Liurnia of the Lakes is one of the major continental areas in the world of Elden Ring. Found northwest of the starting area of Limgrave, this region has been the common backdrop of pre-launch images of the game, notably due to the prominent placement of The Academy of Raya Lucaria overlooking the misty lake below. It can be initially accessed via the passage beneath Godrick the Grafted's throne room in Stormveil Castle, or by following a narrow cliffside path around the east edge of the castle in northern Stormhill.

With its shallow waters and vast wetlands, the region of Liurnia is beset with the gradual sinking of most of its landmass. With its forests perpetually blanketed in fog, eerie sounds of bells can be heard in the distance.

Just discovered the fallen ruins of the lakes grace after 500 hours. Helpful since it's the closest to the rose church.

I call this place "Liurnia dos Largos" because 'lake' in portuguise is "lago" but if you add a 'r' in the middle you have a word that means a person with a stretched backhole. "Liurnia dos Largos" means "Liurnia of the Sodomized Men".

It makes you want to quit. It's not bad though it's...sad? It's like visiting uncle Joe in prison ypu gotta do it every year. Then at the end grandma is happy you did it. Liurnia is worth it. Also the academy alone is chefs kiss, fun, pretty, has a Jar.

Anyone got a list of which quests the secret path from Limgrave skips? If there is more than one. All I know if is Roderika's.

The gankers dream. virtually no enemies, perfectly flat, no cover, high lightning advantage, and a nice central point in the middle of it all where people can summon their level 10 billion summons and bully invaders for hours.

Add Shield Bash ash of war, closest site of grace: Sorcerers Isle, approx. coordinates: -127.6 by 58.7, underneath the northern bridge on a miniature isle, it teleports so use Assassin's Approach or Gambit and/or snipe it with your bow or staff like I did. Must have for "The Wall" build paired with Shield Crash on Bloody Fingerprint Stone Shields due to ability to sudden death with increased madness buildup combined with even much higher hemhoragging buildup.

Does anyone know where the opening quote ("With its shallow waters and vast wetlands, the region of Liurnia is beset with the gradual sinking of most of its landmass. With its forests perpetually blanketed in fog, eerie sounds of bells can be heard in the distance") come from exactly? Is it from the game? Thanks!

I thought nothing could be worse than swamp forests in Piranha Bytes games, until I saw them in Liurnia. Almost no distinctive landscape features, low visibility, minimal biome details, monotonous and repetitive environment, same picture everywhere in any direction, and they stretch for miles. On top of poor design, they provide very few worthy points of interest except for some quest-related content. The most annoying and the least rewarding place for exploration I've ever seen in games.

What the hell does this silly name even mean? And where are the "lakes"? All I'm seeing is a stupidly large, lake sized puddle that I can walk on from one end to the other. I mean, is this even possible? A huge body of water about as deep as my ankles can't possibly stay like that, right?

I have killed Rennala and the Erdtree Avatar and can still summon for co-op in the area. Not sure what locks you out of it for this place.

The Bloodhound Knight boss is missing from the "Field Bosses and Bosses" list. He's located in Lakeside Crystal Cave.

Could the reason this place is sinking be because of Astel? He's right underneath it so maybe he's pulling the whole thing down towards him.

I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to answer but can a place even really sink into a lake? Since it's like ankle deep wouldn't it be more accurate for this to be called a bog or a marsh? Obviously one reason might be that those don't sound as nice but I'm a little curious if there's more to it.

I think entering this zone before talking to Ranni at the church of Elleh when she gives you the bell and wolf ashes is the trigger for her to disappear until after you kill Radahn.

There is a town of Jars called “Jartown” lol. It’s south east of the artist shack in east Liurnia. You have to platform down on the jutting grave stones facing out towards the sea. It’s right near where Alexander spawns after doing Radahn.

Found two crystal people near large crystals west of Folly on the Lake grace. Tedious fight. They weren't even a field boss. No rewards.

idk how to add to the map, but theres a small town called Jarsburg with a grace just below the Carian tower, slightly down and to the right on the map. Full of jar guys

                                          • It's missing the Field Boss: Death Rite Bird, which spawns only at night, just south of the Gate Town North grace
