Incantation Scarab is a Helm in Elden Ring. Incantation Scarab has an intricate design of a scarab that can be worn over the warrior's head. Incantation Scarab protect the player's head by applying various defensive properties, it also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Golden scarab worn directly on the head.
These scarabs roll clumps of incantations during their labors.
Slightly reduces the FP costs of incantations, but increases damage taken.
As a scarab approaches death, it abandons its rolled treasure and stretches its wings wide for long journey to its home nest.

The wiki says that the painting is located in the "Artist's shack", what it doesn't say is that the one you need to find is in Limgrave, not Liurnia as the link shows.
If you want to see where exactly, click on the paintings name and locate the shack through that page.

"As a scarab approaches death, it abandons its rolled treasure and stretches its wings wide for long journey to its home nest"
This sentence let me think that - MAYBE - if you wear it a certain time, something happens with the helmet.. sounds like something for me.. any answers?

"Slghtly reduces"... 15% is not at all a slight reduction. This is dope as hell.
Tested March 23rd 2022, this seems to be working and is no longer broken
Blessing's Boon reduced from 30 to 26
Dragonclaw reduced from 42 to 36
Rotten Breath reduced from 36 to 31
These values seem to roughly align with the stated 15% reduction

Glintstone scarab is lowering FP by 15 not scarab headband. My mistake above.

Wrong scarab for lowering FP by 15. That would be the Scarab Headband.

The Incantation Scarab helmet is NOT bugged, it does reduce FP cost when using Incantations while equipped, I tested it with lightening bolt several times and it gave me an extra cast every time.

The bug is not bugged. My Catch Flame does get reduced from 10 fp to 9 fp (at least a 10% difference).

I don't think the ghost will appear if you've progressed far enough in the story for the world to undergo a major visual/environmental change. I have the painting and have visited the grave but the ghost won't spawn.

"(This item is bugged - the reduce FP is not applied on incantations nor spells - March 2022)"
It will always be "bugged" in a way

It says its bugged, but it very well could be meant to be similar to farron ring where it reduces fp for weapon arts

Comparing this to the Banished Knight Helm, equipping this dropped my damage reduction by about -10%
Not sure how much it reduces FP cost by, but looks like 10-15%?
Not worth it IMO, but could be if you think wearing a bug on your head is funny.
