For str faith just put sacred on the iron sword for similar AR value to this at 60 str and 30 faith. 751 for iron greatsword and 735 for this. At 30 str and 60 faith iron greatsword has 786 and this has 778. This does have 30% bonus damage against the undead but you can just put sacred order as ash of war on iron greatsword for 100% increase. This will still be able to prevent skeletons from reviving tho, but if that was your goal golden epitaph is a much more efficient weapon. But for big enemies like death birds, greatswords with sacred order are better.

Ahh, yes. Now I can roleplay as Fierce Deity Link; beam and all!

I love how you can actually hear him smile when he says "the rotten witch is dead". f you fia. honeyed rays of gold, deliver my spirit.

Interesting Fashion Souls interaction, not only does this sword have the smoothest R1 moveset for greatswords, but when placed in the offhand its tip is held at a slightly lower angle than other greatswords, and while other greatswords are sheathed on the back when two-handing, this sword is sheathed at the hip. Very interesting weapon that’s relatively rare to see.
- Anonymous
Melts those deathbirds like butter. At 50 faith the weapon art chunks them for 3.6k.
- Anonymous
Crazy how the wielder of this sword named himself after his signature weapon's physical scaling

Have to go through so much trouble to get that bloody sword.
- Anonymous
it’s a shame they couldn’t put some form of trick weapons into elden ring. inseparable sword kinda reminds me of the blade of mercy. it’d be really cool if it could break off into two straight swords
- Anonymous
when you stow this sword it goes on your belt buckle, instead of on your back, like all other greatswords. very neat!

If you’re like me and are the type that keeps all your stuff in your chest instead of on your character, make sure you do NOT store the twinned set. It’s confusing because D’s brother will still give you the emote even if you don’t give him the set making you think you did. Then later on when you finish Fia’s quest D’s brother will not show up after resting and you’ll be locked from getting this weapon unless you find another player to trade one to you. Not a huge hassle but still, kinda annoying that you aren’t reminded at all to grab the armor before talking to him.
- Anonymous
Can I get this weapon but still have the Twinned Set in the same playthrough or do I have to part with Twinned set for it
- Anonymous
Can anyone fill me in on this:
"The inseparable twins found solace in the Golden Order,
the only institution not to revile them as accursed beings."
What exactly were the twins to be seen as cursed by everyone else?
- Anonymous
Oddly enough if you use this in your left hand it doesn’t kill skeletons on the first blow. You still have to double tap them.
- Anonymous
not sure as to why but when held in the left hand this sword is held at a lower angle, like a straight sword or dagger in the left hand. I haven't found another greatsword that does the same
- Anonymous
Appears that D's brother won't go to Fia and kill her if you give her the death rune you get from Ranni's questline, which locks you out of getting this weapon. I gave him the the twinned set and even summoned him for the gargoyles boss fight for that exact reason. He robbed me and ran, the bastard... I get that I did the those areas out of order slightly if I met Fia first, but tbh its very easy to miss D's brother and that area if you grab the finger slayer blade and leave through the portal, like the game expects you to do. Its a bummer cuz this looks like a great sword (no pun intended) to power stance with the blasphemous blade.

The 1.04 patch that buffed Sacred Blade's speed has massively benefited this sword. It's already been very good before, now it's even better. Highly recommend!

Just so everyone knows, this & Golden Epitaph are the only weapons that can kill undead without a buff & the extra hit usually needed.
Seems to be a bit of discourse that either all holy weapons or certain skills can (but actually cant). There are 2 body buffs that can be applied so any weapon can do this within a time limit, Shared order which is fine, but the 2nd is Last rights from Golden Epitaph which gives a greater holy damage buff, to the group, but neither can be stacked with Golden Vow.
There is at least one incantation & art of war that can also produce this effect. Holy grease will not.
- Anonymous
I also found this by completing Fia's quest before D died and he's at Fia's dead body
- Anonymous
I waited to return the armor until after dealing with Fia's dragon and getting her robes, you can run back give him the armor and rest at the grace to have him appear gloating over her.

Best faith greatsword for PvP, if you've played DS2 it's the equivalent of Defender's Greatsword, it even has the same moveset.

So basically... the Sunlight counterpart to our guiding moonlight?

MF killed Fia and I ain't even greatsword user. So I killed D and got this weapon.

The blade used to kill Fia if you let it happen. Know what I say? D's nuts!
- Anonymous
Honestly, it stands to reason that both of the physical stats on this have D scaling.
- Anonymous
Interestingly this is the only greatsword that when powerstanceing in your left hand the tip of the blade is angled down instead of up
- Anonymous
Fun thing. Fia's quest seemed to inniciate itself after beating Fire Giant and visiting Faram Azula. D was in a previously closed room with Death vines sticking out of him and his armor was lootable.
So I visited D's brother, dropped the armor off, finished Deeproot Depths, got the Death Rune and Fia's Set from her corpse, and reloaded again to see D's brother there gloating.
Then I killed the kid and took his gear too. No fuss and minimal effort to track the story.
- Anonymous
Any hints as to why it says other institutions reviled them as accursed beings?
- Anonymous
Nobody seems to mention that this sword has the ability to stop undead enemies from reviving (Passive, without using its special). And before someone says again that holy damage is what stops the revive, that is false. I tested that with Coded Sword which deals only holy damage and the skeletons still revive, same as for any other holy damage weapon I tested.
- Anonymous
Can kill undead things without the sacred blade buff. Prevents resurrection like golden epitaph.
- Anonymous
Seems like he won’t accept the armor just says “ahh- ahh, da-daaa… nah…nnnnnngh…” I think I wore the armor possibly modified it can’t remember… I tried to give it back with the cape on it. Can I still get the sword or am I trying again in NG+ ?

if you kill fia yourself after beating her champions and saying you will reloading the area will also leave the twinned set and the sword
- Anonymous
TO GET THE SWORD:
Step 1. Acquire the Twinned Armor set from killing D.
Step 2. Hand over the Twinned Armor set to D's Twin Brother in Siofra Aqueduct, Nokron, Eternal City.
Step 3. Complete Fia's Champion boss fight at Prince of Death's Throne, Deeproot Depths.
Step 4:
- IF YOU FOLLOWED FIA'S QUESTLINE + FOUGHT LICHDRAGON FORTISSAX: Acquire the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince from Fia's Body and rest at the grace. D's Twin Brother will spawn at Fia's body. After exhausting his dialogue, rest at the grace again and the Inseperable Sword should be on the ground.
- IF YOU DID NOT FOLLOW FIA'S QUESTLINE: (Not too sure about this path, but this is how I did it personally) Kill Fia and rest at the grace. The Inseperable Sword should be on the ground.
- Anonymous
After I accidentally killed Fia, because I was on fire D's brother couldn't kill her and I can't get the sword. Now, with patch 1.03 I revisited the area and the sword and the armor lay on the ground were Fia was.
- Anonymous
This should have been an INT/Faith weapon, I really want to do a fundamentalist build but it sucks that night and flame is the only dual scaling weapon :/
- Anonymous
seems completely inferior too knights greatsword w/ holy infusion which is longer and can have any ashe but with same moveset knights also has lower str/dex requirements

Test-Anon here with a comparison between the three popular Faith Greatswords. I'm comparing the Inseperable Sword, Golden Order Greatsword and Sacred Relic Sword witth each other and hope these numbers will help you form an informed decision on which weapon to use and upgrade according to your build. All tests were conducted with each weapon being at +10.
18 STR | 24 DEX | 28 FTH (Base Requirements met)
Inseperable Sword 679 (+85 Holy Damage for 30 secs)
Golden Order Greatsword 657
Sacred Relic Sword 653
-------------------------
18 STR | 24 DEX | 50 FTH
Inseperable Sword 755 (+85 Holy Damage for 30 secs)
Golden Order Greatsword 743
Sacred Relic Sword 688
-------------------------
18 STR | 50 DEX | 28 FTH
Inseperable Sword 717 (+85 Holy Damage for 30 secs)
Golden Order Greatsword 694
Sacred Relic Sword 748
-------------------------
18 STR | 24 DEX | 80 FTH
Inseperable Sword 794 (+85 Holy Damage for 30 secs)
Golden Order Greatsword 786
Sacred Relic Sword 706
Quick Facts:
- Inseperable Greatsword and Golden Order Greatsword primarily benefit off of Faith, Sacred Relic Sword is DEX and STR is negligible
- Inseperable Greatsword's 2-handed moveset uses the Hollowslayer's moveset
- Ashe of War damage comparison: Golder Order Greatsword (requires both casts) > Sacred Relic Sword > Inseperable Sword
- Inseperable Sword's Ashe of War does deal respectable damage, is the quickest to use and buffs the sword, making it overall my prefered weapon of the three to use
- Anonymous
18str 18dex 60fai at +9 with holy boost talisman and weapon art it does 861 damage so far my favourite holy/faith weapon in the entire game
- Anonymous
A greatsword that embodies the relationship of two inseperable twins?
I wonder if I can use it to shoot out beams of light, or cover the ground in fire
- Anonymous
Decided to retire my Gargoyle's Blackblade in favor of this one on my Paladin build and have had no regrets. Been loving it for PvE and PvP
Lower base damage, but way more faith scaling. Sacred Blade ashes also more than makes up for it with the damage buff and can take out those pesky skeletons.
Can't be buffed with magic either or items, but the weapon art is pretty close for a unique weapon.
The Blade length about equal, the 2H R1 combo is better.
- Anonymous
Pretty sure this weapon has a unique 2H 4x soft attack combo. Seems like an amazing sword to roll catch
- Anonymous
Don’t Alter the Armor before you go and give it to the brother. He won’t accept it.
- Anonymous
Anyone knows how to use its pierce moveset? I have been trying all the attack variants but there are all slashes...

People seem to have this way off...
If you progress the fia quest normally and give the brother the armor.
He will show up after you finish fias quest so you get everything from that.
He will kill fia so you get her set.
Then kill himself so if you just reset the zone you will get all of the armor back and the sword
No out of order killing necessary
- Anonymous
kills skeletons without needing use sacred blade first, kinda poggers
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
If you want to keep D’s armor set and also get this sword make sure not to give D’s brother the armor until after you complete Fia’s quest line by defeating Fortisaxx in the Death Bed dream. After you do that and collect Fia’s rune go back and give D’s brother the armor. Then go back to where you left Fia and kill him. He’ll drop both the armor set and the sword
- Anonymous
Mimic + Scarlet Rot made the boss fight before getting this decently easy.
- Anonymous
so i've killed D on first encounter. gave the armor to brother, then he attacked me after a bonfire reset (guess because i killed his brother?), and just dropped the sword. no quests or whatsoever.
Does anyone know If I can kill him, do Fia's stuff to kill the secret boss then use Church of Vows's resolution to bring him back?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
This, the knight and banished greatsword's have the hollowslayer style r1
- Anonymous
important note: if you kill Fia yourself at the Prince of death's throne then you lock yourself out of both fias questline and this part with D. I killed her on accident and then gave D 's Brother the armor and nothing happened anywhere :/
- Anonymous
correction: you don't get the sword after you gave D's younger brother the armor set. you get it after the questline ends and he killed Fia together with the armor, after you reload the area and he is gone.
- Anonymous
can I get the sword and the armour or is it
One or the other cos not to sound evil if it mean I’ll get to be d the Hunter I’ll kill his brother

Absolute Sigma.
