Does it stack with itself? For instance if I poison someone and then proc bleed, does the effect occur twice or is the duration only refreshed?

Hmm I wonder if you slap poison weapon incantation onto Varres Bouquet you could get a reliable double rot and bleed exultation combination...?
- Anonymous
Use with Fetid Pots as it automatically triggers poison on yourself.

above said its also affecting spell. is that mean it work with bow as well as long as you stay in close range?

This works so well with the bloodloss one if you use the venomous fang with white shadow lure and bloodloss modification it’s a claw that price with 74 bloodloss and 84 poison proc

Build? No. This is a setup.
A build involves changing your stats. With this, simply equip talisman and poison resin, poison mist AoW, or poison armament spell (10 FTH, no ARC).
Any STR or DEX build can use this setup, as long as the weapon is buffable or accepts AoW. Poison mist AoW has incredible HA and damage for colossal weapons. Easily one of the best AoW for larger weapons if combined with this talisman.

Yet to test but summoning the mimic tear with your saved raw meat dumplings on the item bar should result in this being procced often enough with no loss of dumplings.

If only it was based on just being nearby something with poison, that way you keep the buff as long as you stay in range and the duration problem is solved.

Try using poison moth flight to reset the enemies poison status so you can proc it again
This needs a buff.
- Poison or Rot are significantly less effective than bleed (damage over time instead of burst damage)
- poison or rot cant be as easily proccd on oneself as bleed can with seppuku
-There are way more weapons that can inflict bleed than weapons that inflict rot or poison
-Poison or rot inflict damage over time and cant be easily proccd after applying since you have to wait until it wears off.
I would like this buff to be longer like 40 seconds, maybe a little stronger too. Atleast to outlast rot or poison to get the buff again. Maybe it could be a little stronger, most weapons that are natevily able to inflict these Status ailments are mediocre otherwise.
Sorry for the rant. Just a little frustrated about the potential.

At first sight, this might look promising to most of us niche poison builds, you gain a damage buff for enemies that are affected by poison/rot in your vicinity? Very interesting! Maybe we can start utilizing some of those crafting materials to make Poisonbone Darts and Fetid Pots for once! But no, of course it has to be awful, poison builds are always shafted in these games. You gain a 20% damage increase for twenty seconds, this may sound good but it is incredibly misleading. The damage bonus in reality is measly, being something more like 20-25 points of damage per attack, not 20%. And by the time you apply it to your enemy they'll likely be dead anyway, especially in PVE. Already this is garbage, but what makes it worse is that with your 20 seconds, you can't even have the equivalent of an extra hit in the time it would run out. Not only that, but you have to re-apply it in order to get the buff again, the problem with this is that poison lasts up to two minutes, and even with Deadly Poison/Rot that's still somewhere around thirty seconds, so you'd better hope there's another enemy in your vicinity that's got enough health to withstand your blows. Unironically wear the Carian Filigreed Crest, it weighs less and is more reliable.

I thing there is a bug where this talisman doesn´t trigger after Rot Breath or Ekzyke´s. Could someone go and check?
- Anonymous
IMO works decently with Scarlet Aeonia and the Haligtree Soldier Ashes as they tend to throw poison pots at their enemies before they move in for melee. Still not as good as Lord of Blood's exaltation though especially if you have a bleed focused build.

Hi, does anyone know if the buff persists if you proc poison then unequip the talisman?

It's easier to inflict poison with poison bone knives or clumps and if you have something to inflict rot, you use it after your 20 seconds is up from the poison.
Blood Exhaulation is better for being easier to inflict bleed and being able to inflict bleed continuously compared to this talisman as you have to wait for poison or rot to finish it's duration. But this talisman is easier to use if you have a means to inflict poison and rot quickly and take advantage of the 20 seconds. Activating once in awhile might just be all you need to kill the enemy and waiting out on rot and poison will kill them before you need a second activation in the first place.
Kinda wish there was a variant of Seppuku that gave you a weak poison to trigger this.

Description reminds of Khornite philosophy. ROT FOR THE ROT GODDESS!

Shall we take vicinity literally (as in, enough that it is near you) or does it require you to actually be inflicted by poison or rot?

Works well with deadly poison since you only have to wait 10 secs after the buff expires to re-apply. Even faster with poison moth flight if you want to add burst damage in addition to almost instantaneous ability to re-apply poison.

I thought it meant when poison or rots in the area like on the ground same with the blood one

Works with Ekzyke's Decay if the caster uses a raw meat dumpling to poison self. You're welcome.

My current strategy for triggering his is Fetid Pots + a low immunity set. I personally wear the Drake Knight Set, which suits my character and has very low immunity. Fetid Pots build up Deadly Poison, so it runs out more quickly and does less damage over time. On top of that, you might also poison the enemy in the process and can re-apply at will.
- Anonymous
The fact that it's time based and not duration based makes it far too niche to use. It makes sense on the bleed version - Bleed is meant to be spammable, constantly reapplied so a talisman that increases dmg each time someone bleeds for some 20 seconds works perfectly in bleed builds. Poison/rot meanwhile is meant to be applied and stay on the enemy for a minute or longer and it cannot be reapplied until its duration expires so it just doesnt compliment this talisman

In Ng+ you can infuse and dual-wield two Scavengers Curved Swords with poison. Then you get bleed & poison plus extra swings with each jump attack. Using this talisman with the LoB exultation talisman is already OP, plus you can use the raptor cloak/talisman and winged sword insignia for maximum wrecking.

I noticed some people commenting that this talisman does not stack with Lord of bloods exultation talisman because they both give 20% damage boost boost but this is not true these 2 talismans 100% stack with each other so you can disregard all the comments saying other I tested it myself by procing them both more then 5 different ways and they stacked with each other every single time as of the latest patch 1.04.

Based on my observation, buff only triggers when poison/rot triggers not the remainder duration of the affliction. And u have to be very close to the enemy that gets the poison/rot. I tested this rotten breath

does the 20 second expiry timer start when the poison procs or when there is no poison effect nearby?

Keep in mind that using Raw Meat Dumpling will activate the effect. It's really effective.

This page mentions using Bloodflame Blade to enhance crossbows, and mentions the pulley crossbow specifically.
But HOW would I use it that way?
can't seem to use it with my pulley crossbow equipped, have tried both main hand and offhand
- Anonymous
If you're using bow or crossbows, you need to be at almost pointblank range to trigger the buff

This does not stack with multiple instances of poison or rot procs. Does seem to reset the timer though it will kto do the green lil buff thing again if you reproc while having the buff already on.
Does stack woth golden vow, braggots roar, rotten winged sword insignia and counter part to previous mentioned Talisman. Does work if you are poisoned or rotted. Works with ashes of war, darts and poison bombs. Works with poison/rot environmental procs. Works from bosses being proced or procing you or allies.
Even iff allies proc it it will work as well.
ONLY WORK IN MELEE RANGE AND DOES NOT STACK WOTH MULTIPLE PROCS. TESTED ON PS 04/17/2022 by grand_sheba

Went from 751 to 901 with 2H Blood Greatsword+25 after poisoning Commander Niall with poison bone bolt. 85 STR.

Flame Cleanse Me does not stack with this but completely trumps this, especially if fire dmg and physical both. Skip this.

From what I can tell this basically procs a 20 second 15%ish damage buff to melee and spells provided your are close to the target when the poison first hits. A new target will reactivate the buff if it drops even if the old target is still alive and taking poison ticks.

They really need to buff this by extending the duration of the dmg buff to 60s. Poison is easy to trigger yes, but unlike Bleed you can't keep triggering it once the target has been poisoned. It makes more sense to have the Lord of Blood's Exultation to only last 20s due to bleed being easily triggered over and over than this talisman since poison lasts for 3 mins. So essentially you'll only get 20s of dmg buff every 3 or so mins.

Anyone know if this both stacks with Lord of Blood Exultation? Or if it stacks between poison and rot for a 40% buff?
- Anonymous
When it says nearby it actually means it, if you're trying to proc this using a ranged weapon you have to be really close to whatever enemy you poison.
What other things does this stack with? Does it stack with itself?
- Anonymous
Does this increase damage of ranged damage or is it only melee?
- Anonymous
Does the attack power boost also apply to spells? So if I rot/poison someone in my vicinity, do I deal more damage with Lightning Spear or Glintstone Pebble etc.?

After some testing, Deadly poison ( only appllied through serpent bone, and serpent ar rows as w ell as poison spraymist) can poison a well armored person in 4-5 shots using a regular bow and only two shots u sing a serpent bow and SERPENT arrows.
I even tested it using the mushroom set + the talisman, it took 3 shots for the s erpent arrow and 2 extra shots for the regular bow.
Now why is this significant? because deadly poison ticks down in 30seconds vs regular poison which is 90 seconds. So not only does it do3x the tick the damage it a lso only lasts 1/3 of the length so instead of like an 70 second down time on th is talisman you'd only get a 10 second down time..
now for pvp this is somewhat better because players will use boluses wh ich means the uptime on this talisman can go up drastically if you're constantly poisoning and repoisoning your enemy, especially when u combine th is with p oison spraymist and Fetid pot, you can totally keep poison on players.
Tested this and Lord of Blood's Exultation together and got some interesting results.
Setup - 2x +19 Blood Uchigatanas, 13Str/30Dex/72 Arcane. Base AP - 359. Blood buff only - 431 AP (72 increase, ~16.7%). Poison buff only - 444 AP ( 85 increase, ~19.7%). Both buffs together - 517 AP (158 increase, ~35.8%). Both buffs last about 20 seconds.
It would appear that these buffs do stack additively. The only issue is that you have to be relatively close to the mob to receive the buff, so be mindful of your range if you're attempting to proc either of them with a bow or spell.

Bleed Antspurs rapier (duel wield if possible) + this + lord of bloods exultation
You're welcome
This + Lord of blood talisman + RFBS + Golden Vow + Warrior Jar Shard can still be used to melt bosses in 2/3 shots even after the RKR/Determination nerf, you just gotta use the weapon art on Death's Poker now. Before you enter the arena, poison yourself with fetid pots and apply bleed to yourself with seppuku.

If you want to squeeze as much use out of this as possible I'd recommend:
1: Applying rot to your enemy with incantations or weapons
2: Then apply poison to your enemy with weapons, items or incantations. Poison armament can work, but if you're applying a buff to your weapon there's better options out there. I'd recommend just using a poison dagger or spamming poison darts.
3: Once the buffs have run out and your opponent/s are chugging potions like crazy, pull out your trump card. Raw Meat dumplings. They'll heal you and self afflict poison, extending the buff. Cleanse it if you want but if you're dipping into meat dumplings that means the fight has already lasted 40-60 seconds, you might not even need the buff at this point.
Not a very good item because poison isn't great and is easily cleansed if people get a second to breathe. Could be fun though, and would be great against bosses.

Such a disappointingly underpowered talisman, and only because of the way they implemented how it works. Poison is like the newphew of Bleed, only with down syndrome. This talisman could've given it a reason to exist in PvP and it just turns out to be an objectively worse version of the bleed one. It triggers once, adds the same damage modifier, lasts exactly as long as the other talisman and cannot be triggered again as long as poison runs. Sure you can also get it from Scarlet Rot, but if your opponent gets hit by that they might as well just go lay down in a ditch anyway.
It's totally outclassed. The one shining bright spot that poison builds might have had. This 100% should be active as long as poison is and not just once it triggers.

Does the effect stack if you hit something with Poison and Rot?
- Anonymous
This does not work with Rotten Breath or Ekzykes’s Decay unfortunately
Could you use this and the Blood one with a Poison and Bleed wep in each hand? Could work for arcane.

This Talisman is amazing. The attack rating increase is around 15% based off of your current attack power at the time of proc. From a base of 320 AR, stacking the buff with Golden Vow and getting a proc takes me to roughly 420, blaze it.

Intended to be used with Poison Mist Flight to end the poison effect so you can poison the enemy again?
- Anonymous
I did some testing:
For this and the helm to activate, the psn/rot afflication needs to be close to you.
IT LASTS 20 SECONDS AND THE DMG INCREASE IS ~20%
(10% from mushroom helm) It does wotk with Erdtree greatshield (if you use raw meat dumpling)
I think it also might work with spells.
have fun!

This is absolutely worthless. It lasts roughly around 10-15 seconds and it will not proc again until you cure poison and get poisoned again. This is a waste of a talisman slot.
- Anonymous
I tried this together with the mushroom hat with a +9 Dragon Halberd and poison pots on some beeffy enemies. Normal R1 without the items: 647. R1 with items and a nearby poisoned enemy: 667. This gotta be a joke.

On a 54/40/7 vagabond start quality build, Poison infusion represents a roughly 10% damage decrease compared to Quality on the two-handed Claymore. Even with dump arcane, you will likely poison in one or two hits, proccing this (and the mushroom crown, if equipped) for a 20+% damage increase, pushing the Poison Claymore AR above that of the Quality Claymore, plus the poison DoT! So that should be compelling evidence both that poison builds are quite viable and that quality builds aren't so much.
