Lord's Divine Fortification is an Incantation in Elden Ring. Lord's Divine Fortification spell grants a holy damage negation increase.

Incantation taught to Gideon the All-Knowing by the Two Fingers.

Greatly increases holy damage negation for the caster and nearby allies.
Hold to continue praying and delay activation.

Gideon gained true knowledge after his long exchange with the Two Fingers - discovering all had been broken long ago; that the trembling fingers, bent with age, and the Erdtree itself, were no exception.

the description and the fact that this is a Two Fingers incantation, not an Erdtree Worship one like all the other big affinity defense aura buffs, leads me to believe that the Fingers have intended for a long time to betray Order and the Erdtree

everyone's talking about how useful this is for the final boss, but is this not completely worthless for the rest of the game? I think Envoys deal holy damage, and that one Leonine in the snowfield. Goldfrey seems like he maybe should, but he's pure physical. Morgott has a decent amount of holy attacks, but only the hammer even does enough damage that extra resistance matters much. So 2 bosses, a miniboss, and a single really uncommon enemy type. I'm sure it's more useful in PvP but man this spell is really hurting for versatility

        • Corrected the second method of obtaining. After beating Maliketh, all of Gideon's quest rewards (Discovering Haligtree or Moghwyn Dynasty Grounds, and defeating Mohg, Lord of Blood or Malenia, Blade of Miquella) become available at the Twin Maidens, when I fulfilled none of the requirements prior.

Must have for elden beast and radagon, couldn't get into phase 2 elden beast, put this on, and melted him with pest treads

I'm sorry why is the great holy barrier 27 faith when the other 3 barriers are all 24 faith? It doesn't make any sense.

You don't have to kill Malenia or Gideon for this, it'll appear in the Twin Maiden shop after visiting the Haligtree and completing Farum Azula.

I already had this before I killed Malania? how is that possible? At least after I beat her, I went to the twin maiden husks, and it was already in my inventory.

This with haligtree talisman +2 makes radagon only deal 113 damage to me,
It will take 11 hits from the final boss to kill me with 1 incant and a talisman, at 37 vigor.

As with all the greater fortification spells, it is more effective with lower resistance prior to cast. 12% holy resistance goes to 65%, where as 40% resistance will only buff to roughly 73%. So you can focus more on physical resistances and buff for magic variants

faith builds hate him! watch how this strength build destroys 60% of fth users holy AR with 27 simple skill points!

i bought this without killing her and only reaching Haligtree, the eldentree is burning though and he is gone so you can get the rewards earlier

it’s actually called “host please why are you running away i’m trying to buff you please just come here this boss exclusively deals holy damage”

                            • How to easily kill the final bosses on base ng:
                              Step 1: Cast this spell
Step 2: Equip Haligdrake Talisman +2
                              Step 3: There's no step 3.
For real though, a really nice buff for mitigating most of the arsenal of the two final bosses, and doesn't require as much investment as it seems.

Please add, as of patch 1.04 consuming Holyproof Dried Liver will override Lord’s Divine Fortification, and vice versa.

For those like me that achieved all the requirements but didn't get this from Gideon or didn't show at the Maidens Husks, it appeared for purchase after I defeated the final bosses but didn't start a NG+.
I know, a little late, but at least you can get it for your next run.

"nobody is perfect" wrong. the people who put their summon signs at the final boss and use this are objectively perfect

You can start to purchase this and his other items from the Shrinemaiden Husk if he is no longer there (Given you have done each requirement for the spell/item).

It is available for purchase at the Twin Husk Maidens for me before fighting Gideon. I defeated Maliketh before going to the Haligtree, which caused Gideon to move from the round table hold, and now the spell is available for sale.

It says you can buy it from the twin maiden husks after Gideon is hostile/dead, but do you have to meet the requirements to get it from gideon normally (aka beating malenia) to buy it from the husks? Or is it automatically up for purchase at that point no matter what?

If anybody even uses this site anymore, PLEASE tell me if i should complete the haligtree area before i do crumbling farum azula. I really want to cheese radagon and get my second elden rememberance, but im not sure if i should or shouldnt complete gideon's knowledge questline.

Welp, wish I figured this out on my own before wasting 2-3 hours getting my butt kicked by the final boss

                                              • Anonymous

The unlock conditions for this seem to be bugged. Didn't receive it from Gideon or find it in Twin Husk inventory. Seems like if you tell Gideon about Haligtree stuff in the wrong order (ie about Malenia and then the tree instead of tree first) it doesn't unlock.

big thank you to people who sit in front of the final boss with a build that utilizes this spell, really saved me from suffering even longer through my arcane build not working properly for once

                                                  • Anonymous

This incantation basically trivializes the final boss. You can enter the fight, cast this, stand up and go drink something, watch TV and when you go back final boss will still be there, trying to kill you in vain efforts.

                                                    • Anonymous

As of 03/15/2022, you receive the full benefit of this spell during PVP
(as opposed to how gimped the Drake Elemental Talismans elemental damage negation gets when in PVP)

W/ no armor, Holy damage WILL reduce by 60%
(If you're wearing armor, of course damage negation is multiplicative so it won't add a flat 60% extra, but it will work as you expect in PVP as it does in PVE)

                                                      • Anonymous

You must defeat Malenia, after that Gideon will have a new dialogue option and will give you that incantation

                                                        • Anonymous

simply reaching the haligtree only gets you black flame protection, I'm not sure how to get this incantation but the wiki here is wrong
