I love these guys. Poison land mines that block enemies, take tons of damage, and take aggro when needed. I just wish they'd spawn in advantageous positions. Most of the time the game dumps them in a corner somewhere in the arena.

These little dudes did SO much work against the Magma Wyrm in Gael Tunnel. I tried to kill it 3 times yesterday using the jellyfish to no success, but the lil land squirts kept him from swinging at me until about 3/4 of his HP was gone.

The trio scoot themselves about a little, despite their description saying they are rooted. They have predetermined spawn locations for each area you can summon them in which makes them highly situational allies.

They are some of the tankiest summons I know of, boasting something like 10k HP each at level 10. They make for great meat shields, especially for aggressive bosses that like to charge in. Their poison AoE both does solid damage and keeps aggro so you can focus on damage, and I've even had a few late game bosses get fully stuck on them while trying to run at me. For enemies that jump around a lot, you're likely better off using something else.

They explode when taking poison or rot damage just like normal land squirts, and the AoE left behind can poison you.
