The guy gave us the letter that Tanith gave to him, and expected us to kill the mark she had given him.
Best part is that you have to reload the area and ask for the reward, which is the reward he got from Tanith when he likely took credit for our kill. lol xD

I barley found patches in the hallway after already killing rykard and doing every assassination and i'm pretty sure i didn't the letter is it too late for me

Keep in mind that it doesn’t actually mark the “exact” location on the map. Just the general area. The red sign is actually closer to the grace.
I had missed him completely, found him in the cave after already having done 2 assassinations, then the manor at which point I spoke to him and got the letter.

i did this quest and even talked to him at the end and still didnt get the letter and even if i did i dont see the assassination marker

Patches will not give you his letter until you talk to Tanith after completing your first assassination.

The summon sign for this Contract is in the magma wyrm boss room. Easy to find if you have the grace there unlocked

Pretty sure I missed out on this. Patches left Volcano Manor when I talked to him between the two official assassination missions. Never got the letter and can't find him...

Said this on Patches' page but I got the letter after doing one assassination, not two

pretty funny that Tanith gave this assignment to Patches, obviously not expecting him to survive The Great Horned One
