immediately obvious, but if you find yourself stuck in a location without a way to progress, it is very likely that you have to hit a nearby wall. This page features all hidden walls in Elden Ring.

There's tons missing from this list. Ruins tend to be a Hotspot for illusory walls and floors. The best thing to do is buy margits shackle early from patches. It costs 5000 which is steep in the early game but it clears every wall and floor inside a ludocrisly massive range. For real I can't overstate how huge the range of the shackles in. Fair warning it'll active and deactivate traps like those pillars that spit fire.

        LUNAR ESTATE RUINS
Far in the eastern section, there is a cellar hidden behind an illusory wall in the dilapidated building. Look for the usual rectangular shape on the ground, then roll onto it to dispel the illusion.

        • Random Fun Fact: If you get behind an illusory wall without destroying it, it's completely see-through from the back, and just looks like empty space. The only one that I know of right now that you can do this with is the one in the Academy Crystal Cave. With a fairly easy jump in the room with the Rune Arc chest, you can get up on the ledge that you're supposed to access through the illusory wall.

The one where you get the uchigatana is missing. On deaththouched catacombs, the first big open room that you find, use margit's shackles to make the wall dissapear easilyl.

Also there are like 5 skeletons on that big open room.

Illusory walls are mostly just bad game design, some of them are good as they stand out in one way or another. But sometimes they just have the same texture and look as the surrounding area. The hinting is simply to poor and it makes a player paranoid and you start hitting every darn wall...

Note Hidden Cave: North of Church of the Plague site of grace, behind the sorcerer at the tombstones. Entrance is a illusory wall and there are many in it

Sages Cave actually has like 10 or so illusory walls. If you know it`s "that" kind of dungeon, they are easy to spot tho.

In the Caelid catacombs, under the stairs in the room with the large plant. Behind the wall is a small rot plan and Miranda’s sprout ashes.

There's a second illusion wall in volcano manner that takes like 50 hits it doesn't appear to have anything inside the room though.

                          • Anonymous

The "50 times hit" in vulcano manor is not an illusory wall because it respawn after reload the map. So it's clearly an oversight.

SUPPOSEDLY (I still have to test it) Margit's Shackle can trigger invisible walls in a surprising range. Saw this on Twitter, don't blame on me if it isn't that useful or it gets patched.

Some illusory walls take multiple hits to reveal. Check iron pineapples twitter for an example. One of them being the wall behind the guy in volcano manor who sells multiple weapon arts in his chair. Afaik it's legit but it took a lot of hits to reveal.

In the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave, there is a hidden wall. At the site of grace, go down the stairs and turn right. Hit the wall on the left and it'll show a hidden pathway

Caelid catacombs - in the room with big flower and skeleton archer - you need to go under the platform where the archer stands and hit a wall on left. There are two grave flowers and ashes of Miranda sprout - beware 4 flowers will spawn on you.

Location: when you see the skeleton archer and a stairs leading to a pool of scarlet rot, under the archer you see those plant enemies. To the right side of the mass of… jars? Leading under the stairs is the wall

61 hours and I never saw a single ilusory wall. I see a bunch of well apraised messages indicating an ilusory wall but when I hit, nothing happens. It's possible that my game is bugged (pc) or the way to trigger those walls are different from dark souls? I'm saying that because until some days ago it was impossible to see those red ghosts from blood stains then the server went in maintenance and when came back the ghosts appeared.
